An 8 year old Australian girl is rocking people's socks off with her first hardcore video cleverly titled, well, 'My First Hardcore Song.' Who thought you could sing about a dog and some fish and become an overnight internet sensation?

Juliet can be seen getting her "two-step on" by climbing monkey bars, twirling in a chair, and bouncing on a trampoline with her stuffed animals. This honestly sounds more melodious than a lot of the hardcore songs out these days. "Let's open up this pit!" Indeed.

Juliet is the daughter of an Australian producer Rob Sharpe, which explains her early break into the music industry. Get your game together, aspiring hardcore musicians. Don't you feel like a slacker?

Do you think Juliet is too young to star in a hardcore video, or is this the cutest hardcore rocker you've ever seen?

Too bad New Year's Eve doesn't fall on a "Friday." If it did, it'd give the world one more reason to embrace Rebecca Black. Our favorite one-hit-wonder did scored a pretty interesting stat in 2011. Her "Friday" video ranked as this year's most watched YouTube clip.

With over 180 million views, "Friday" became an overnight sensation and so did its 13-year-old singer. Rebecca (who's part Latina) got to make the rounds on The Tonight Show and even appeared in a Katy Perry video after her clip hit it big. But Black was just one of the many viral sensations who caught on this year.

The second most watched YouTube clip involved (you guessed it) a family pet. No it wasn't a piano-playing feline, but rather the unlucky pooch from "Ultimate Dog Tease." Though it’s just a little over a minute long, "Dog Tease" definitely stirred up laughs (and 74 million views) with its woof woof dialogue.

Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg got quite a lot of YouTube attention this year too. Two of his digital SNL skits made the site's annual Top 10. Our personal favorite was "Jack Sparrow" starring Michael Bolton in full Pirates Of The Caribbean garb. Seen by over 60 million fans, it definitely captured the web's attention.

Rounding out the YouTube Top 5 were "Talking Twin Babies" and "Nyan Cat." The first delivered major LOLs with its diaper-clad duo chit chatting in their own goo-goo gaga language. "Nyan" looked like something out of an 80's video game and featured a space bound kitty riding an 8-bit rainbow. Though fun at first glance, be warned! "Nyan's" soundtrack is incessant and may be tough to get out of your head.

Of course, the beauty of YouTube is that most of its videos are created by everyday people. And we're more than certain that these amateur filmmakers earned some serious cash off their millions of views.

At this stage of the game, Jennifer Lopez is pretty easy to make fun of. Whether it’s her famous "junk in the trunk," her autotune lyrics, or those multiple husbands she keeps leaving behind, J to the Lo is a prime target for video parodies. And La Coacha and Jiggy Drama have lovingly skewered the A.I. diva and her latest hit "Papi."

Calling their track "Puppy," the four-minute video takes jabs at Marc Anthony, Bradley Cooper, and (you guessed it) William Levy. Coacha has built a huge online rep for her work with Perez Hilton and her hilarious viral videos. For this one, she does a dead-on Jennifer impression, right down the white suit!

Jiggy doesn't actually appear in the clip, but raps out a hilarious Pitbull impression for a spoof of "On The Floor." The Pit in the "Puppy" clip is an actual canine, complete with sunglasses and rough reggaeton beats.

So far, "Puppy" has garnered tens of thousands of YouTube views and has received a heavy push from Hilton's site (he exec produced the video). And if you dig it, you should definitely check out La Coacha's homepage, which features a great spoof of Lady Gaga's "Alejandro."

Inside is a social film experience -the first of it's kind-, directed by D.J. Caruso (Disturbia, Eagle Eye) starring Emmy Rossum, and possibly you! This is a completely new genre for Hollywood, where the audience can play as much of a role as the A-list talent and actors.

That's right, tell Mr. Caruso that you are "ready for your close up", because Inside lets you get involved and influence the events of the film using social media. It is presented by Intel and Toshiba, and the auditions were done via YouTube.

The story follows a young woman that is trapped with a laptop inside of a room. Using social media the viewers can interact with characters in real time via Facebook and Twitter to affect the plot in trying to help her escape, and possibly earn a featured cameo alongside Emmy Rossum in the final film.

The event started yesterday and runs through August 4th. The final film can be seen online, starting August 14. Check out all the action at www.theinsideexperience.com

All of you hoping to get your end-of-week musical fix may be in for a shocking surprise. It seems that Rebecca Black's signature "Friday" video has been pulled off YouTube because of an ongoing legal battle.

