Almost two years after the 2009 Tony Awards where Bret Michaels was almost killed when a piece of scenery fell down on him after his performance, the lawsuit against CBS moved from Los Angeles to New York. Even though Michaels petitioned the judge to have the hearing in Los Angeles, she refused, moving the case to be heard in NYC.
Bret's lawyers claim that he is still having post trauma effects from the accident, including bleeding, which required hospitalization last year. The New York Times reported that Judge Dolly M . Gee of the Los Angeles District Court issued a ruling last week that the case should be heard in New York, where the accident occurred.
Alex Weingarten, Michaels' lawyer, stated that they tried to resolve the issue with CBS and the organizers of the Tony Awards without filing a lawsuit but they were unsuccessful. According to Weingarten's statement,
"They must be held accountable for almost killing Bret, and that is what we are going to do."
What do you think about this case?

Are you ready for the Latino Choice Awards? If all goes well this August, that may be exactly what the fans will be calling it. This week the latest nominees were announced and there's no denying the strong Hispanic presence. Stars like Selena Gomez, Pitbull, and Enrique Iglesias were all shown quite a bit of Teen Choice love.
By the looks of things, Selena may be the top contender for the almighty surfboard trophy. She earned a total of four nominations in categories like Choice TV Actress: Comedy (for The Wizards of Waverly Place), Choice Music: Group, Choice Music: Single (for "Who Says"), and Choice Female Hottie.
On the movie side, tons of Tr3s faves made the cut, including Pirates of the Caribbean’s Penelope Cruz for Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Unstoppable’s Rosario Dawson for Choice Movie Actress: Action. Cameron Diaz nabbed a comedy nom for her role in Bad Teacher (which we think she's a shoo-in for).
Latino TV stars will also have a huge presence at the event. Demi Lovato got recognized for her role in Sonny with a Chance and Sofia Vergara scored yet another nomination for playing Gloria Pritchett on Modern Family (this time for Choice TV: Female Scene Stealer). Interestingly, Idol’s Jennifer Lopez and The Voice's Xtina will be going head-to-head for the Choice TV: Personality award.
Beyond that, Enrique Iglesias and Bruno Mars got noms for Choice Music: Male Artist and Pitbull received some love from the Choice Music: R&B/Hip-Hop Artist category. Even Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols scored a nomination as Choice Athlete: Male.
So, as you can see, Latinos will be carrying a lot of weight at the upcoming competition. You can see who wins what when the 2011 Teen Choice Awards air live, August 7 on Fox.
Who are you rooting for at this year's Teen Choice Awards? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.

2011 has been quite a roller coaster year for Chris Brown. Just three short months ago, he went through a very public meltdown on NBC's Today Show. But yesterday, the R&B star seemed happy, healthy, and full of positive energy as he took home four BET Awards in front of a roaring crowd.
"All my fans are everything to me," Brown said during an acceptance speech. "I know it's been a long road. I just appreciate every blessing that's been put in front of me."
Chris' new F.A.M.E. record seemed to get quite a bit of love at last night's big event. It helped score him the Best Male R & B Artist award as well as Best Video honors for its single "Look At Me Now."
Interestingly, "Look At Me Now" probably caused the most talked-about moment of the night. When presenting the award for Best Collaboration, a female fan mistakenly named Rihanna and Drake as the winners. In reality, Brown's song was name in the envelope and it created a very awkward moment when Drake took the stage to accept the statue.
Other big winners last included Nicki Minaj, who won for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, and Kanye West who took home Best Male Hip-Hop Artist. In a much tighter race, Wiz Khalifa won Best New Artist, beating out Tr3s fave Bruno Mars.
Siblings Willow and Jaden Smith tied for the Young Artist award (which we're sure made parents Will and Jada rather happy). And even disgraced NFL star Michael Vick got some redemption, winning the Best Sportsman award.
As far as the live performances went, Brown did a very entertaining medley of his hits, which included bits of "She Ain't You." That obviously was significant because of its sampling of Michael Jackson’s "Human Nature" and this past weekend's two-year anniversary of MJ's passing.
Beyonce performed "The Best Thing I Never Had" via satellite from England and took part in a very spirited Patti Labelle tribute. Labelle received the evening's Lifetime Achievement award and got serenaded by Cee-Lo (who came out wearing a hilarious wig).
Patti went on to thank her famous fans by saying,
"I would like to thank everybody for everything you've done for me. I plan to hold myself higher because I have gotten this wonderful award."

