After a series of blown calls in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, FIFA may be feeling the pressure to introduce instant replay. Its one thing to blow a call during preliminary rounds, as was done to the U.S. against Slovenia earlier in the tournament, but its a lot more significant when done in the knock-out Round of 16!
At least FIFA president Sepp Blatter is acknowledging it this time. According to NBC Sports, he recently apologized to England and Mexico for the latest blunders. “Naturally we deplore when you see the evidence of refereeing mistakes,” Blatter said in an apology to England and Mexico team officials at Sunday's matches. "The English said 'thank you.' The Mexicans, they just go with the head," Blatter said, indicating that they nodded. "I understand that they are not happy. It was not a five-star game for refereeing."

Blatter was referring to England's match against Germany, where England was denied a goal by midfielder Frank Lampard that clearly crossed the line by a foot and would have tied the score 2-2 at the half.
England went on to lose the match 4-1 but the goal that was called off could have significantly altered the momentum and changed the match. England is now eliminated from the tournament as Germany moves on to face Argentina in the next round (July 3).
Speaking of Argentina, they were also the benefactors of a blown call by referees. In their match against Mexico – which they won 3-1 – Argentinian player Carlos Tevez was offside when he headed in a pass from Lionel Messi to take the lead. Referee Roberto Rosetti awarded the goal after consulting with his linesman. The loss eliminates Mexico from the tournament.

The U.S. premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" was held last Thursday (6/24) in downtown Los Angeles. In addition to Kristin Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and the rest of our favorite vamps and werewolves who were in attendance, there were a bevy of celebs including Mario Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Alex Rodriguez.
Of course the question on everyone's mind was Team Edward or Team Jacob, given the love triangle that occurs in the third book of the series (sleeping bag scene anyone). Access Hollywood caught up with our favorite Yankee slugger, where he declared his team allegiance.

"Team Edward. You’re putting me on the spot now.”
A-Rod said his two daughters are into the series and he's impressed by the "Twilight" phenomenon.
“It’s a great experience. What they’re doing here with this brand is amazing. It’s an amazing film and you know, this film will probably last for decades to come. So, you can tell that people are very excited about the movie.”
Another Twihard is born! Alex was also questioned on his relationship status and confirmed his bachelorhood:
“I’m, single. I’m here having a good time enjoying LA.”
We bet you are! Isn't Cameron Diaz a local? I'm sure she revealed all her favorite spots prior to his arrival...pun intended.
Are you team Edward or Jacob, Tr3s Comunidad? Let us know below or @MTV3!

Swish! Not to toot our own horn, but Team Blogamole went 5 for 5 on our 2010 NBA Draft top 5 Predictions! During last week's 2010 NBA Draft, players were judged and selected according to playing ability, potential, character, and now — thanks to Team Blogamole — fashion sense.
It's been said, you only have one chance to make a strong first impression, so how did our most recent draft class measure it when it came to the Suit Game?

Thanks to Sean Jean and Maserati's “Pre-Draft Fine Tailoring Experience” event at Sean Jean's flagship location on 5th Avenue in New York City, current NBA stars and top prospects entering the draft were provided an opportunity to get styled appropriately for Thursday night's event. Athletes were given Sean John Fine Tailored suits and select items from the sportswear and denim collections. Diddy has his hands in everything!
NBA Draft class attendees included: Evan Turner, Wesley Johnson, Ed Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, Gordon Hayward, Paul George, Xavier Henry, Greg Monroe, Derrick Favors, Ekpe Udoh, Patrick Patterson and Cole Aldrich. NBA players that attended were Blake Griffin, 2009-10 NBA rookie of the year Tyreke Evans, Al Harrington, and Taj Gibson.
Being the self-promoting genius that he is, Mr. Combs even shared a link to view photos of the event via Twitter:
“Check out the top NBA draft picks getting fitted in our suits at our Pre-Draft Fine Tailoring Event! RT http://j.mp/aA34sG “
Here are some draft selections and Team Blogamole's ratings:

As Team Blogamole predicted, the number one selection was University of Kentucky's John Wall to the Washington Wizards. Although he wasn't one Diddy's attendees, the young man did alright for himself, we must say. Decked in a grey pinstriped suit, baby blue shirt the same color as the stripes with matching hankerchief, and what appeared to be a grey and blue paisley tie, Wall took a very classy approach and receives an A- in our book.

The number two selection — also as we predicted — was Ohio State's Evan Turner to the Philadelphia 76ers. A recepient of the “Fine Tailoring Experience,” Wall played it safe in a grey suit, white shirt, and orange tie with matching handkerchief. Turner even Tweeted about his outfit:
“Feeling good right now. I have my gray suit on with my scarlet tie. Oh and the ohio state cuff links...so necessary... “
Overall, it was a good look and the suit fit beautifully. We'll give him a B+

And you thought the drama on the court was bad. When their husbands Kobe and Lamar were battling the Celts, it sounds like Khloe Kardashian Odom and Vanessa Bryant had a little battle brewing of their own!
In Touch Weekly is reporting that Vanessa (who's been married to Kobe for over 9 years) is not feeling the love for the newest Laker wife on the block. We all know that the Khloe Kardashian Lamar Odom marriage seemed like a rushed affair. Could it have all been done for publicity? Apparently that's what Vanessa is possibly thinking and she's not happy about it!

