Charlie Sheen has more to look forward to these days than his upcoming Comedy Central Roast. The famously fired former Two and a Half Men star will return to the small screen in a television adaption of the 2003 film Anger Management.
Sheen will play an ex-athlete turned doctor known for his odd therapeutic techniques; the role originated by Jack Nicholson in the flick.
Charlie said in a statement:
"I chose Anger Management because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept. It also provides me with real ownership in the series, a certain amount of creative control and the chance to be back in business with one of my favorite movie producers of all time, Joe Roth."
Sheen will reportedly retain "a significant ownership stake" in the show, which may deliver a paycheck similar to his $2 million dollar take home on Men. If the series gets picked up, that is. ABC, NBC, and FOX have declined to comment, and a CBS run seems highly unlikely.
Anger Management producer Joe Roth doesn't seem too concerned with the future success of the new sitcom. Roth said of Sheen:
"Who better than Charlie Sheen to tackle 'Anger Management. With Charlie's incredible talent and comedic gifts, he remains the leading man of TV sitcoms. I'm excited to collaborate with him once again."
Hopefully those talents are enough to make TV execs look the other way when it comes to Sheen's erratic behavior. And, there's always cable!

Will Kanye West debut a new line at New York's Mercedes Benz Fall fashion week? Our sources say....maybe?! The Chicago emcee, who isn't afraid to rock a Celine woman's blouse at Coachella or a bright fire-engine red suit to the VMAs, is reportedly planning on showing a 2012 womanswear spring collection to a flock of NY fashionistas and industry insiders this September.
According to the U.K.'s Grazia, Mr. West has employed the help of a few fashion forward Brits including knit-wear designer Louise Goldin and legendary Central St. Martins professor Louise Wilson. Goldin will oversee design, while Wilson will provide tutorial for Ye.
No word on what Kanye will call his new womanswear line, or whether it will be an extension of his on-again-off-again sportswear line Pastelle.
West's previous forays into the fashion world include his limited-edition My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy scarves, as well as signature footwear for both Louis Vuitton and Nike.
Would you wear Kanye's collection? Let us know in the comments, or @MTV3.

Rumors have been circulating for weeks that key cast members in the popular Glee franchise would leave the show at the end of the upcoming third season. Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and Chris Colfer are among confirmed characters scheduled to graduate from the beloved Fox musical hit.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement:
"You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.”
According to Glee execs, planning for life after high school will be a major theme in the upcoming season.
Murphy added:
"I'm much more interested in Lea’s character --not so much on her relationship with Finn, but more on what her dreams are beyond high school and how she plans on getting them. That's what my senior year was about."
Reportedly, Michele and Colfer both agreed with creators decisions to leave the show; not that they had any choice. Murphy explained:
"We made that decision and I involved Chris and Lea and they thought that was a good idea. They both trust the writing and trust me and felt that it would be great to have an open and closed experience for them to go out while they were on top."
So, what will these Glee graduates do after McKinley High? A stint on a new tv series seems unlikely, but we wouldn't rule out a Glee spinoff! In addition to a bevy of movie offers for the three, we suspect Michele may return to her roots on the great white way, or record her highly anticipated solo album.
Michele told Us Weekly:
"I think it’s definitely in my future, but that's a really big commitment. Rachel's my baby, and making an album would be like taking care of another baby."
Labels have been lusting after Rachel Berry's chops since the series began, and while Lea has turned down offers in the past, a post Glee LP may be perfect timing.
What do you think the future holds for Michele, Colfer and Monteith? Sound off in the comments, or @MTV3.

To hear Jessica Alba tell it, she's not sexy. In fact, the soon-to-be mother of two who held the top spot on Maxim's "Hot 100" list in 2001 and received the distinguished honor of being voted FHM's "Sexiest Woman in the World" in 2007, says she wasn't truly aware of her sexuality until the 2008 birth of her daughter Honor.
Mrs. Warren told the August issue of Allure magazine:
"I was quite shy with [my sexuality.] It wasn't something I embraced until I had my daughter. I saw how incredible and amazing it is to be a woman and to be able to create a life.
There's a reason why certain areas of the body are desirable—because it all leads to reproduction. There's a science behind it all."
But if you think Alba's newfound mami sexual prowess will translate on the big screen, think again. La actriz, who once threatened to sue Playboy after the mag used her image on the cover when the then 24-year-old contributed to an interior article but did not pose nude, says that she will not bare all anytime soon, if ever.
On her somewhat semi-nude career thus far, Jessica shared:
"At least I'm still covered. I'm wearing as much as a bathing suit. It's not like I'm naked. I'm not terribly comfortable with being in a bikini, but covering up my genitals is different than not covering up my genitals, at the end of the day. I do see a difference in that, to put it really frankly."
We'd agree with that! Up next for Alba is the August release of the family flick Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, and of course, the upcoming birth of her second child with husband Cash Warren.
Leave your well wishes for the happy mami in the comments, or @MTV3.

