You know all about those World Of Warcraft games, right? Technically they fall under the banner of MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game), which means you get to log on with all your buddies and battle in a massive online universe.
Now what if instead of elves and wizards, you entered a world filled with your favorite DC comic book characters? Batman, Superman, The Joker…even the lesser known “cult” faves like Blue Beetle and General Zod! Well this is all going to be possible thanks to Sony Online and the new “DC Online Universe” game!

This project has been getting hyped for years now. Players got a first taste at this year’s E3, and trailers have been hitting the web since way back in 2008. Well, the end date is now almost here (November 2nd) and as the pieces come together, it looks like this will have been well worth the wait!
First, the cast: Sony announced this week that Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy will be reprising their voices as the Joker and caped crusader respectively (from their classic “Batman Animated Series”). James Marsters from “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” will be doing Lex Luthor and they’ve even got “Firefly” Latina Gina Torres as Wonder Woman!

Usually we keep our comic news to “The Hulk,” “Spider-Man,” and the Hernandez Bros., but this time we’ve got a new character to focus on: Justin Bieber!
Yup, the “Biebs” is officially joining the ink and paint club, with “Fame: Justin Bieber” set to hit newsstands this October. No, he’s not going to be getting radioactive powers or heat vision. The new comic from Bluewater Productions is instead going to focus on Justin’s actual life story.

Think of it as a bio along the lines of Obama’s “Dreams From My Father,” except instead of spanning 48 years of life, it’s covering a mere 16. Considering his place in pop culture, it makes sense to experience Justin's story a 32-page comic over a full-fledged novel, right?

For more images, visit Radar Online's gallery.
Before you Marvel snobs turn the other way, remember this! Bluewater actually has some pretty talented artists on their staff (as evidenced by the unique color scheme on Justin’s cover) and a rep for cranking out colorful life stories (Lady Gaga & Robert Pattinson!).
Two new issues of Fame come out this month, featuring Twilight’s Kristen Stewart and singer Taylor Swift. Perhaps a Latina-inspired Selena Gomez comic could be next on their list?

Can you feel the Twitter buzz? Marvel turned up the viral heat this week for "Incredible Hulk” #611, a gamma-infused showdown featuring an epic battle between the big green guy and his alien son Skaar!

For anyone unfamiliar with this series, Skaar’s the one sporting the longer mane. Back in January 2008, he first appeared in “World War Hulk” #5 and is the brainchild of legendary Marvel guys Greg Pak and John Romita Jr.

Skaar’s weapon of choice? A giant sword capable of doing major damage to bright green flesh! From his inception, he’s had major Hulk daddy issues surrounding the death of his mom (an alien named Caiera) but we won’t bore you with those details.
We prefer to tantalize, with this awesome artwork that will be featured throughout the August issue!

Marvel sure seems to be having a tough time keeping one Hulk around. First it was Eric Bana as a green guy plagued with daddy issues in Ang Lee’s “HULK.” Then, they threw in Ed Norton for the 2008 reboot, “The Incredible Hulk.” Now it looks like they need ANOTHER Hulk for 2012’s much hyped “Avengers” movie! So who should the next green guy be?
Keep in mind, it doesn’t have to be a ripped, bodybuilder type, the CGI takes care of all of that. In fact, the smaller the actor the better. We want a weaker guy who’ll tear you apart the second he gets too angry. You know Team Blogamole’s all about equal opportunity, so here’s our list of Latinos we think would be a great fit for those torn jean shorts.

Carlos Mencia
Already known for his hotheaded style of comedy, Carlos loves to play up that “angry man” vibe. Now imagine if every time you set him off, he got those green-tinged eyes and started smashing up buildings! Probably a far-fetched choice, but definitely fun if you wanted to give “The Avengers” some comic relief.

Gael Garcia Bernal
How great would it be to see this sensitive leading man “Hulk out” when the world does him wrong? It’s obvious that he’s got the acting chops. “The Avengers” would be the perfect launching pad to connect him with mainstream American audiences.

Andrew Garfield has hit the lottery! Not in the literal sense, but being cast as Peter Parker in the new "Spider Man" movie kinda ranks up there.

Think Garfield can handle it? According to People, director Mark Webb is confident he can: "Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor's work understand his extraordinary talents. He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker."
The 26 year old cutie, raised in the UK but born in California, has the look but has huge shoes to fill. Garfield spun his way into the new Spider-Man franchise to replace Tobey McGuire, who decided not to return as Parker earlier this year but still hopes for the best.
McGuire said, "I am so proud of what we accomplished with the Spider-Man franchise. I am excited to see the next chapter unfold in this incredible story."
The "Spider-Man" reboot will focus on the formative years of Peter Parker, as he grapples with his new found superpowers, and of course, everyday teenage problems.
Garfield's most recent work include 2009's “The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus,” alongside the late Heath Ledger. According to MTV Movies Blog, the next installment is still untitled and is set to release in 3D on July 3, 2012.

