At the sold out 2010 Summer Jam concert at New Meadowlands Stadium on Sunday night (June 6), Hot 97 showcased versatility and camaraderie between today's hottest R&B and hip-hop stars. Through rain and sunshine, the annual hip-hop concert brought out Nicki Minaj look-alikes, Diplomats fans, "Free Weezy" T-shirts and Trey Songz groupies (who can blame them?).

With Gucci Mane kicking off the event, everyone — including Summer Jam virgin Drake — blessed old fans with their classic hits, while converting others with new material.

Below is our list of Summer Jam performance highlights, ranked from most tantalizing to overrated.

Most Tantalizing: Trey Songz
It was very hard to keep our eyes off of Trey Songz. As videos for "I Invented/Say Ahh" and "Neighbors Know My Name" played behind him, Songz re-created an intimate night with an imaginary figure, telling the ladies, "I want you to use your imagination." Afterward, Songz brought up one lucky lady to pour water in her mouth and close his set with his hit "Say Aah," featuring Fabolous.
Most Enthusiastic: Drake
With his widely anticipated album, Thank Me Later, hitting stores on June 15th, it made sense that Drake was the most hyped of the night. A virgin to Summer Jam, Drake brought out Birdman and Nicki Minaj to pay tribute to his mentor Lil Wayne. A highlight was when he dropped to his knees, giving a shout out to his conglomerate and what got him on the map: TeenNick series, "Degrassi."

Most Deserving Of The Crown: Usher
As headliner of the night, Usher came out strong. Usher rocked the stage in all white everything, satisfying the crowd with classics like "You Make Me Wanna" to his most recent hit "OMG." Unfortunately, Usher didn't allow photographers to capture the moment.
Most Underrated: Ludacris
He may not have been the headliner, but no other artist on the bill had the entire crowd reciting every word to every song! From "Splash Waterfalls" to "How Low," Ludacris' talent and fame was undeniable.
Most Liked By The Masses: DJ Khaled and Friends
DJ Khaled temporarily stole the show by bringing up artists who made the fans go crazy: T-Pain (who was wearing an impressive Kool-Aid Man chain), Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Nicki Minaj, Barrington Levy, Fat Joe, Cam'ron, Freekey Zekey, Vado and Diddy's son, Justin. Khaled started and ended his set with the remix to "All I Do Is Win" and had the entire audience on their feet with "I'm So Hood."

Most Likely To Put Us In The Summer Jam Mood: Juelz Santana
Juelz Santana has graced the Summer Jam stage before. Instead of bringing up the rest of the Diplomats (for a highly anticipated reunion), Santana let us down easy by bringing up Lloyd Banks to wild up the crowd with hit, "Beamer, Benz and Bentley." According to MTV News, one source close to their camp said Jim Jones had some issues with security and police and was not granted entrance.
Most Fashionable: Fabolous
Fabolous is known for his over-sized tees, but this time around he surprised us by wearing studded sneakers and vest. He hyped up the crowd with tracks from his latest mixtape, There Is No Competition 2 (The Funeral Service) and a few classics like "Breathe."
Most Out Of Place: "Reflection Eternal"
Although featuring both Estelle and J.Cole on stage was a great surprise, Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek's (Reflection Eternal) performance was still a bit out of place.
You can catch most of these artists when they appear on VH1's Hip Hop Honors Awards tonight (June 7) at 9 PM EST!

Fans waited anxiously for last week’s release of Daddy Yankee’s ninth album, Mundial, and since then the highly anticipated compilation has hit the second spot on iTune Latino’s Top Album’s list. His new fast-paced tracks, including "La Despedida," include a colorful combination of salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, dance, and hip-hop fusions. We can definitely see a few of them creating the same global buzz as his infamous “Gasolina.”
(Check out Daddy Yankee's Fashion Evolution in this photo gallery!)
His upcoming television appearance won't hurt sales either — Daddy Yankee will be featured in upcoming episodes of "Bold and the Beautiful," where he'll perform tracks from Mundial.
In a recent press conference covered by The Examiner, El Cangri explained why he gravitated towards a global theme for this album:
"Through my world travels over the years, I've had the chance to learn about the lives and traditions of many cultures around the globe so the idea to make this concept album was born out of those experiences."
His global inspiration gave birth to his latest single titled, "Grito Mundial," sure to be a crossover hit.
According to Billboard, critics definitely agree that the track can serve as the 2010 World Cup soundtrack. Not a bad buzz to have attached to a song when you are used to selling over $8 million albums!
Tr3s Comunidad, do you think Daddy Yankee’s 'Mundial' will receive the global impact it deserves? Leave your comments below or @MTV3!

We recently caught up with 'Yearbook Chronicles' cast-member Martha, who sent us the following note about what she's been up to since the show aired, and shared some of the advice she wished someone would've given her about the realities of teen pregnancy.
Hey everybody, it's Martha! My life has been really good but I'm still struggling to get my high school diploma and do something for me and my son to move on forward. It's hard but I have learned never to give up! For all those girls out there, be very careful! Teen pregnancy is one of the hardest obstacles in life. It comes with a lot of struggles and things that can knock you down if you let yourself.
I have been strong for my son, but I could have prevented it from happening. I went from being a 16-year-old teenager to having my life change as a mom. Now I'm 18 with a 2-year-old son. It's hard but heart-warming to see how my son looks forward to seeing me. If your boyfriend tells you "if you love me you will have my baby" or "if you love me you will give it up to me" -- and those are the famous words most guys use to get you girls to be with them -- that means they don't truly love you. True love will wait and not force you. It's hard 'cause you might love that person, but you will love yourself throughout life knowing you weren't a fool to fall for those dumb words. Live your teenage years and have fun.
As for me, I have school and work. I don't have time for teenage life to go out with my friends but that's a life I chose to take. Be smart girls and protect yourselves! Be safe. If anybody would like to personally talk to me you may I would be happy to hear and answer any questions you may have! You can reach me at my email martha.mendez91@yahoo.com.
The highly-acclaimed documentary 'Yearbook Chronicles' aired last year on MTV Tr3s, and gave us an inside look at los problemas that Latino youth face en las escuelas. It also explored some of the most compelling reasons for the high Latino high school dropout rate, including teen pregnancy.
Did you know that 30% of female high-school dropouts stated teen pregnancy as the reason for dropping out of school? Among Hispanic girls who've left school, 38% of them stated teen pregnancy as the reason -- compared with 21% for non-Hispanic girls, it is sobering to think that this seems to be more frequent among Latinas. While there are of course many other reasons besides teen motherhood for dropping out of school, and some girls leave school before they get pregnant, these two things have been closely connected. 69% of Latina teen mothers drop out of high school, and most teen moms who have babies by age 18 never finish high school, with only about 3% of them finishing college by age 30.
More startling facts? 52% of Latinas get pregnant at least once before turning 20 — that means if you're Latina, you're more likely than not to get pregnant as a teen. With nearly 3 in 10 girls becoming pregnant before they are 20 throughout the U.S., this is not just an issue for the Latino community, but a problem that needs to be faced head-on by la comunidad entera.
The good news, as Martha says in her note, is that unplanned and teen pregnancy is completely and 100% avoidable. Fore more info and resources on the topic, check out The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy at www.thenationalcampaign.org, and www.stayteen.org.