USA Today is reporting that Black's lawyers are accusing "Friday’s" producers of copyright infringement and may even be taking them to court. Part of the argument stems from the fact that Ark Music Factory, which supposedly owns the rights to the song, has been profiting heavily off the single.

And with 160 million views thus far, it's clear that "Friday" has made Ark quite a bit of cash. Believe it or not, Rebecca's parents paid the company just $4,000 to produce the song and video. And we're sure no one expected it to become this big of a hit.

Black made sure her Twitter fans were well aware of the situation and assured them that "Friday" would return.

"My Manager and Lawyer are on this and are going to get to the bottom of this! Stay tuned..." she posted.

But until then, we can at least get some enjoyment from Rebecca and Katy Perry with their newest anthem, "Last Friday Night."

It seems rather appropriate that Victoria Justice would label her latest contest "Beggin' On Your Knees." And it's not just because that's the name of her latest single. The reason that title fits so well is because her die-hard Nickelodeon fans would drop down and plead for the awesome prizes she's planning on handing out.

For one thing, the big winner of "Beggin' On Your Knees" gets to spend a whole day with Victorious star. Not only that, you'll be an exclusive guest of her concert sound check, which basically means a private show all to yourself.

Victoria went on to explain her excitement about the contest in a viral video connected to her site.

"The Wal Mart soundcheck is a mini concert where you and a friend will get to meet me and the cast of Victorious," she explained. "All you have to do is upload a video on YouTube telling us why you should win. I can't wait to see all your videos, so have fun and good luck!"

In all honesty, Victoria better be careful what she wishes for. Seeing her huge fanbase, we imagine there will be thousands of videos to choose from. But even if you don't take 1st place, entering is still worth a short. Other prizes include an iPod, Victorious DVDs, and a personalized Skype call with the lovely Ms. Justice herself.

When we spoke to Christian Chávez last month about his new song 'Libertad,' we knew he wrote it as an expression of his life as a gay man. And now he’s making that message even more clear with a sexy new video for the song that features him getting very passionate with a Latino hunk!

There is actually quite a lot to see in the new 'Libertad' video. Throughout the five-minute clip, viewers are shown creepy bunny costumes, celebrity cameos, and some very sexy shots of Anahi (who may or may not be sporting a new nose). But the scenes that are attracting the most attention feature Christian hooking up with a guy in an alley, at a club, and in the back seat of a car.

Ex RBDs Christian and Anahi also seem to be sporting some very interesting outfits throughout the video. Dancing against a neon backdrop, they are both revealing quite a bit of skin, along with tight leather pants and some seriously sharp spikes.

Despite its provocative undertones, the 'Libertad' video is proving itself to be a major hit. Just three days after launching on YouTube, the song received over one million views. According to Billboard, Christian was so dedicated to making the video his way, that he helped pay for production costs with his own money.

Speaking about his vision for the project, he said:

“When young people are discovering their sexuality they live these things. And in the end, my character finds the other character and they find love in the wrong place. The message is a little that in life you go through tough times and finally make it through."

Get ready for an entirely new type of awards show. Capitalizing on all of the latest viral and social media trends, MTV announced the nominees for its very first O Awards this week. Fan favorites like Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber did score nods, but not in traditional categories. This time you’ll see them competing for Must Follow Artist on Twitter and Best Fan Forum.

Set to take place via webcast on April 28, the O Awards is nixing red carpets and Academy voters, and putting the entire event in the hands of the fans. Winners will be decided via social media votes and the results will be shown in real-time on MTV.com, VH1.com, and through mobile phone apps.

“Some elements of this will be experimental,” MTV’s head of digital media, Dermot McCormack said. “If there’s such a thing as a beta award show, this is it.”

Even the nominees are pretty unconventional. It’s hard to imagine “Friday” sensation Rebecca Black getting honored for her work, but she did score an O nod for Favorite Animated GIF. And that’s only the beginning. Artists ranging from Michael Jackson, to The Beatles, to Andre 3000 were also recognized for their online popularity.

Some of the more interesting categories include Best Animal Performance (I got my money on Sax Playing Walrus), Best Music Hashtag Meme, and Best Independent Music Blog.

Must Follow Artist on Twitter is definitely going to be one of the fiercest battles with artists like Kanye West, Lady Gaga, and Nicki Minaj competing.

