Happy Valentine's Day! Today marks the annual celebration of love and commitment between companions. Although some people turn the occasion into a huge spectacle, many couples express their love with a more modest approach. Here's how some celebrities couples are spending their Valentine's Day.
Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, who have been married since 2004, say quality time is the secret to the success of their marriage.
“I think we're gonna just steal a couple of hours alone, which would be a luxury for us,” J.Lo told Extra after last night's Grammy Awards. “Yeah, lock ourselves in a room and just have some quiet time.”
LeAnn Rimes and fiancé Eddie Cibrian have also decided to chill out this V-Day.
“We are just going to hang with friends, play Wii and eat pizza,” Rimes told Extra. “Just being with people I love is what counts.”
Kim Kardashian's beau, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, will be taking on the San Antonio Spurs tonight, so the reality star will be spending her Valentine's Day in Vegas.
“I'm doing a girl's trip to Vegas,” Kimmy K told TV Guide's Chris Harrison. “The boyfriend is busy working so all the girls who have boyfriends or husbands who are working are going to get together and party in Vegas.”
Justin Bieber, whose professional life is booming with today's release of “Never Say Never — The Remixes,” wouldn't say much except that today will be unlike V-Days of the past. Perhaps Disney Princess Selena Gomez will help him break tradition.
“I've been single every Valentine's Day,” Bieber told disneydreaming.com. “I've never been with a girl on Valentine's Day, so yeah, maybe we can change that this year, right?
Presidential couple Barack and Michelle Obama have overcome incredible obstacles in their 19-year marriage. Their commitment withstood the pressures of political ambitions, the public eye and now the presidency, so when the First Lady shells out marriage advice, we should all take notes. What's their secret?
"I think a lot of laughing," first lady Michelle Obama told The Huffington Post. "I think in our house we don't take ourselves too seriously, and laughter is the best form of unity, I think, in a marriage.”
We couldn't agree more.
How will you spend your Valentine's Day? Tell us in the comments or @MTV3.

El reggaetonero made one lady fan's dreams come true this week, but it's not any kind of fan you would expect. Tito "El Bambino" reportedly met super-fan Luz Prats, una señora de 90 años(!), who dreamed of meeting el cantante and having him sing "El Amor" to her.
Talk about a Valentine's Day treat!! La señora, who called Tito her idol, had this to say about her favorite song:
“...esa canción es donde se dice lo que es el amor, cómo llega el amor. La escuché por primera vez en la radio cuando iba para Isabela.”
Tito "El Bambino" assures that his lyrics, though primarily aimed at los jovenes, "son para todo tipo de público."
El cantante también anunció que se encuentra solterito y sin compromisos, and despite any rumors, he will not be dating anyone from the artistic world anytime soon. He also confirmed that he will be performing at the annual Viña del Mar International Song Festival en Chile este 25 de febrero.
We love that he paid his super-fan a visit and serenaded her! Que tierno, verdad? [Ritmo Urbano]

With the disturbing allegations of abuse regarding the former R&B dream team couple this week...
We're reminded how anyone can fall victim to an abusive relationship. The alleged confrontation between Chris Breezy and RiRi came coincidentally a few days after National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Week, a three-week-old effort to get warning signs about violence out to young people (16-24) in relationships.
We learned from the Texas Council on Family Violence that 75 percent of Texans age 16-24 who were surveyed during the awareness week reported experiencing dating violence or knew someone who had. Being that Texas has a huge Latino population, this continues to be a major concern for our comunidad.
Most people don't realize when they are actually IN an abusive relationship. When does cute jealousy and pasión turn dangerous? Leave those for las telenovelas. We recently gave you tips for a HEALTHY relationship; now we're giving out signs of a rocky one. We partnered with Urban Strategies otra vez to get a check list of red flags. Read more...

Who knows how to play the love game better than Fanny Lu?

The Colombiana's playful lyrics jump straight-out of the pages of a love column. Her sophormore album, "Dos," embodies all of the shades of el amor - from the witty break-up song, "Tú No Eres Para Mi" to the rocky possessive track, "Celos." Fanny Lu knows passion, love, and drama. We recently sat down exclusively with the Latin Grammy-nominated singer about her thoughts on finding "Amor Sincero."
She states:
La cosa más importante es considerar los sentimientos. La honestidad es algo que respeto mucho. Nadie nos obliga a estar con nadie. Si estamos con alguien es porque realmente los queremos. Eso se ve en los ojos cuando te miran y se siente con una caricia.
We are feelin' this chica's honesty. What is your secret to real love?

Though it's easy to feel left out on El Día de los Enamorados, don't fret. This year MTV Tr3s has your back! We've put together a list of five tips to celebrate being happily unattached this Valentine's day.
Tip#1: Girls Night Out
Call up your single chicas for a girly night on the town including make overs, manicures and martinis. Why not take this special day to pamper the most important person you're in a relationship with – you! P.S. -- some snazzy nail salons offer fancy drinks too! Once you and your girl squad are all dolled up continue the fun by dancing the night away at a club OR maybe seeing He’s Just Not That Into You, A.K.A the single gal’s bible.
Tip#2: Girls Night In
Don’t feel up to hitting the pavement? No te preocupes. Coordinate a chicas only pajama party instead (that means no texting exes nor drunk dials). Watch tearjerkers, chow down on popcorn and chocolate and pass the chisme around por toda la noche. Suggested topics of discussion? Loves-gone-wrong and why-can't-i-find-a-man woes will go well with your fave pair of fat pants. Some all-time chick flick faves we recommend for the occasion are: Hitch, How to Lose A Guy in Ten Days, The Notebook and The Holiday.

No matter your age, receiving a $1 rose telegram in la escuela or a dulce surprise at work can easily make anyone's Valentine's Day. We have a couple of sweet and satisfying tips for a bueno, bonito y barato Valentine's Day on a budget.

Tip #1: Leave your credit card at home and get creative - Your wallet is begging for more billetes, but that is no excuse to pull out the plastic. Take this opportunidad to shine with homemade goodies. Even the most notorious gold-digger will flash a sonrisa once you fix-up a handmade card or custom made gift.
Want a new spin on a self-made regalito? Try copping a stylish and inexpensive tote bag, and stuff it with your loved one's favorite cositas. You can also make your own tote Love Bag. Add their favorite book or candy in the bag mixed with decorative tissue paper. Yes, this requires more effort, but it will make your gift priceless...and environmentally friendly. (Xhilaration Heart Graphic Tote -Target: $9.99)
Tip #2: Stick to basics. Keep it fresh without spending a hefty price for the designer goods. For example, is your crush crazy about accessories? There are dozens of make-your-own jewelry kits that are inexpensive and come with enough beads for a hand-full of secret admirers. You can also purchase individual pendants with a sweet inspirational message. Qué cute! (Fresh Large Squares Graphic Pendants - Michaels: $5.00)

Tip #3: Never ignore la pancita! No importa if it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner - everyone loves a satisfying meal. Hence the saying, 'The way into a person's heart is in their belly." Dust off your chef hat and cook-up a fancy five-star cuisine at home. You are not alone...ask amigos or your abuelitos for help. Remember, you can work magic with cilantro, garlic, and sazón.
