If you missed Los Premios MTV 2009 last night on MTV Tr3s and you're kicking yourself for it today, we really can't say we blame you... Between all the amazing multi-city performances from artists like Shakira, Alejandro Sanz, Cobra Starship with Paulina Rubio, and Fall Out Boy, to name a few, it's really hard to pinpoint which one thrilled us the most. Even host Nelly Furtado got down and kicked off the night with her own performance. And say what you may about her co-host, Residente Calle 13, no se puede negar que el hombre es honesto!

The night was filled with all kinds of celebs, from runway supermodels like Alessandra Ambrosio, young pop heartthrobs like Pee Wee, living legends like Morrissey, to teen icons like Ashley Tisdale. We even got word of the possible spark of a romance between Wilmer Valderrama and Audrina Patridge (eso dicen our backstage spies, pero ya veremos). MTV Tr3s filled two of the Los Premios categories by awarding Aventura with Best MTV Tr3s Artist, and Da'Zoo as Best New MTV Tr3s Artist. But the biggest ganadores of the night were undoubtedly Wisin y Yandel, Panda, and the fashionably intriguing Lady Gaga, who all took home multiple "lenguas."

Wisin y Yandel won awards for "Vidéo del Año" and "Artista del Año"

Panda took home trés Premios for "Mejor Grupo o Dúo," "Mejor Artista Alternativo," and "Mejor Artista Norte"

Lady Gaga was awarded two "tongues" for "Mejor Artista Nuevo Internacional" and "Canción del Año"

Felicidades a todos, it's well deserved!

BREAKING NEWS! Nominee announcements went out today for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.  What grabbed nuestra atención when we scanned the list?  EL DÚO DINÁMICO ESTAN NOMINADOS! After a runaway year, with record-breaking album sales and #1 videos, Wisin y Yandel have been nominated for an MTV Video Music Award.

We think los boricuas can swing it, especially since they're a hit con las mujeres.  Los Revolucionarios are nominated in the Best Pop category for "Abusadora" against Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Cobra Starship and Britney Spears. Wisin y Yandel join rapper and Degrassi grad Drake, roqueros Kings of Leon and college boy Asher Roth as VMA nominee virgins. They are the third Latin artist (Tres es el número de la suerte, no?) to earn a VMA nomination for a music video with Spanish only lyrics, following the 2005 nominations for Shakira's "La Tortura" and Daddy Yankee's "Gasolina."

Un Circo de Mujeres

The ladies claimed a fair share of nominations at this year's VMAs. Beyoncé schooled her VMA colleagues by earning nine nods for "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)," and Lady Gaga earned a collective nine noms for "Poker Face" and "Paparazzi."  Not to be outdone, Britney (no se pueden tener los VMAs sin Britney), earned five noms combined for "Womanizer" and "Circus."

Viva La Vida, y Los Hombres!

Coldplay, Jay-Z, Green Day, Eminem and Kanye West will be vying for VMA titles este año también.  With problem children like Eminem and Kanye at the VMAs, the night is sure to be un éxito polémico.

GET YOUR CLICKING FINGER READY! Voting is open at VMA.MTV.COM, where you can view all of the nominated artists in categories like Best Male, Best Female, Video of the Year and Best Video (That Didn't Win A Moonman).  You can also vote via SMS; text 97979 to vote para tus nominados favoritos por teléfono.

Who doesn't want a piece of La Britney's magic tricks?

Clowns, mimes, and magicians are for kiddies, but the pop star wasn't playing it safe at the grand premiere of her "Circus" tour last night in New Orleans. Gossip gangster, Perez Hilton fired-up the spectacle with a royal intro fit for Queen Elizabeth. The four acts including the properly titled, "Freakshow/Peepshow" featured flying umbrellas, twirling acrobats, and more. Is Britney Spears threatening to put an end to her "Circus" act?

According to a 'reliable TMZ snitch,' the platinum selling pop diva plans on canceling her highly-anticipated U.S. tour if her hijitos, Sean Preston and Jayden James are not allowed to join her. Who is stopping La Britney from keeping the family together? Her ex-husband, Kevin Federline's lawyers. The padres currently share 50/50 custody, but allegedly K-Fed's legal team are worried that hitting the road with los niños would break the original contractual agreement.

Chismosos also reveal that Britney and Kevin decided to skip the lawyers and handle business on their own. Reports state that K-Fed will also have his own apartment in Britney's three main concert venues in New Jersey, New Orleans and Los Angeles. Spears' tour is slated to jump-start March 3rd in New Orleans. No word yet on whether the drama was resolved or not. Do you think Britney is the ringleader in this round? [MTV News]

UPDATE: No more clowning around...Brit's kiddies will join the "Circus" tour after all!

Britney Spears is causing a spectacle once again...

The pop princesa has sparked censorship drama for her third single, "If U Seek Amy." La Britney is featured cursing more times than our abuelitas would like (surprise, surprise), which has drawn-out a legal gray area for radio stations. Skipping-out on casual mala palabras, the "Circus" comeback star repeats enough profanity to possibly have her song cut into a clean edited version. Listen to the track right below and decide whether it is too dirty for airwaves! [MTV News]

Britney Spears is officially the ringmaster at her comeback game...

Her fifth album, "Circus" has only hit tienda shelves for a week and a half (no we aren't counting shady bootlegs!), and Britney's packaged goods have already dominated the number one spot on the Billboard charts and sold just under 505,100 copies. Besides "Womanizer" playing on repeat everywhere you turn, la Britney has beat out top selling divas, including Beyonce's latest compilation, "I Am ... Sasha Fierce," and Mimi's precise hit-maker, "E = MC2."

Love her or hate her Britney Spears is back and ready for more...

Our original wannabe Latina suspect is celebrating her 27th birthday today and releasing her comeback album "Circus." Adding to all of the hype, the ringmaster officially announced her comeback tour dates today. Britney haters don't shake your heads to the festivities right away. The Pussy Cat Dolls are also going to tease circus-goers as the opening act. The spectacle is set to begin in March, so dig for the tour dates right below the hood!

CAUTION: We may have a wannabe on the loose! Britney Spears is exercising just the right tricks for her comeback album "Circus," including possibly vocalizing her fetish for Latinos in her track "Mmm Papi."

Don't expect the new track to exude the same softness as her album cover either. Fans have gotten a taste of the born-again pop singer's magic in her latest #1 hit "Womanizer," but bold costume changes and a toned physique is only part of the spectacle. Her sixth album, which drops on December 2nd, is injected with playful melodies and naughty undertones that surpass her "Baby Hit Me One More Time" days. (AS EXPECTED!)

GRAB YOUR FIRST PEEK at Britney's freaky "Mmm Papi" lyrics:

You can come take me away
There's no pressure play all day
Grab me tight and don't let go
MmmPapaLoveYou
MmmPapaLoveYou

Mmm Papa! Mmm Papa! Mmm Papi!
Mmm Papi! Mmm Papi! Ooh Papi
Ooh Lovey Ooh Lovey Ooh Papi!
Ooooooow!

Now see I'm Mami
And that makes you Papi
And that makes us lovey
Ooowwww!

¡Ay qué profundo! We can already imagine a telenovela hunk being featured for this video. Por favor don't let it be our man William Levy! Do you think Britney's lyrics deem her a wannabe Latina?