And all of you Latino fans don’t worry. O showed some cultural love too, nominating YouTube sensations Jorge and Alexa Narvaez for their heartwarming duet clip. The entire list of nominees is now available for viewing on the O Awards website and obviously since it is a social media based event, you can expect plenty of daily updates if you follow them on Twitter.

In some ways, you’ve got to feel a little sorry for YouTube phenom Rebecca Black. Since her critically-panned "Friday" song hit the web a few weeks back, the 13 year-old has been relentlessly scrutinized by the media. And now it looks like celebrities are layering on the haterade too, particularly Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus.

"It should be harder to be an artist," Cyrus told Australia's Daily Telegraph . "You shouldn't just be able to put a song on YouTube and go on tour."

We wouldn’t be so quick to judge. Mediums like YouTube have helped legitimate artists like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga seriously boost their fan base. But then again, neither of them had a song quite as divisive as “Friday.” Love or hate Rebecca’s end-of-the-week anthem, it’s definitely attracted a lot of views.

Miley made a point of dismissing all social media in her latest interview, saying that internet fame isn’t always a good thing.

"I do not tweet, I do not social network, I try to stay out of it. I complain enough about people knowing too much about my private life, so to go out there and exploit myself would be silly and hypocritical."

As for Rebecca, she doesn’t seem to be discouraged in the slightest. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that she’s already back in the studio recording her “Friday” followup.

You might be asking yourself: "Who is Rebecca Black, and why should I care, anyway?" Well, the short answer is that Rebecca Black is the most recent in a string of teen sensations making a name for themselves on the worldwide web through the magic of videos gone viral.

Ranging from the Asian Backstreet Boys to Justin Bieber, today’s teens the world over have taken their dreams of stardom into their own hands, bringing their performances to the people on video sharing sites like YouTube. So what’s different about Rebecca Black? And what is she doing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno? Why is Lady Gaga herself calling Black "a genius"? Why is she getting calls from Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest?

Well for one thing, according to an interview with US Magazine, the 13 year old Orange County, California, teenager’s parents have her back.

"My mom is my biggest fan. She is so supportive, and she would always say that everything happens for a good, positive reason. Those people are the people that have no lives sitting on a computer all day thinking about what to say."

"My dad is my bodyguard. He is always so protective, and has always been supportive as well. He's just telling me to do what I love to do. There are going to be haters, but don’t let them bring you down."

They were central to the genesis of Black’s hit single, "Friday," paying the aptly-named Ark Music Factory (click if you dare!) for Rebecca to record the song (she's not the writer) and produce the video, which was then launched on YouTube. Mere days later, Rebecca Black was a star. In fact, posted on February 10 of this year, the song has already garnered more than 47 million views, jumping to #72 on the US charts. (it’s #33 in New Zealand, if you can believe it. I guess Kiwis like the weekend even more than the rest of us…)

In fact, the video is a shrewdly crafted bit of postmillennial fluff that’s overflowing with the classic tropes of modern pop. It doesn’t spare the auto-tune, nor yet the rap interlude (it’s at 02:30.) It features the kind of special effects often seen on local TV commercials, including poky after-effects graphics and scenes clearly filmed in a car in front of a green screen. It also co-stars some less-than-enthused kids who don’t appear to be completely committed to their characters. Black herself is perhaps not the most musically talented sensation ever to spring from the worldwide web. But maybe it’s the material. With lyrics such as "Tomorrow is Saturday/And Sunday comes afterwards," it’s not be surprising that the video has scored 66,083 'likes' and a whopping 561,747 'dislikes.'

And this was her pick! Black told Jay Leno on the Tonight Show earlier this week that she was previously offered a song on the subject of love, but turned it town because, as she’s fond of saying, "I’m only thirteen. Not appropriate."

"Friday" has also spawned tons of parodies the sure sign of a web sensation. They range from sweet to snarky. "Friday" has even been called out by Comedy Central’s tosh.0 in a piece called "Songwriting isn’t for everyone."

Which brings us back to the original question: should we care? Why is this friendly-looking California girl on one of the most famous variety shows of all time? Well, she’s charming, modest, cute, squeaky-clean, totally accessible, and she appears to have the means to get her face out there. Why not? She charmed the heck out of Jay Leno and fellow Tonight Show guest Bradley Cooper.

And do you know what else? She’s donating the proceeds from her record to the victims of the Japanese Earthquake Disaster!

As for myself, I’m going to reserve judgment. After all, it is Friday.

Nessacrest out.
