We have to admit, we were a little bummed when we heard the news about the 2012 fall television schedule. Yes there are a ton of new shows to look forward to, but a lot of current hits are saying goodbye, including several Tr3s faves.

One of the cancellations we were most shocked to hear about was ¡Rob! A hit right out of the gate, the Latino-centric sitcom continued to score respectable ratings throughout the season. But apparently CBS wasn't feeling very generous and gave the axe to Eugenio Derbez and Cheech Marin.

Another Hispanic heavy show that got wiped out was CSI: Miami. This one was also a big surprise, especially considering that it's been a Sunday night mainstay for 10 seasons. Set on the beaches of South Florida, the crime drama had plenty of Cuban-American guest stars throughout the years and featured Adam Rodriguez and Eva LaRue as primary cast members.

Tr3s fave Nestor Carbonell is now out of primetime too, with word that his CW series Ringer is now no more. The Sarah Michelle Gellar drama did have a difficult time in the ratings department, but always maintained a solid fan base.

Over on Fox, two shows we were really rooting for got canned. Jorge Garcia’s mysterious Alcatraz series is off the schedule after just one season. And apparently the network executives were not voting for Pedro when it came to renewal time as Napoleon Dynamite: The Series has come to an end too.

ABC felt the Good Christian Belles weren’t "good" enough to deserve a second season (which is real shame considering how great Marisol Nichols' character was). And it appears that Wilmer Valderrama got booted from primetime too, with his drama Awake getting put to sleep after just a handful of episodes.

Of course, we have no doubt that all of these talented Hispanic stars will land on their feet. It's just a shame that the shows they were on never got the chance to end things properly. In the case of Alcatraz, we were actually left with a major cliffhanger!

Nevertheless, we're hopeful that the next season will bring us a batch of new talent and new Latinos! And we're still keeping our fingers crossed about one particular show which should take primetime by storm.

Snow White's character in Snow White & The Huntsman is no helpless fair lady. Snow, played by Kristen Stewart, is one badass warrior in the film, making her weapons trainer, Ben Cooke, one talented advisor to her and the other characters in the action-packed film.

When it comes to choreographing a fight, Cooke relies on both his knowledge of weapons as well as imagination in constructing the scene. Cooke said, in regards to fight choreography,

"I rely on both. Experience and imagination go hand in hand. I want to create something new and fresh."

Snow White & The Huntsman is an adaptation of the classic story. When asked whether Cooke went by a particular version of the story or mixed a few of the versions together to come up with certain scenes, he said,

"I went with the script because it is an adaptation of the fairytale. Obviously I knew the story of Snow White from childhood. The film was loosely based on the classic story."

The actors had some input during fight scenes, and certain sequences had to be tailored to different actors, because of their unique roles in the film. A dwarf would have different weapons and fighting style than a huntsman, and Snow White would fight different than the Evil Queen, played by Charlize Theron. In one scene where the Queen and Snow have an epic battle, it's all about experience and evil fighting against heart and determination. Every fighting scene is unique to the characters and to the situation.

Cooke explained,

"The characters are all different. They come from different places, have many different physical attributes, have different powers. This means they all have their own flavor. Input from actors helps. I can understand where they are coming from and where they want to go. I came up with different weapons and styles that each character could use, what I thought would be the right fit."

The characters were all great to work with, and were cooperative and open to learning new things,he said

"The cast were great because they were all keen to express their own character in a physical sense. A fight sequence is part of the journey within the script that they must take", Cooke added.

There are some challenges to training actors to use weapons they had no experience with before.  Luckily, Cooke had an easy time with this cast, as they were good studies and eager to learn. Cooke said,

"If I'm given an actor to train that has never picked up a weapon before, this can be tricky. Especially when the script dictates them looking like an expert. Luckily for me the cast of Snow White were all physically coordinated. Otherwise, it's lots of training to get someone looking like it's second nature."

From the previews I've seen, Snow White & The Huntsman looks like one badass action packed fairytale. I have no doubt all the actors will perform beautifully and kick royal fairytale butt during their fighting sequences. Now we know Ben Cooke was the man that made it all seem effortless.

Will you be watching Snow White kick butt on the big screen when the movie comes out on June 1?

The good news – Kate Del Castillo just participated in a sexy new PETA ad. The bad news – it's not THAT kind of PETA ad. Sorry La Reina del Sur fans, your favorite novela queen did not bare all for the animal rights organization, but she did pass along a powerful message.

Kate's PETA poster actually comes off a bit gothic. Set against a cloudy backdrop, it shows the 39-year-old actress in an elegant black dress with a Doberman Pinscher puppy in her arms.