Why do boys always get to have all the fun? In many superhero comics and movies, the guys are fighting crime, blowing up stuff, and wearing the cool suits while the women wind up being damsels in distress.
Ladies, redemption is at hand! This August, Marvel will celebrate its most popular lady crime fighters with a new series of collectible frame variants. Sketched out by some of the most respected artists in the industry (Google Stuart Immonen and Laura Martin and see what we mean), these five covers illustrate poder femenino and a WHOLE lot of sexiness!

Something tells us if you keep them in their original packaging, they'll probably fetch some cash down the line too. So who's getting the first class treatment?

UNCANNY X-MEN - Emma Frost
FOC – 7/29/10, On Sale – 8/18/10
This mind-reading X-Men babe has the ability to shape shift into diamond form (as we all remember from the Wolverine movie) and qualifies as one of the hottest mutants on the planet!

So after tons of casting changes, development issues, and tabloid drama, it looks like the long-awaited "Green Hornet" is finally headed to theaters. After watching the just-released trailer, we’ve got to wonder… Should it have stayed on the drawing board a little bit longer?
Granted, the action looks incredible and you can obviously tell they’ve backed it up with a phat budget, but something about the cast seems a bit off; Cameron Diaz as a love interest for Seth Rogan?! We're having a hard time seeing that...
Team Blogamole has a lot of love for Seth Rogan, but the idea of having him play a party boy turned hardcore superhero still needs to grow on us. Maybe if they were going for straight comedy it would make sense, but this seems like it could be heading into wannabe "Dark Knight" territory.
We're going to keep an open mind about this. We love the fact that "The Green Hornet" has some diverse leads like Jay Chou (filling Bruce Lee’s shoes) and Edward James Olmos!
We guess we’ll have to wait until January 2011 to find out if it all gels. Will Rogan's character have any "Pineapple Express" predilections? Time will reveal...

The only thing better than knowing we are in store for back-to-back epic comic-based flicks is this latest chisme: According to Latinoreview.com, Marvel is planning to introduce lesser-known characters like "Doctor Strange," "Black Panther" and "Luke Cage" through a series of 10-minute short films, building up to the release of "Thor," "Captain America: The First Avenger," and "The Avengers."
This is brilliant way for Marvel to promote their new films while introducing these characters, allowing them to test storylines for interest without blowing millions of dollars on an entire film. We accept the challenge!

There are so many questions that come along with chisme like this. Who will direct and star in the shorts? I know we're jumping the gun here but our anticiption is in full gear!
Here's what we do know: "Thor," set to release May 6, 2011, will star Chris Hemsworth as Thor, as well as Natalie Portman, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, and Renee Russo.
"Captain America: The First Avenger," set to release July 22, 2011, will star Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones.
"The Avengers," set to release May 4, 2012, will star Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man (of course), Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and Samuel L. Jackson. Rumored to join the cast is Scarlett Johanssen, Don Cheadle, and "The Hulk"'s Edward Norton.
WE. ARE. SO. EXCITED!!!

Would you like to score a bunch of free comics this weekend? You can, thanks to Free Comic Book Day! This event - the first Saturday in May each year - is a time when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books to anyone who comes into their stores.
Here's a clip of "Heroes" star Milo Ventimiglia explaining why he loves Free Comic Book Day:
In total, 33 comics are being distributed on FCBD, so bring a big bag! You don't want to miss grabbing a copy of "Iron Man/Thor," Marvel's Free Comic Book Day offering.

Want more? DC Comics is providing "War of the Supermen #0", Dark Horse has "Doctor Solar/Magnus," and IDW is giving away "G.I. Joe #155 1/2"!
Independent publishers are spreading FCBD love too — Fantagraphics Books is offering Jim Woodring's "WEATHERCRAFT and Other Unusual Stories." If you live in Seattle, the artist himself will be be present to hand out and sign his creation.
In the past weeks, freecomicbookday.com has posted 16 exclusive interviews with the writers, artists, editors, and other industry professionals behind this year’s Gold and Silver titles.
In addition to helping support comics retailers, the organizers of Free Comic Book Day use the event to promote children's literacy. Shortly after Free Comic Book Day 2009, Hugh Jackman (X-Men's Wolverine) appeared in a YouTube spot in support of the cause.
To find out which stores are participating in your area, use the FCBD Store Locator. You can also follow Free Comic Book Day on Twitter @fcbd10 for special event news, giveaways and to find other comic heads.