Hello gorgeous Tr3s familia!
It feels so good to share new experiences with all of you once again. Tr3s recently sent me out to cover the MTV Movie Awards held in Los Angeles and it was amazing.
Most of you probably have no clue how much work goes into a 30 minute segment well...let me break it down.
It begins with lots of brainstorm sessions with the big bosses. The sessions then turn into a set show with a script full of pages that I need to memorize. I love the researching and prep part of red carpet events because you become fully informed of all the current celebrity chisme. Ha!
My favorite part of the project is picking a sweet outfit to wear on the carpet! I love going to different wardrobe showrooms and choosing the right dress for the event. Showrooms are filled with tons of shoes, accessories and dresses...picture Barbie’s closet BUT for real girls. I've spent hours in showrooms trying on random stuff just for kicks! A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to find that right dress. Last thing I need is to look like a hotmess on camera. It would be a complete scandal. Ha!
Shoot days are long but extra fun! Part one is the transformation hair and make-up super early in the morning. Once that's complete it's off to the carpet!
Once I step on the carpet I become one with it...not really. What I really do is become a fan of my surroundings and really live in that moment. I make sure to get the Tr3s viewers the cool interviews with their favorite celebrities and when that happens I feel accomplished!
Well, there's the quick low down of how things go down when shooting for our extraordinary viewers! I really hope everyone enjoys the Movie Awards coverage. I had a great time and can't wait for the next!!!!!! VMA's maybe?!?!
Love you all! Besos!

It's hard to think of a show that can honor Justin Bieber, The Onion, and LEGO in one night, but that's exactly what the 2011 Webby Awards did. Streamed live via Facebook, the Webbys added a nice mix of laughter, technology, and geekinees to the world of black tie affairs.
Hosted by former Friends star Lisa Kudrow, the "internet Oscars," as they're often called, actually brought out some big name stars. John Mayer, Marlon Wayans, and Brooke Shields (fresh off her Tonys appearance) were all in attendance at the New York event.
One of the highlights of the evening was undoubtedly the Funny Or Die acceptance speech. After taking home Webby Film & Person of the Year, founder Will Ferrell appeared via satellite and spewed off some hilarious rants about the internet.
Justin Bieber, who unfortunately no-showed, took home Best Comedy Video for his Funny Or Die clip and Conan O'Brien's Team Coco site got recognized as Best Celebrity Fan Page.
But don't think that the Webbys are all about famous faces. Sites like LEGO.com won for Best Welcome Page, The Onion was a People's Voice winner for Best Copywriting, and Yelp.com took home Best Review Site. Even high-class brands like Vogue got recognized for their online work.
"Sometimes geek can be chic," Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour said after accepting the award for Best Fashion website.
The Webbys also featured some unique music performances. Crooner Norah Jones delivered an impassioned live version of her song, "Ain’t No Grave Can Hold My Body Down" and viral sensation Antoine Dobson got the crowd roaring with his YouTube hit "Bed Intruder."
But with dozens of categories and winners, there is no way to list all of the online honorees in just one blog. If you're interested in seeing which sites were worthy of the Webby, we highly recommend checking out the official online winner's page.

Anyone tuning in to last night's Tony Awards knew they were in for a high-energy show. Honoring Broadway's hottest musicals, the event always brings out intricate dance numbers, over-the-top glitz, and unpredictable comedy from the theatre world's greatest entertainers. And this year's event delivered the goods exactly as promised.
Neil Patrick Harris earned major praise for his high-powered hosting skills. The How I Met Your Mother star kicked off the night with a wild dance number that declared the event as "not just for gays anymore." He also partook in a very memorable singalong with former Tonys MC Hugh Jackman.
Comedian Chris Rock also got quite a bit of laughs when he presented the award for Best Musical. Joking about missing the NBA Finals game, he said to the crowd,
"If you had told me two years ago I'd miss the best basketball game ever to hang out with Nathan Lane, I would have said that you're crazy. But that's what happened. I remember my first musical like it was yesterday, because it was yesterday."
The Best Musical Award happened to be handed out to a Latino. Composer Robert Lopez won the night’s top honors (along with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone) for the comedy The Book Of Mormon. A huge winner last night, Mormon also took home honors for orchestration, lighting design, sound design, and scenic design.
Lopez is no stranger to the Tonys, he had previously won an award for his work on the musical Avenue Q. And proving he’s not just limited to the theatre world, Robert’s songs will soon be hitting the big screen in Disney’s newest adaptation of Winnie the Pooh.
Other big winners of the night included Ellen Barkin, who took home Best Actress for The Normal Heart, and John Larroquette, who won Best Actor for How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. But interestingly, it was the presenters who grabbed the most attention.
Brooke Shields created quite a bit of chisme when she dropped the "f-bomb" on stage and Tr3s fave John Leguizamo had the crowd roaring with some rapid-fire jokes from the podium. Add to that strong dance numbers from the plays Catch Me If You Can and How To Succeed… and you've got yourself one heck of an entertaining night. Let's see the stuffy Academy Awards try to top that!