The ad is actually printed in English and tells animal lovers to take good care of their dogs and cats. Using the headline "Fiercely Protect Your Animals," it urges owners to not neglect the pets they adopt.

Del Castillo, as usual, looks stunning and is flashing a very sexy pose. And though it delivers the same message as what Cesar Millan is preaching, Kate's ad is certain to turn more heads.

So what's Eva Longoria up to now that Desperate Housewives has wrapped? Hanging out with her adorable kitty and helping sell cans of Sheba! Yup, the Wisteria Lane alum has just released a brand new cat food commercial.

Entitled "Follow Your Passion," the 30-second spot definitely shows off Eva's fun side. You'll be able to see her let loose, dance through her house and (of course) spend some quality time with a furry feline friend.

"The commercial has a great storyline," she said in a behind-the-scenes featurette. "It's about a woman who comes home and she's tired, but then starts to unwind. And all the while, the cat is watching her every move."

Interestingly, it seems like a lot of well-known Latinas are trying their hand at commercials. Salma Hayek famously lent her name to Burger King and JLo got behind the wheel of Fiat. And we imagine they're all making a pretty penny doing it!

Maná is undoubtedly the greatest Latin rock band of all time. Fans of the Mexican group may even argue that they are the best rock band period. After seeing them perform live this past weekend, I can see why.

Maná made the last stop on their Drama y Luz tour a memorable one at the American Airlines Arena here in Miami, FL. It was the perfect venue to close out the U.S. leg of their tour that kicked off back in April in Hidalgo, TX, making stops in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Denver along the way.

With thousands of fans in attendance, Maná played hit song after hit song, opening the show with "Oye Mi Amor", one of their most popular songs from their early album Donde Jugaran Los Niños?

Accompanied by fellow band mates Alex Gonzalez (drums), Sergio Vallín (lead guitar), and Juan Calleros (bass), lead singer Fher Olvera played to the crowd like a true performer, engaging them every so often with shouts like "Que viva Miami!" and "Dónde está mi gente de latinoamérica?" to which the crowd would roar. At one point, Olvera even challenged the crowd to scream louder saying "Es verdad que Miami hace más bulla que Los Ángeles y Nueva York?” On cue, the crowd erupted.

The show included fireworks, flames, and very impressive solo numbers on behalf of the drummer and lead guitarist. Also, as part of a contest one lucky fan got the chance of a lifetime and performed alongside the Maná with his guitar in hand, garnering cheers from the audience.

One of the highlights of the performance was when Olvera proclaimed loudly "Maná está en contra de la ley de Arizona!" then proceeded to unroll a flag that at first appeared to be the Mexican flag, but as he kept unrolling and waving it in the air, you can see that it included all the flags of Latin America. There wasn't a silent mouth in the place.

The crowd throughout the entire show seemed to sing back up to all of Maná's hits. The depth of the group's music catalog was impressive. They dug deep into their repertoire of hits and with each number the crowd cheered with approval. From classics like "De Pies a Cabeza", "Clavado En Un Bar" and "Rayando El Sol" to their latest smash single "El Verdadero Amor Perdona", Maná delivered a show for the ages.

My personal favorite part was the encore. As the crowd waited in anticipation, Maná ran back on stage to the melody of "Corazón Espinado", a song off of Carlos Santana's Multi Grammy-award winning album Supernatural, which Maná was featured on. With that right there, Maná sealed the deal, turning the concert into an absolute 'fiesta'.

A stellar performance by a legendary group. Three decades worth of music and Maná shows no signs of slowing down. With too many hit records to count and a devoted fan base of millions all over the U.S. and Latinoámerica, Maná may very well be the best rock band out there. Period.

What's your favorite Maná song?

Country singer Loretta Lynn announced that the lovely singer/actress Zooey Deschanel will be portraying Lynn in the Broadway play Coal Miner's Daughter.

Deschanel would interpret Lynn's dramatic rise to stardom all the way back from her beginnings in backwoods Kentucky. Sissy Spacek played the same role in the 1980 film, and it earned her an Oscar. Maybe Zooey will nail it and get an Academy Award as well.

Lynn announced Deschanel's role in the Broadway play while the two met onstage to sing Loretta's signature song, 'Coal Miner's Daughter.' Lynn made the announcement in Nashville's Ryman Auditorium in front of a large crowd. There is still no official word on how the two connected and decided to go forward with the Coal Miner's Daughter role.

Zooey also broke the good news by posting an Instagram photo of herself and Loretta, with the caption,

"Loretta Lynn asked me to do "coal miner's daughter" on Broadway! I said YES!"