Insiders have revealed that she considers Khloe to be a "fake wife" and disapproves of the Kardashian's high-profile lifestyle. But how far has the feud gone? Visibly, it's pretty clear that during the finals these two ladies were nowhere near each other (Khloe preferred the company of big sister Kim). And it's been reported that Mrs. Odom's even been ousted from the traditional Laker wife dinners!
Thankfully, the female drama didn't seem to interfere with Kobe and Lamar's game, as evidenced with the phat trophy they took home last week. Can't we all just get along?

We love everything about the 2010 World Cup, including random acts of awesome that happen off the field. If Argentina wins, Pepsi Cola plans to follow the example of Argentina's coach Diego Maradona, who says he'll celebrate by running naked through Buenos Aires.
In the spirit of solidarity, Pepsi will strip down their bottled soft drinks for one week in Argentina. The labelless plastic bottle of dark liquid will be dressed in nothing but a blue label fastened to the neck of the bottle reading, "If the coach goes naked, we will, too. Pepsi promises." Nice!

Maradona, a frequently controversial former soccer star who is coaching his first World Cup team, apparently responded to a radio interviewer who asked how he would celebrate an Argentine victory by saying he would strip and run naked around the Obelisk, a famous Buenos Aires landmark.
Argentina isn't tipped to win the World Cup, but the country isn't a long shot, either. Brazil and Spain are considered the tournament's favorites, but Argentina boasts star player Lionel Messi and the odds on Argentina emerging next month as the champion are about 6-1.
If Argentina wins, Pepsi is ready.
What do you think of Maradona's victory lap? Weigh in below or @MTV3!

Team Blogamole has kept close tabs on the 2010 FIFA World Cup standings. Now, with the elimination Round of 16 approaching, even celebrities aren't immune to World Cup fever!

Shakira has been posting Twitpics since Day 1 of the World Cup, sharing Copa love from all over the world. Juanes twitter his disappointment for Mexico earlier this week: "triste por México .. felicidades para Uruguay y con toda Argentina !! Esa copa es para los latinos o España !!"
Teams are still battling it out to advance to the Round of 16. Here's what you need to know:
Round of 16 Day 1 (Saturday, June 26)
Winner of Group C plays runner up of Group D:
The U.S., claiming the number 1 spot in Group C after an exciting victory against Algeria Wednesday, (June 23) will battle against second seeded Ghana from Group D on Saturday in Port Elizabeth.

“Rock n Gol” star Akon took to Twitter, closely following the games:
“I still have hope for our African teams...” but still showed good sportsmanship congratulating the US in their win against Algeria “Big up to USA and ENG for their wins today.”
It's all good Akon, the US has Nick Jonas's excitement to rally behind. He showed his support for the U.S. from the very beginning, tweeting “Let's go USA!!!!!” with literally over 110 exclamation marks! Trust us, we counted.

The NBA's season just ended, with the Lakers defeating the Celtics to capture their second straight title. Zing! But the excitement has just begun for us; here comes the 2010 NBA Draft! It all goes down Thursday (June 24) in New York City and is set to air on ESPN at 7 PM ET.
Out of the goodness of our blogging hearts, Team Blogamole compiled draft analyses so you could focus on La Super Copa Tr3s. Didn't we tell you we got this? Wait. Did we? *Google search* Oh. We didn't. Well this time — on the record — Team Blogamole is here for you.
Here are our top 5 picks for the 2010 NBA Draft:

Washington Wizards - John Wall, PG, Kentucky 6'4
The number one pick in this year's draft was a no-brainer. If the Wizards can't move Gilbert Arenas to a new team, they will simply move him to the two guard position and allow Wall to take over the point. Wall is fast, extremely athletic, and can break down defenses and get to the rim in a half court setting. With the most potential in the draft, the 2010 SEC Player of the year possesses “franchise player” capabilities.
Philadelphia 76ers – Evan Turner, SG/F Ohio State 6'7
Our personal favorite player in the draft, Turner shows true leadership skills, versatility — and the kid can rebound. Turner was the first player ever in Big Ten history to finish in the top five in points, rebounds, and assists, earning him the Big Ten Player of the Year award. With the 76ers trading Samuel Dalembert to the Sacramento Kings, one would assume Derrick Favors would occupy the #2 spot — but Turner gets the edge because he would be the perfect complement to Andre Iguodala on the wing.
