It's always a good idea to bring a towel when you attend Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards. This year, tons of celebrities faced the green slime bucket for a night of big laughs and big fun. The KCA's also had some big winners too, including Tr3s fave Selena Gomez.
Selena walked away with the night's Favorite Female Singer and Favorite TV Actress awards, which she seemed thrilled to receive. And lucky for her, Gomez also walked away dry, which couldn't be said for her boyfriend Justin Bieber.
"The Biebs" won Favorite Male Singer and literally got drenched with green ooze before the night was over. He seemed to take the slime time well, as did host Will Smith (who happened to be wearing some designer duds when the splattering occurred).
Other slimed celebs included Victoria Justice (whose Victorious series won for Favorite TV Show), Taylor Lautner and Halle Berry.
"No one is safe from the slime!" Smith exclaimed from the stage. "You have to earn the slime! It's an honor."
Getting a KCA orange blimp proved to be quite an honor too and stars like Tim Tebow, Katy Perry and Adam Sandler earned a few for their hard work in 2011. As far as the film awards go, Tr3s fave Puss In Boots got some love in the animation category and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked won Favorite Movie of the year.
Just Dance 3 took home Favorite Video Game and the KCA Favorite Song was none other than "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO. Beyond that, the evening made sure to honor good deeds too, naming Taylor Swift as the winner of this year's Big Help award. Much to the crowd's delight, First Lady Michelle Obama was the one who presented Taylor her "blimp."
And just like every year, the show delivered some dynamite live performances. Katy Perry charmed the audience with a rocking rendition of her "Part of Me" single. The boy band One Direction got some huge cheers too when they sang their hit, "What Makes You Beautiful."
The KCA orange carpet brought a ton of memorable moments too, particularly for the wild fashion statements. Smith's daughter Willow popped in sporting short pink hair, a leather jacket, and a yin-yang purse. Perry kept the slime theme intact, wearing an ooze design skirt and neon green bra. And Selena went for sex appeal, flossing her bare midriff in a white and bronze ensemble.
Clearly it made for a memorable night and a TV event the "Kids" couldn't get enough of. Oh yes, according to the stats, over 7.3 million households watched the KCA's and all of the colorful slime that went along with it.

It seems GLAAD just can't get enough of Naya Rivera. After tapping her to host their San Francisco Awards last May, the gay rights organization has decided to solicit her talents once again, this time as the MC of their New York gala.
Naya and her Glee co-star Cory Monteith will be hosting the 2012 GLAAD Media Awards later this month. And the black-tie event promises to deliver quite a lot of star power.
Up-and-coming actress Dakota Fanning will be in attendance, as will Sex And The City’s Kim Cattrall. Stars from NBC's Smash will also be on hand, with the show's producers taking home the coveted Vito Russo Award.
Rivera has become quite the gay icon for her Santana Lopez role on Glee. Santana is one of primetime's only lesbian characters and Naya herself has been a very vocal advocate for same-sex rights. We're sure she'll do a great job hosting the event!

Yes The Artist may have taken down Best Picture at last month's Academy Awards, but when it came to effects and breathtaking visuals, the clear winner was Hugo. Martin Scorsese's mini-masterpiece scored 11 nominations and watching the film on crisp Blu-Ray, it's easy to see why.
Though the home version of Hugo lacks the 3D elements seen in theaters, it has plenty of DVD extras to make up for it. Outside of the movie, fans can explore five different behind-the-scenes documentaries. Each have their own unique charm and they all shed light into Scorsese's creative process.
But before we delve into all that, it's important to appreciate Hugo the film. Set at a train station in 1930's Paris, it follows the life of a lonely orphan named Hugo Cabret (played by Brit newcomer Asa Butterfield). Surviving solely on his shoplifting skills, Hugo lives in the attics and clock towers of the station, always trying to stay one step ahead of evil Inspector Gustave (Sacha Baron Cohen).
Gustave hunts down local thieves and makes sure they’re punished to the fullest extent of the law. For the most part, Hugo manages to stay out of his way. But he does get caught by a mysterious toy shop owner named Georges (Ben Kingsley). Though enemies at first, Hugo and Georges form an endearing friendship and soon the young boy discovers his mentor’s amazing past.
This is where the movie really starts to get interesting. Georges is actually based on real-life French filmmaker Georges Melies and soon real facts get sprinkled in to Scorsese's whimsical tale. Martin does a brilliant job of turning audiences on to the real Melies, while maintaining Hugo’s grand fantasy elements.
The Blu-Ray takes things even further. After watching the movie, fans can access documentaries about Georges’ work and even see bits of his real short films. There is also a very revealing segment titled Shoot the Moon, in which Scorsese discusses his Hugo inspirations. And just for fun, there's a Sacha Baron Cohen piece too, which illustrates the broad range of the comedy star.
Bottom line: There are a lot of fun things to explore on the Hugo Blu-Ray, but our favorite is the movie itself. A charming period piece, it's got great performances, fantastic effects, and a story that film fans will appreciate. And Martin Scorsese followers are in for a real treat as well. Let's hope in 50 years, his contributions to the cinema get a Hugo-esque adaptation too.

