Naomi Watts will be starring on the silver screen as Britain's Princess Diana in a new film documenting the last few years of Lady Di's life. Production on the fill will start in Britain later in the year.
While the shocking automobile accident that brought upon Lady Di's death has been featured in many television movies, Caught In Flight will be the first big screen movie made about Princess Diana's unfortunate fate. Naomi Watts feels proud to have been chosen for this role, and stated,
"It was such an honor to be able to play this iconic role. Princess Diana was loved across the world and I look forward to rising to the challenge of playing her on screen."
Caught In Flight will focus on the last two years of Diana's life, particularly her two-year secret affair with Hasnat Khan, a heart surgeon, and her subsequent divorce from Prince Charles. According to British film studio Ecosse Films, the movie chronicles
"how finding true personal happiness for the first time allowed her to achieve defining success evolving into a major international campaigner and humanitarian."
Princess Diana was 36 years old when the tragic accident happened, adding to the "outpouring of worldwide grief." Oliver Hirschbiegel, director of Downfall, a movie chronicling Adolf Hitler's last days, will be directing this film.

It's never too early to learn about the American legal system and this week on Sesame Street, young viewers got a taste of it thanks to Sonia Sotomayor. The Latina Supreme Court judge made a very memorable appearance on the show and even ruled on case involving Goldilocks and Baby Bear.
In a very cute segment, Sotomayor stumbles upon Baby Bear, a colorful Muppet who seemed to be in a bit of legal trouble. Baby broke the chair of Goldilocks and, as Sonia emphasized, it was now his responsibility to have it replaced.
But Sotomayor didn't just offer her advice, she actually threw on her trademark black robe and presided over the case!
"I always wear these robes when I hear a case,” she jokingly told the audience.
We actually think Sonia did a great job on the Street. Not only did she teach little ones about fairness and consideration, she showed off her very sharp sense of humor.

A picture is worth a thousand words and the recent Sylvester Stallone/Arnold Schwarzenegger snap that's been circulating on the web brings one particular palabra to our minds – Machismo! The aging action stars were seen posing together on gurneys as they both prepped for shoulder surgery.
Now in their 60’s, Arnold and Sly have put their bodies through the ringer for their stunt-heavy movies. And, according to Schwarzenegger, it was pure coincidence that brought them together in the ER.
"After all the action, stunts & physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder,” he told fans on his blog. “Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery. Now we're ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot The Tomb."
Indeed, the two will be appearing in quite a few movies together in the near future. But for now, it's probably best they get some R & R. Let's hope the guys can find a good helper to nurse them back to fighting shape.

With six decades in the music business, Vicente Fernandez has definitely had a good run. The legendary Mexican singer has sold millions of albums, performed around the world, and influenced generations of mariachi fans. And now, as he approaches his 72nd birthday, Vicente has decided it's time to retire from the stage.
Fernandez delivered the big news this week and made sure to let his fans know that it was a very difficult decision. But the rigors of life on the road is a bit too much for this aging abuelito.
"An artist needs to retire with a lot of dignity, in the right moment," he told interviewers. "And I think that this year I will say goodbye to all of you, to the public from Central, South America, I will say goodbye to Spain for all the love they gave me for many years."
But keep in mind that Vicente is not retiring from recording. He still plans on making new music and is willing to do TV appearances to promote his songs. And if you're really eager to see a Fernandez on the live circuit, you can always check out his son Alejandro.

There was nothing entertaining about the Chilean earthquake of 2010. Registering an 8.8 on the Richter Scale, it ravaged the country and wound up killing over 500 citizens. But that hasn't stopped Hollywood from wanting to turn it into a disaster flick, which will appropriately be titled Aftershock.
Written by horror maestro Eli Roth (who created the Hostel series), Aftershock follows a group of Chilean inmates who escape from an asylum after the quake. Mixing elements of horror, comedy, and action, it's already got Nicolas Martinez, Ariel Levy, and Miguel Asensio attached as leads.
Interestingly, Roth will also be acting in the film and, according to Hispanically Speaking, Selena Gomez even filmed a cameo. Up-and-coming Chilean moviemaker Nicolas Lopez will be listed as a co-screenwriter and he told DIY that it’s something he’s very proud of.
"I was a fan of [Eli's work] and I love that we're mixing our sensibility," he said. "People will be shocked when they see this movie. It's nothing that you could expect. I want this to be my Robocop."
You can judge for yourself, when Aftershock hits theaters later this year.