Congratulations, Zooey! That must be exciting. Deschanel currently stars in the hit FOX sitcom, New Girl, which has had amazing success in its first season.

American Idol finalist Jessica Sanchez had quite the emotional hometown visit this weekend when she returned to Chula Vista, California, for American Idol's hometown heroes week.

Sanchez reported,

"I feel amazing. I'm so happy to represent Chula Vista. It was the people,. I missed the people so much. I love you guys. Thank you for all the support."

Jessica was such a beloved contestant and hometown hero, the town mayor declared May 12 as "Jessica Sanchez Day." I'm sure the 16 year old singer was very proud and overwhelmed with joy. Jessica sang four songs as part of her homecoming ceremony, including Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You.'

Sanchez really had an emotional moment when she went onstage with her dad at the USS Midway Museum to sing Luther Vandross' 'Dance WIth My Father.' Her dad, a member of the United States Navy, will be deployed to Singapore soon.

Other American Idol finalists also got their time in the sun during their hometown visits. Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips will also have their homecoming experiences featured in an upcoming American Idol episode.

Ledet was greeted with signs all over town, expressing support from local businesses. He was also honored with a pep rally and was swarmed by fans showing their approval and showering him with love.

Phillips returned to his alma mater at Georgia's Lee County High School and performed for thousands of fans. Phillips said, during his performance,

"I don't even know what to say but thank you. I appreciate all of the support."

Both Phillips and Sanchez received the key to their cities. Not bad for young aspiring singers, huh?

There are a lot of reasons to get excited about the new season of The X Factor. Not only have they locked in Britney Spears as a new judge, Tr3s fave Demi Lovato will be joining the series too!

For the past few months, several music A-listers have been mentioned as possible additions to the show. Janet Jackson's name had been floated around, as had Mariah Carey's.

But nabbing Brit and Demi seems like a very shrewd move. Spears, as we all know, is an international superstar who will attract fans of 90's pop and beyond. Lovato, on the other hand, is huge with the tween crowd and has a strong Latino fanbase to boot.

The new X season should kick off later this fall, with auditions happening over the summer. And, just like those other reality singing competitions , we're sure you can expect lively performances from the new celebrity judges.

Real Beverly Hills housewife Brandi Clanville has two sons with LeAnn Rimes' hunky actor husband, Eddie Cibrian. Brandi, the pseudo-celebrity, recently confessed to once wanting to kill the country singer after catching LeAnn at one of her son's soccer practices holding her baby boy on her lap.

The crazed momma bear said,

"I remember walking up to soccer practice and there she was with my baby in her lap. My blood was boiling, and I thought I was going to kill her. I really thought I was going to physically hurt her."

Whoa there, Brandi. Meow! Just think of what's better for your boys, Mason and Jake. You going crazy psycho on LeAnne, or being happy for the boys that their new step mom treats them well and is good to them?

Brandi continued her jealous rant and said,

"But that was the first time I saw her that way-- she was sitting in my soccer chair, under my tent, she's got my kid on her lap and she's with my husband, and that was that little moment of total irrational fury."

I wonder why it didn't work out with her and Eddie. Brandi, the 39 year old mother of both boys, then had a moment of clarity. She explained,

"We're never going to be best friends, but she's good to my kids, they love her and that's all I could ask for. If they didn't like her, I'd be in court right now, fighting. It's not about me-- it's about them."

No, I think it's still about you Brandi, somewhere deep down inside. Especially in your catty comments about you being glad they didn't sign a prenup, as if you're counting the days until this evil marriage ends. The catty housewife said,

"Thank God [they don't have a pre-nup]! My kids' futures will be taken care of if that's true."

The pseudo-celebrity is still regretting her and Eddie had no prenup, saying, "I got f***ed, and not in a good way."

Wow. Stay classy, Brandi. Good luck in your next relationship, or should I say, good luck to your next partner. He'll probably need it, seeing how the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills reality show star is still pretty vindictive and bitter about the whole thing, from what I can tell.

Have you ever wanted to kill your ex's significant other?

It looks like Elsa Pataky had an extra special reason to enjoy Mother's Day yesterday. The Spanish star became a mommy herself on Friday, giving birth to a baby girl named India.

In case you were unaware, India's daddy is none other than The Mighty Thor. Avengers star Chris Hemsworth married Elsa back in 2010 and it seems they wasted no time starting a family.

According to Us Weekly , India was born in London and is doing "just fine." An anonymous source told the magazine,

"Elsa's so proud of Chris and he's proud of her. They are an adorable family already!"

Let's just hope Pataky can recover quickly enough to film her role in the upcoming Fast Six!
