Tuesday's passage of California's Proposition 8, which bans same-sex marriage in the state, has sparked heated protests and celebrities are joining the proactive rally. Perez Hilton, Madonna, and Christina Aguilera are just some of the estrellas speaking-up against the ban.

Unless you had to be in for curfew, we all remember Madge and X-Tina's tongue-twisting girl-on-girl moment at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards (with the "I'm Not That Innocent" Britney Spears included!). The performance highlight may be as played-out as Madonna's 'alleged' affair with A-Rod, but the pop-a-licious moment showcases that las divas share saliva and political ideas just the same.

According to reports, more than 2,000 people protested outside of a Mormon temple to fight against the church's role in getting the measure passed. Street protests have continued since Tuesday and some people are afraid that existing gay marriages in California will be nullified. The "4 Minutes" pop icon quickly stated in relation to Proposition 8:

If we can have an African American president, we can have gay marriage!

A blonder (and very bronzed) Christina also spoke-out about her thoughts on MTV News:

The pop stars have stated their case, but we want to hear your voz! What are your thoughts on Proposition 8? [MTV News, Los Angeles Times]

Latinos represented their votes and helped make historia at the 2008 Presidential Election.

The evening resulted in a national wave of "SI SE PUEDE" chants, tears of victory, and yes, even explosive echoes of homemade fireworks. McCain may not have won enough electoral votes, but Latino supporters were just as watchful.

CNN reported that an estimated 67% of Latinos gave their votes to Barack Obama, while 30% gave their tickets to McCain. Why the major gap? According to the news network, 80% of Latinos disapproved of President Bush, and believed that McCain-Palin's administration would result in the same political ideals.

Senator McCain made sure to bow down gracefully by stating:

My friends, we have come to the end of a long journey. The American people have spoken, and they have spoken clearly. A little while ago, I had the honor of calling Senator Barack Obama to congratulate him on being elected the next President of the country that we both love.

El Cangri must be heartbroken over this! Pobrecito.

But this isn't about celebrity endorsements because the majority rules! Presidente Obama sealed his glory with a memorable acceptance speech repeating "YES WE CAN":

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

Congratulations Obama! Are you still repeating "SI SE PUEDE" in your barrio? [MTV News, MTV News, CNN]

With only 17 days to go until the Twilight release, actor Kellan Lutz can already see the hype swelling...

Without getting his head gassed. Bueno, he should with an upcoming blockbuster movie and two music video appearances on his resume! Besides being in Hilary Duff's video for "With Love," MTV News just caught up with Lutz while shooting the video for Hinder's new single, "Without You."

He had this to say about his role as the "bad boyfriend":

There's a scene where Amy sees me talking to another girl, flirting around," he explained. "Then she starts to cry. And, bless her heart, I start yelling at her, and it's so weird, because I've never yelled at a girl before. It felt really out of character for me to be saying this stuff and act the way I did for that scene. Hopefully it looks great, but it felt funny.

The 16-year-old is exercising her magical powers without reservations. Selena reveals that filming for the Disney channel movie for "Wizards Of Waverly Place" will take place in New York City, and will feature her character Alex getting bit by the "Lovebug." The actress may have a secret romance with Nick Jonas, but she secretly wishes that her on-screen novio could be none-other-than her grande celebrity crush Shia LaBeouf.

She offers the 411 on Alex's amor:

She gets her first boyfriend. His name is Daniel, and he's just this really sweet guy who, I honestly think, has a lot of potential. I think he's going to do great. No, [he doesn't know our secret] yet.

Selena even admits her real obsession with Shia:

You'd think that as much as I promote it [he'd be coming on]. I'm, like, begging, but it's not happening. I know I'm a nerd! Please, Shia, come on my show!
