Ahoy, Mateys! You’ve heard the rumors, but now we’ve got the photographic proof! Penelope Cruz WILL be playing a sexy swashbuckler in the latest sequel to the Disney ride. "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" is now well along in its Hawaii shoot and Radar Online caught the first snaps of the new Mrs. Bardim in full costume!

Isn’t it about time Johnny Depp’s character got an A-List love interest? Keira Knightly was fine in the first three movies, but we always knew Elizabeth Swann was from the upper class. Never before did we get a full-blown lady pirate to challenge Captain Jack Sparrow and the Black Pearl.

In the description we’ve heard so far, Penelope is set to play a girlfriend from Jack’s past. Notice how they’re keeping it intentionally vague? Is she a good guy, a bad guy, or somewhere in between? We already know that Ian McShane's been cast as Blackbeard, so that rules out primary villain, but we’re betting she may give sneaky Sparrow a run for his money.

Either way, she’s flashing some seriously authentic historical wardrobe in these pix. We understand this is set hundreds of years ago, but would it kill you to create a 1700’s bikini? We all know Penelope’s looking fabulous right now (as a gushing new bride) and hopefully they won’t cover her up for the ENTIRE film, right?

Guys and Gals around the world shed bitter tears this week, as two more sexy stars are officially off the market. We have the union of Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz to thank for the latest let down (just kidding), when they took the plunge earlier this month.

According to Cruz's representative Amanda Silverman, the small intimate family-only ceremony occurred at a friends house in the Bahamas. But what's this: Life & Style is reporting that the couple wanted to make it official before their bundle of joy arrives next year. Could a baby be on the way???

Bun in the oven or not, the Spanish pair now joins the ranks of a select few Oscar-winning married couples. We're bummed that we weren't able to see Cruz in her wedding gown designed by longtime friend/fashion designer John Galliano or Bardem decked out in his hottie finery.

The newlyweds (this is a first marriage for both) began dating in 2007 and have successfully kept their romance under wraps.

They first appeared together in one of Cruz's first films, “Jamon, jamon,” in 1992 and more recently in Woody Allen's 2008 romantic comedy “Vicky Christina Barcelona” (we're digging the friends first approach). Penelope won a supporting-actress Oscar for that role and her new hubby won a supporting-actor Oscar for the 2007 cult classic “No Country for Old Men.”

Ladies and gentlemen, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" hype is officially ON! The web’s already buzzing with set photos of Johnny Depp, back in his signature dreadlocks. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer had this to say about Jack Sparrow’s newest love interest, Penelope Cruz:

"She's so fiery and fun," Bruckheimer told MTV News. "I can just imagine how the screen is going to sizzle with the two of them on it."

The latest 'Pirates' sequel will focus on a battle with the legendary Blackbeard. "Deadwood" heavy Ian McShane’s playing the main bad guy this time out, but expect a major return for Geoffrey Rush’s Captain Barbossa.

And who exactly is Penelope? All we know is that she’s a woman from Jack Sparrow’s past and on a quest to find the Fountain Of Youth! Sounds like an epic to us...too bad we’ll have to wait until May 2011 to see it!

Where can you see awards for Penélope Cruz, Los Tigres Del Norte, Oprah Winfrey, and The Muppets in the same day? Visit the 18-block segment of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood, Los Angeles in 2011 — they're all receiving their own stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

In total, 30 artists were selected by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerse to be immortalized on the famous Los Angeles boulevard. The list of honorees were announced last week (June 17).

Joining them on the world's most notable sidewalk for the year 2011 are:

MOTION PICTURES: Bruce Dern, Laura Dern, Diane Ladd, Ed Harris, Kenny Ortega, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ridley Scott, Sissy Spacek, Donald Sutherland and Reese Witherspoon.

TELEVISION: Danny DeVito, Tina Fey, Simon Fuller, Neil Patrick Harris, John Langley, Ed O’Neill, and John Wells.

RECORDING: Melissa Etheridge, Los Tigres Del Norte, Rascal Flatts, Go-Go’s, Slash, Will i. Am, and Bebe & Cece Winans.

Posthumous: Buddy Holly and Louis Prima

LIVE PERFORMANCE/THEATRE: Joe Mantegna

“It was not an easy job to narrow down the extra large number of nominations this year to reach these 30 names,” said John Pavlik, chair of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Committee, “and many deserving names were left for future consideration. But the placement of stars for these famous celebrities will give fans and tourists some fun and exciting close encounters next year, such as a rare family dedication, when three stars will be placed during the same ceremony for actors Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd and their daughter Laura Dern. Next year will be another exhilarating year on Hollywood Boulevard.”

Dates have not yet been scheduled for the ceremonies, and those selected have five years before the honor expires.

Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz have been keeping things on the down low forever – that is until now! The Spanish heartthrob recently opened up about his love for his Spanish novia at the Cannes Film Festival this past Sunday.

The Oscar winner snagged the "Best Actor Award" for his work in Iñárritu's Mexican drama, "Biutiful." Yes, he may have won one of Cannes' coveted awards, but it was his emotional speech that made the night:

"Thanks to the jury for this beautiful award. This award is a recognition to my work which would not exist if it weren't for the extraordinary movie Alejandro Iñárritu has made. My love Penélope, whom I love so much, and to whom I owe so much."

Finally! We have been waiting for this moment since the couple won Academy Awards for "No Country For Old Men" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."

The rumors surrounding Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem's pending nuptials have been swirling for months, but the National Enquirer is now confirming that la pareja will marry this summer!

Pene and Javier reportedly plan on tying the knot in a small intimate wedding surrounded by their closest friends and family in Spain. Felicidades!

The couple began dating in 2007, but first met back in 1992 while filming Jamon, Jamon.

Adding fuel to the wedding rumors are new claims that Penelope may be preggers! Guanabee snagged the scoop via Facebook. The couple's friend, Magaly Solier, posted pics with both Pene and Javier with the captions, “FUTURA MAMA/PAPA?… FELICITACIONES!!!”

Of course the question mark makes the claim a bit skeptical, but we'd definitely love to see the duo turn into a trio. Pene has always said she's wanted kids:

“I want to have babies one day. When I do it I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life. I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children. I have a tendency to become a mother to everyone around me. My brother and sister are always complaining that I’m too protective.”

Sounds like a perfect mami to us!

The silver screen is going to sizzle in the fourth installment of Pirates of The Caribbean!

MTV Movies Blog confirmed on Monday that Penélope Cruz will be heating things up with the hermosa Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Cruz will be replacing Keira Knightley as the leading lady in the swashbuckling franchise. Fans of the Spanish sensation can look forward to seeing her play the daughter of villain Blackbeard (played by Deadwood's Ian McShane).

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer told MTV that there will be a little romance between Penélope and Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow:

"There's a lot of humor, [Penelope] brings a lot of humor to it. And the fact that she's so feisty."

Disney plans to release Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in May 2011.

The Nominees for the 67th Annual Golden Globes were announced this morning by Justin Timberlake and nuestra actriz Española favorita, Penelope Cruz, was nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture category for Nine.

Her competition in the category includes: Vera Farmiga (Up In The Air), Anna Kendrick (Up In The Air), Mo'Nique (Precious), and Julianne Moore (A Single Man).

We'd say her chances look pretty good! Cruz is, after all, an Oscar winner! She received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Vicky Christina Barcelona.