There is no denying that Adam Sandler's Jack and Jill was a critical dud. Now nominated for 11 Razzie Awards, the cross-dressing comedy may earn the distinction of being the "Worst Movie" of 2011. But co-star Eugenio Derbez strongly disagrees, telling fans that he found it funny and lighthearted.
"I do not know why the critics have been so harsh, it worked very well in the Latino market," he recently said. "I saw it in a theater in the U.S. and people laughed a lot seeing Al Pacino goof around. I really enjoyed it."
Unfortunately, the American critics have panned quite a lot of Eugenio's recent work. His current sitcom ¡Rob! has been called "pedestrian" and "maddeningly bad" by a number of TV journalists.
But when all is said and done, it's the viewing audience who matters most. And so far, Derbez' projects have performed very well. ¡Rob! is a huge hit for CBS and despite the bad reviews, Jack and Jill went on to earn $142 million at the box office.

Last night on American Idol, Jennifer Lopez finally addressed the issue that was on everyone's mind. Did she or did she not suffer a "nip slip" at Sunday’s Academy Awards?
As expected, her answer was a defiant "NO!" Fellow Idol judge Steven Tyler nudged it out of her when he flashed his chest on primetime TV. Obviously a lighthearted jab, Tyler's antics got a major response from the crowd and from Jennifer.
"There was no nipple!" she loudly declared.
Of course millions of Oscar viewers may disagree. While presenting with Cameron Diaz, Lopez definitely had something circular popping out her gown's chest region. Was it a "nip"? We'll leave that answer to the HDTVs.

Good news Eugenio Derbez fans! The Mexican funnyman was just nominated for a major award. The only catch is, it's a 2012 Razzie for his critically-panned film Jack and Jill. The Adam Sandler comedy dominated this year's "Worst Movie" nominations, along with Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon and New Year’s Eve.
Jack & Jill seemed to rule the roost though, earning a record 11 nominations including Worst Actress for Sandler’s portrayal as his twin sister. Eugenio got a bit of "Worst" love too, in the Screen Ensemble category for his work as Felipe and "abuelita."
Interestingly, Adam wasn't the only guy to receive Worst Actress recognition this year. Martin Lawrence earned the dubious distinction for his work in Big Momma’s House: Like Father Like Son. The cast of Twilight didn't fare much better, with Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson all earning acting nominations.
Nicolas Cage got lovingly skewered in the leading man department. In the category of Worst Screen Couple, Cage was singled out for all three of his 2011 films, along with his female co-stars. Sarah Palin earned a "Worst" nomination too, for her appearance as herself in the documentary, The Undefeated.
And as far as the actual Worst Movies of the year, the Razzies seemed right on point with their nominations. Jack and Jill was of course included, as was New Year’s Eve, Bucky Larson: Born To Be A Star, Twilight: Breaking Dawn 1, and Transformers 3. None of those movies scored highly with the critics, with Bucky earning a dismal 0% on the Rotten Tomatoes review site.
Arthur and The Hangover Part II didn't fare much better, getting lumped into the Razzies' Worst Sequel category. We'll be able to find out which movies take home what when the Golden Raspberry Awards (as they're "officially" called) go down on April 1.