With wipe outs on the stage, Thelma & Louise tributes, and victory speeches from Justin Bieber, last night's CMT Awards were anything but predictable. But that, of course, is what makes this live country music event so entertaining.
One of the biggest stories of the night was the tumble that Shania Twain took while walking to the stage. After MC Kid Rock introduced the legendary country-pop diva, she took a nasty spill in front of the entire crowd. Thankfully, it looks like the injuries weren't serious and she even joked about the matter later on her website.
"I'm here to tell you that I now realize I don't need a stunt double ... to wipe out on my way to the CMT Awards stage," Twain wrote. "I didn't hurt myself ... I have a bit of a sore stomach. That's about it."
And interestingly, that wasn’t the only big Shania moment. She also appeared in a hilarious Thelma & Louise spoof with golden girl, Taylor Swift. Taylor received the CMT's highest prize of the night, the coveted Video of the Year award for her smash hit "Mine."
Swift was obviously touched by the gesture, tweeting later,
"Ahhhh!!!! I'm jumping up and down in the dressing room, so stoked about the Video of the Year award!!! Thank you! Thank you! You guys...!"
Blake Shelton also got quite a bit of love from the CMTs despite the fact that he was touring and missed the event. Xtina's Voice co-host won both Male Video of the Year and Best Web Video of the Year. And even more interestingly, Blake's new wife Miranda Lambert won Female Video of the Year.
One country duo that did show up to present were Idol darlings Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. Though they're still continuing to deny reports that they're dating, the two had great chemistry together on stage.
And proving that he's still a musical force to be reckoned with, Justin Bieber defied the odds and won a CMT Award himself, for Collaborative Video of the Year. The Biebs accepted the trophy with Rascal Flatts but curiously walked the red carpet without galpal Selena Gomez. For this outing, he decided to bring his mom as a "date."

You know if you're handing out a Brass Balls statue, you're in a league all your own. Though it won't air until Friday, Spike TV’s Guy's Choice Awards took place on Saturday night and, judging from the pictures that hit the web, it was an over-the-top, raucous affair.
Jennifer Aniston attracted quite a bit of hooting and hollering for the little black dress she flossed on the stage. Accepting the Decade of Hotness Award, the 42-year-old actress seemed humbled and humorous about her lengthy career in the public eye.
"A decade?” Jennifer joked. “That would put it at [2001], which is good because I had some sketchy looks in the '90s."
Don't be surprised if you spot Axel Alonso in the crowd as well during the broadcast. His Marvel characters dominated the Guy’s Choice stage. Chris Evans from the upcoming Captain America movie presented an award, as did Jeremy Renner, who's set to play Hawkeye in the highly-anticipated Avengers film.
Jim Carrey, who delivered big laughs at this weekend's MTV Movie Awards, took home the Funniest M.F. “Mantlers” and, staying true to his reputation, had a violinist accompany him during his acceptance speech. And anyone who's seen Fast Five knows Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was well-deserving of his Best Ass Kicker Award.
As far as Guy's Choice legends go, Sean Penn and Keith Richards got nods for their machismo careers. Penn was honored for his work in the classic 1980's film, Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Rolling Stones guitarist Richards seemed very touched when he received the coveted Brass Balls Award.
"I mean, I've had a few awards in my time," Richards said backstage. "With the balls it's like where to put them? It's easy to pick them up but where are you going to put them? I've got to figure that out with the wife."
But what guy-centric night would be complete without some sexy ladies gracing the stage? Mila Kunis dazzled in her short print skirt when accepting the Holy Grail of Hot Award and Tr3s fave Sofia Vergara got a well-deserved nod in the Hot And Funny category for her work on Modern Family.
Of course if you want to see it all go down yourself, we recommend firing up the man cave, cracking open a beer, and tuning into Spike TV this Friday night!

