Nike unveiled a new commercial on Wednesday (April 7th), featuring Tiger Woods and the voice of his deceased father, Earl Woods. By using existing recordings, it sounds like Woods' father is addressing him about his recent sex scandal. Creepy!
This is a bold step for Nike, who chose to stick by their spokesperson after the golf champ lost three major endorsement deals with Gatorade, AT&T, and Accenture. But did Nike and Woods take it too far? Watch below.
Tr3s Comunidad, we want to hear from you! Weigh in on this cryptic commercial in the comments or @MTV3!

If you're a Vice reader, then you know that drugs and films are popular topics. Enter the recent VBS.TV offering: "Vice’s Guide To Cinema: Mexican Narco Cinema."
The piece explores the world of films inspired by, and often funded by, drug cartels.

For the first installment in the Vice Guide To Film series, Co-Founder Shane Smith travels from Texas to Tijuana to immerse himself in the seedy, fast-paced, and prolific world.
Guanabee commended Vice for not fetishizing the genre and actually delving into the socioeconomic reasons that make these kinds of films so popular in Mexico.

I found a treat over on the MTV Movies Blog today, starring '80s pop sensation Tiffany: Yes, we're talking about "Mega Piranha," premiering on SyFy April 10th!
The tagline alone makes it worth seeing:
"They were created to save mankind. Something went wrong."
I'm just going to come out and say it: this plot is awesomanly (awesome + manly). Team Blogamole can't even fathom what it would be like to be eaten alive by giant piranhas. How do the stars of this camp-fest fight the unholy creatures? Why, with helicopters and bazookas, of course.
If you want to experience the cinematic genius that is a giant fish crashing into a building (or getting punched in the gills), please watch this amazing trailer.
"They eat, they grow, they multiply — and they'll never, ever stop!"
I may have to watch this just to see that sentence come from Tiffany's mouth. It will be a moment full of win!
Tr3s Comunidad, do you share my geeky joy over this made-for-TV magic? Tell us in the comments or @MTV3!

Julieta Venegas should check her timeline: since releasing her fifth studio album, Otra Cosa (Something Else), la cantante Mexicana has been getting a lot of tweet-love!
Our friends over at Acceso Total recently sent us some exclusive clips. In them, the singer reveals a personal message for her fans:
"I hope [you] enjoy this album, I hope you enjoy the songs that I've done, I've really enjoyed doing them and put a lot of love into them ... and I would love it if [fans] can get them into their lives and live them, I hope they do."
Julieta shared this statement with The Houston Chronicle's Peep Blog:
"I do love saying things in a simple way, and it's something I've been trying to do for years. At the same time, there's a difference between simple and simplistic. I just want it to have its own profundity. I think it's just my personality."
That independent spirit can be found in her single "Bien O Mal," which features an accordion. The video is something to behold as well: gorgeous women devouring flowers and passing gas — in the form of butterflies!
Venegas released debut album Aqui in 1998. She gained notorioty with 2003's Sí, featuring hits "Andar Conmigo," "Lento" and "Algo Está Cambiando." Julieta is touring right now to support Otra Cosa — you can find dates and locations on her MySpace page.

Last month's 8.8 earthquake in Chile shook the nation to the core, but no amount of destruction will hold back el orgullo Chileno. So, what better way to show the world that Chile's still got it? Nacional Records has lined up a roster of the most rockin' artistas Chilenos to contribute to a new benefit album.
On the record is rapper Anita Tijoux, known for her collaboration with Julieta Venegas on her mega-hit "Eres Para Mi." Anita will also be repping for Chile at SXSW este año, promoting her upcoming album '1977.'
Also on the roster are Latin indie favorites Latin Bitman (who narrowly escaped being squashed by debris), and RH+, who appeared at last year's LAMC festival in New York City.
According to the guys at Nacional Records, the quake hit pretty close to home for some of them:
Nacional founder Tomas Cookman was in Chile with Los Fabulosos Cadillacs for Viña del Mar when the earthquake occurred. Fortunately no one in the band was injured but Tomas does have a bruised leg. The group ended up taking a van across the Andes back to Argentina so they were able to witness the devastation firsthand. Latin Bitman was DJing a massive party when the earthquake occurred. He escaped but within minutes, he noticed that the ceiling had caved exactly where he had been playing.
Que susto! We're just glad nobody was hurt. And you can bet we'll be picking up the CD when it's released later this week! [LA Weekly]
Watch a clip of Anita Tijoux's latest track below, and check out the full track-list behind the cut. Cuentanos, will you pick up the CD?

The epic collaboration between todos los mejores artistas del mundo de la música Latina has hit the airwaves. It's a veritable who's who of Latin music, and all for a great cause -- helping raise funds for Haiti, following January's devastating earthquake.
Who can you spot in the video? We're kinda digging on the remix portion where Pitbull and Daddy Yankee come in over the electric guitar... and we're dying to know, who is that mystery guitarrista?
Watch the video below, and weigh in -- que te parece la versión en Español? Cual es tu parte favorita? Who else would you have liked to see in the video?