Lately it's become a tradition for the folks behind Jimmy Kimmel Live! to create funny post-Oscar moments. And this year was no exception, with their hilarious spoof, Movie: The Movie. Pieced together into a 10-minute trailer, the comedy clip featured a ton of stars (and several Tr3s faves).
Capitalizing on the cheesiest moments from recent blockbusters, Movie parodied giant Transformers, Clash of the Titans centaurs, talking babies, and more. Jessica Alba poked fun at recent rom coms with a scene featuring Ryan Phillippe and Taylor Lautner.
Antonio Banderas also scored big laughs, channeling a bit of The Da Vinci Code with his red papal outfit. In his scene, he "married" Edward Norton and Josh Brolin! Cameron Diaz had a very funny bit too, which happened to involve an inflatable leading man.
But perhaps the most talked-about moment featured George Clooney as a scientist trying to save the world. Skewering scenes from films like Armageddon and Deep Impact, his segment even had its own Steven Tyler song!
Very funny stuff indeed, perhaps even more so than the big show.

The Red Carpet at the Oscars is a great time to ooh and ahh at all the magnificent gowns and outfits that adorn the stars. It is also a great time to poke fun at the tackiness and gaudiness of those who overdo it.
Here, I bring you the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Academy Awards Red Carpet.
Angelina Jolie's strapless Versace gown of black velvet, slit to show off her leg, was the talk of Tinseltown. She stroke a pose and showed her right leg not once, but several times, inspiring a Twitter account: @angiesrightleg, which already has more than 11,000 followers.
Jessica Chastain wore an exquisite long black gown with gold embroidery, designed by Alexander McQueen. The dress went beautifully with her long strawberry blonde hair.
Red-tressed Berenice Bejo wore a lacy minty white gown by Ellie Saab. She looked great but the pale dress washed her out a bit. I'm willing to bet she would have looked a lot more stunning had she wore a jewel toned dress, perhaps an emerald green or a sapphire blue.
Busy Phillips looked gorgeous in her grey Dolce & Gabbana dress. She accented it beautifully with hot fuchsia peep-toe shoes and some dangling blue stones for earrings.
Rooney Mara also invoked that classic Hollywood style with a classic white gown, complete with plunging neckline and dragging tail. Her makeup was simple, with a bright red lip.
While Anna Faris looked elegant at first glance in her black sequined outfit by Diane von Furstenberg, I thought it looked kind of sloppy and overwhelming. The bottom could have been shorter and more structured. She looked like she was getting lost in it. Too much outfit for such a petite gal.
Missi Pyle is a cute girl, but that powder blue dress makes her look like she was going to prom. It might have been a Valentino, but the cut just looks to grandma-ish on her. I would have gone for a more youthful and fun dress.
Milla Jovovich, looking stunning as always, also wore Ellie Saab. Milla sported an off-the-shoulder dress with delicate white embroidery that hung all the way to the ground. She looked very classy and Old Hollywood chic with her side swept bob and daring red lipstick.
Emma Stone is a gorgeous girl. She can pull off just about any look. I'm just not sure about this bright pink dress with a bow wrapped around her neck. This would be great on one of the Golden Girls, but I think this is a bit old for Emma.
Glen Close is a stunning woman. The dress she wore, by Zac Posen, however, was not so stunning. It looked too harsh on her. Even the color, while it would have complement her skin beautifully as any other outfit, was a bit too drab for the Oscars. Maybe if the lost the jacket, the dress would have looked a lot better on its own.
What can I say about Michelle Williams? She is cute, and the peach dress she wore does complement her, but it also makes her look like a flapper. She should have gone for something more sophisticated and glamorous. I also can't get over her little pink clutch. It makes her look like she's playing dress-up.
Rose Byrne looked fabulous in her black sequined Vivienne Westwood gown. Vavavoom! She had the perfect hanging earrings and her hair was flawless.
Ellie Kemper was another cutie petutie that looked gorgeous and elegant in her sequined gold and copper Armani gown. What a far cry from what she wears on The Office!
Natalie Portman always looks elegant and chic, and last night was no exception. She wore a vintage strapless Christian Dior dress. Long and red with tiny black polka dots.
Judy Greer looked like she was going to join the cast of Star Trek with the dress she picked. It was long and black, but had two silver stripes running vertically on either side. Not the most flattering choice for the Oscars.
Penelope Cruz always looks stunning, and last night she looked like a Disney princess. Her powder blue dress was long and flowing, and off-the-shoulder. Give her a tiara and he could be Cinderella.
Now, Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to daring cuts and plunging necklines, but there was a lot of controversy over whether she had a wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet. When she leaned over to chat, spectators swore they saw a nip slip. Of course, tweets spread like wildfire.
"Did we all see what we thought we saw?"
"I'm worried about a gust of wind hitting the top part of JLo's dress causing a wardrobe malfunction."
JLo's stylist, Mariel Haenn, responded to the allegations of an ill-fitting dress.
"The dress fit perfectly to every inch. While the dress did give the illusion of sheer-ness, joke's on everyone who wishes they saw something!"
So there you have it, peepers. Haenn insists the dress included built-in cups to specifically prevent any slips. Better luck next time!
What was your favorite dress?