Two of the biggest names in hip hop can't converge on a joint LP without throngs of fans hitting the refresh button eagerly awaiting news, a leak, or the release date for the most anticipated album of the year.
Monday, Jay-Z and Kanye West fans weren't exactly treated to a release date for the duo's latest effort Watch The Throne, but the album did become available for pre-sale on Def Jam's website, with the ship date on receipts pointing to August 2nd.
The once rumored release date for Watch the Throne was initially July 4th, so those who were expecting fresh rhymes and beats along with their holiday BBQs and fireworks must have been considerably upset. However, Hov and Ye did attempt to pacify fans with the release of the cover art for the regal LP; a dramatic gold metallic design from Riccardo Tisci, who also provided the cover art for the rappers' single "H.A.M." Yippity?!!
Those who plan on participating in the pre-sale, can grab the deluxe CD for $16.99, while the standard CD goes for $13.99. The album is also available in MP3 versions; with the deluxe copy going for $14.99 and the standard digital album priced at $11.99.
Will you buy it? Let us know in the comments, or @MTV3.

Say it ain't so! NY Yankees star Alex Rodriguez has been added to the group of Hollywood A-listers accused of participating in an illegal California gambling ring. Star Magazine broke the story last month when Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon were all named in the impending investigation.
As previously reported, the Hollywood hot shots would meet at a number of luxury Beverly Hills hotels or private homes where the buy-in for the exclusive, by-invitation-only games, was $100,000.
According to a Star source:
"Initially, A-Rod came to the game and simply watched. But once he knew what it was all about, he brought into the game. He played two or three times, I would estimate."
A-Rod's involvement comes under particular scrutiny since the Yankee slugger was cautioned against participating in unlicensed gambling rings back in 2005. Rodriguez was caught attending games at an underground Manhattan club. While Alex wasn't punished, MLB commissioner Bud Selig was reportedly "keeping an eye" on the star Yankee.
If A-Rod is convicted, Cam Diaz's boy toy will be forced to pay back any and all winnings received from said games since California law forbids unlicensed gambling, making all winnings from those games "ill-gotten."
A slap on the wrist for the multi-millionaire, right? However, the Yankee may be subject to other penalties from MLB. Only time will tell...

Does Eva Mendes have a new beau? According to the NY Post, the bella cubana is reportedly dating SNL funnyman and 2011 MTV Movie Awards host Jason Sudeikis. The new couple were spotted at a New York restaurant Friday night, along with Jason's Horrible Bosses co-star Jason Bateman.
A source told the NY paper:
"Eva and Jason went out for a smoke break, and he told her, 'We make a great team.' "
La pareja was first caught holding hands at the 24 Hour Plays benefit in Santa Monica last week and then seen engaging in a bit of car canoodling after they left the event together.
So are Eva and Jason meant to last? Probably not. While the two may enjoy a long relationship, Mendes has said in numerous interviews that she doesn't believe in the institution of marriage.
"It's not personal. There are all these wedding shows and it's so over-the-top, it's so not about what it should be about.
I'm not like anti-marriage or the institution for other people. I love the idea of a union, that's very beautiful. I just don’t think it should be a piece of paper because society tells me to.
It's a very old fashioned archaic kind of thing. We did it for land originally, how unromantic is that?”
Well, that's good news for January Jones! Sudeikis is rumored to be the father of her unborn child. Maybe there's hope for them yet!

Not only is Alicia Keys giving a surprise performance at New York City's Joe's Pub Tuesday (June 28) to celebrate the re-release of her multi-platinum five-time Grammy award winning debut album Songs In A Minor, but the talented mami is also adding a new title to her ever-growing repertoire, Broadway Producer.
Keys joins the likes of Jay-Z and Bono who have also taken their talents to the great white way; Hov co-producing 2009's "Fela!" and Bono producing the score for the often plagued production of 2011's "Spiderman."
Alicia will co-produce "Stick Fly," Lydia R. Diamond's account of an affluent African-American family's weekend at their Martha's Vineyard home. The premise of the play reads,
"The adult sons, aspiring novelist Kent and golden boy plastic surgeon Flip, have each brought their respective ladies (one black and one white) to meet the parents. Food, drink and Trivial Pursuit tangle with class, race and identity politics in this contemporary comedy of manners."
On why she chose to get involved with Broadway production, Keys admitted that she is passionate about "Stick Fly" because it "portrays black America in a way that we don't often get to see in entertainment".
The 30-year-old singer/ songwriter continued in a statement:
"This is a story that everybody can relate to. I know it will touch all audiences who will find a piece of themselves somewhere inside this house."
"Stick Fly," which has already played and received critical acclaim in Chicago, Boston and D.C., will open on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre in December, with previews beginning on November 18.
Will you attend? Sound off in the comments, or @MTV3.