Robert Pattinson fans got a big treat at last night's MTV Movie Awards. The 25-year-old Twilight star dominated the stage at L.A.'s Gibson Amphitheatre, taking home Best Male Performance, Best Fight Scene, and Best Kiss. Not only that, his Twilight: Eclipse film took home Best Movie of the year.
But, in between R. Patz moments, there was plenty of glam, glitz, and unpredictable comedy. Host Jason Sudeikis made sure to include some Arnold Schwarzenegger jokes in his monologue and even singled out Selena Gomez for a raunchy one-liner! But his shining moment was undoubtedly the opening Hangover Part II parody, which featured a hilarious cameo by Eva Mendes.
Other LOL tidbits came courtesy of Jim Carrey, who wore an image-flashing suit while presenting The Foo Fighters. Comic Aziz Ansari also got some laughs with his Jaden Smith impersonation, but perhaps the most off-the-wall moment occurred when R. Patz kissed costar Taylor Lautner on stage!
One of the trademarks of every MTV Movie Awards show are the sneak peeks of upcoming summer films. And this year's batch are sure to generate a ton of buzz. Throughout the evening, exclusive new scenes were shown of Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Super 8, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
As far as the big winners go (other than Robert Pattinson of course), there were quite a few that got the crowd buzzing. Justin Bieber took home Best Jaw Dropping Moment for his concert film Never Say Never and interestingly did not thank his new gal pal in his acceptance speech. And up-and-coming Latina Alexys Nycole Sanchez got a huge response when she won Best Line From A Movie (for her "I want to get chocolate wasted" moment from Grown Ups).
As expected, fashion was a huge part of the evening. Twilight’s Kristen Stewart got the most attention for her safety-pin studded ensemble and sleek black pumps. Harry Potter’s Emma Watson went for the more sophisticated look, sporting a Marchesa-designed white mini skirt. Prom’s Aimee Teegarden stood out with her colorful flowing dress and former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes took a little heat for flossing way too much spray-tan.
At two hours, the show definitely packed a lot in and never felt rushed or boring (are you listening Oscars?). Add to that a killer live performance from Lupe Fiasco and Trey Songz, and it's clear that this year's MTV Movie Awards definitely delivered the goods.

2010 gave us some incredible movies. And though the Academy Awards may have covered the Best Actress and Best Picture territory, it’s up to the MTV Movie Awards to make sure categories like Best Jaw-Dropping Moment, Best Kiss, and Best Scared-As-Sh-t Performance get recognized. And looking at this year’s nods, it's clear we’ve got some great contenders.
Announced this week, the 2011 MTV Movie Award nominees include some of the hottest faces in the film biz. Established names like Natalie Portman, Robert Downey Jr., and Ryan Reynolds were all recognized, but so were a bunch of great up-and-comers like Jaden Smith, Emma Stone, and Kick-Ass’ Chloe Grace Moretz.
And even though we would like to have seen a few more Latinos in the mix, Alexy Nycole Sanchez’ nomination almost makes up for it. Her “I want to get chocolate wasted!” quote was probably the funniest moment from Grown Ups and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that she takes home Best Line From a Movie.
Sorry King’s Speech lovers, in MTV’s eyes, the Best Movie of the Year is between Black Swan, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Inception, The Social Network, and Twilight: Eclipse. All of which got the big thumbs up from Blogamole.
The famous Best Kiss category included memorable smooches from Inception, Deathly Hallows, Eclipse, and Black Swan. Of course, anyone who remembers seeing Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis lock lips knows that Swan is a shoe-in for that golden popcorn bag.
Best Villain included some memorable bad guys from Harry Potter, The Green Hornet, Iron Man 2, and The Roommate. Perhaps the most interesting nominee in this category is Lots-O, the psychotic teddy bear from Toy Story 3 (and the one Blogamole is rooting for).
The other big category to keep an eye on is Best Jaw-Dropping Moment (because this year there are some fierce competitors). James Franco has a strong chance with his infamous “arm” scene from 127 Hours. Then there’s the mind-blowing Paris crumble from Inception. Add in that cringe-worthy Black Swan mutilation scene and Steve-O’s port-a-potty stunt from Jackass 3D and you’ve got the most talked-about competitors of the night. Especially when you consider that Justin Bieber got a Jaw-Dropping nod for his performance in Never Say Never.
Truth be told, there are way too many awesome nominees to be included here. And we haven’t even begun to scratch the surface of who we think will surprise the crowd. With Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis hosting, you can bet plenty of famous funny faces will be lending a hand.
Who will be walking home with the coveted golden popcorn statues? That’s the coolest part of all. MTV is putting the decisions in the viewers' hands, with special voting pages set up on their Movie Awards site. Then on June 5, it all goes down live from L.A.’s Gibson Amphitheatre. And you can bet Blogamole will be covering every unpredictable moment!