The big word we were hoping to hear at last night’s Oscars was "upset." As in A Better Life’s Demián Bichir nabbing Best Actor from Jean Dujardin, or Argentina's Berenice Bejo taking down Best Supporting Actress. But alas that wasn't meant to be, with predictable faves like Hugo dominating the night.
The Artist proved to be the big Academy winner, receiving five awards including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Score. Hugo dominated the technical achievement categories, earning Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing and Best Sound Editing.
French actor Dujardin proudly accepted the leading man statue, besting Bichir and the "people's choice," George Clooney. Truly humbled by the honor, Jean amused the crowd with his heartfelt acceptance speech.
"I love your country!" he loudly declared, followed by a few words in his native tongue.
Perhaps the most emotional podium moment came from Best Supporting Actress winner Octavia Spencer. Her performance in The Help earned her a standing ovation when she took the stage, followed by a stream of tears.
Veteran star Christopher Plummer earned Best Supporting Actor for his role in Beginners. Plummer actually made a bit of history Sunday night, becoming the oldest Oscar recipient at age 82.
Meryl Streep nabbed Best Actress for her performance as British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady. Genuinely shocked by her win, the legendary actress earned her third acting Oscar after a career total of 17 nominations.
"When they called my name, I had this feeling I could hear half of America going, 'Oh no... her again,'" she joking said.
Other winners of the night included Woody Allen for Best Original Screenplay, "Man or Muppet" for Best Original Song, and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo for Best Film Editing. One victory that we were definitely excited about was Rango. The wildly entertaining lizard flick earned the evening's Best Animated Feature award.
Besides that, the night was a pretty tame affair. Host Billy Crystal threw out a few entertaining jokes, but kept things very "safe." Cirque du Soleil created a somewhat interesting performance about the art of the cinema, but nothing to write home about. And many of the presenters' jokes felt contrived and unoriginal.
Interestingly, the night's two most talked-about moments happened before the ceremony even began. Jennifer Lopez may or may not have suffered a "nip slip" depending on who you ask. But there was no doubt that she wore a very REVEALING dress for her pre-Oscars interviews.
The rest of the buzz was focused on the antics of Sasha Baron Cohen. Apparently "un-banned" by the Academy, he showed up dressed like his Dictator movie character. And he sent the internet on fire after dumping fake ashes on Ryan Seacrest's tux. A priceless moment to say the least!

In just two days, we'll find out whether or not Demián Bichir makes history at the Academy Awards. Believe it or not, he's the first Mexican native to be nominated in the Best Actor category since Anthony Quinn in 1957. And that's not a distinction that Bichir takes lightly.
"Everyone knows [Quinn], everyone loves him and he has always been a pride for Mexico," he told the Associated Press. "All I can say is that I wish I had that career, that at the end of my life I would have had at least a little bit of it ... and I hope it won't take another 48 years to have a Mexican nominated."
Judging by Demián's work, we doubt that will be the case. His next project, Savages, will be a heavy drama directed by Oliver Stone and it's possible that he could score a nod from that performance too.
But right now Bichir's attention is still focused on A Better Life, the movie that brought him national attention. He's hopeful that the increased Oscar buzz will expose Life to a new audience and make up for its disappointing box office take.
"We lost the first round at the box office. This film did not become a huge hit," he lamented. "They need to make these types of films important and a success to talk about some real commitment."
It's definitely not too late. A Better Life is currently available on Special Edition DVD.