As we come up on the 17th anniversary of Selena Quintanilla's death, the time seems right to honor her memory. Or at least, that's how her record company feels. This April, a new tribute album entitled Enamorada de Ti will hit stores and it's got quite an impressive list of celebrity guests.
Cristian Castro, Don Omar, and Selena Gomez have all lent their voices to the record, which will feature classic Selena songs mixed with new arrangements. The first single, "Amor Prohibido", is an enticing duet featuring Samo from Camila.
"Amor" will be hitting radio outlets first and seems like quite a good lead off for the project. The title track of her 1994 breakthrough album, "Amor", originally reached #1 on the Billboard Latin Songs charts and eventually went platinum in Mexico.
Hopefully we'll get to see some new videos from the Enamorada album too. Perhaps they can mix old Selena footage with new celebrity clips, or at least get a close up of that signature jacket A.B. Quintanilla wore to his latest wedding.

Film and television star Gary Busey is headed for the poor house. Sources say he has accumulated over $500,000 in personal debt over the last few years.
Busey is reported to have less than $50,000 in assets, despite having starred in blockbuster films such as Point Break and Lethal Weapon, as well as lesser-knows campy horror flops like The Gingerdead Man (I kid you not. Watch Gary Busey play a murderous gingerbread man. You won't be disappointed).
The zany actor filed for bankruptcy on Tuesday in Los Angeles, providing little more detail than the few dozen creditors he listed. While he does not provide a detailed explanation of why he is filing for bankruptcy, his manager shared that this move on Busey's part provides him "a new and clear path to personal and career success."
Maybe he should have done more episodes of Celebrity Rehab or Celebrity Apprentice in order to keep that income rolling in. This could pose as a positive for Busey fans, however. Maybe he'll be strapped enough for cash to make more episodes of I'm With Busey. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
Do you think Gary Busey should keep making more television shows?

It's looking like baby boy Justin Bieber is teaming up with party animal Ke$ha on his next studio album release. The singer-songwriter will add her talent to Bieber vocals for an undoubtedly energetic ensemble.
Bieber's third studio album, Believe, will contain a track written by none other than Ke$ha herself. She will also be featured on the track, singing a duet with the Biebs, no doubt sizzling it up with her hip hop vibe. This is taking Bieber Fever to a whole other level now, considering Ke$ha is not exactly known for her tame and subtle ways.
This might be just what Justin needs to kick his stardom and up a notch and possibly increase his audience fanbase (if that were possible). Let's hope the "empress of glitter and unicorns" sprinkles some of that crazy powder on Bieber and gives the track some added flair.
Justin has also teamed up with Usher, once again, in the production of this new album. This dynamic duo of hip hop has sold plenty of records before, and will no doubt do it again. Watch out, fans. This might be Bieber's best release yet!

Tell me what you want, what you really really want. Is it a Spice Girls reunion? If so, then you might be in luck.
The Spice Girls are apparently undergoing negotiations in hopes of reuniting in the near future. This time around, they're not just going for "wannabe" status, they're reuniting for more socially conscious causes like teen suicide and bullying.
There seems to be a sense of unfinished business among the group after stopping their 2008 tour short because of "family and personal commitments." The Spice Girls seem to have more on their agenda now. According to a source,
"The whole idea of girl power and using that to fight against bullying and teen suicide is something that has been discussed."
The only thing that seems to be holding the group back is their busy schedules, especially that of Mel B. Scary Spice is a busy bee these days with Dancing With the Stars and X Factor. The source shares,
"They have a lot to figure out. Right now it is all just talking."
Have you secretly been hoping for a Spice Girls reunion?

Think you know Pauly D from the Jersey Shore? Despite what you may have seen of the Rhode Island native on the MTV show, Paul Delvecchio is way more than just GTL and haircuts.
I bet you didn't even know that he recently toured with Britney Spears or that he just signed a deal with 50 Cent's G-Note Records. Now thanks to the upcoming Jersey Shore spin-off "The Pauly D Project" you definitely will. Honestly, it's about time we get a Jersey Shore spin-off and they couldn't have picked a better house mate to focus on than Pauly.
The reality show plans to follow the DJ through his adventures in the chaotic music industry and his rise to fist-pumping stardom. Unfortunately Snooki and the rest of the gang will not be along for the ride but the show promises to introduce an original cast of crazy characters that help Pauly along the way. Among these is Pauly's road manager, Michael "Biggie" Morgan and his personal bodyguard, Gerard "Big Jerry" Gialanella. MTV pokes at the fact that Pauly's new boss, Mr. 50 Cent himself, might make a couple of appearances.
The DJ revealed his thoughts on the new show,
"It'll probably be along the lines of, I used to be this DJ in Rhode Island DJing two sets a week, hustling, promoting. And all of a sudden, I'm on this show, and now they're sending private jets for me to DJ for these huge crowds, yet i'm still the same guy that was DJing for 200 people, just loving life."
Pauly D is just one of eight cast members who created a phenomenon that for the past five seasons has produced everything from Halloween costumes to novels (remember "A Shore Thing" by Nicole Polizzi aka Snooki?). There is no telling what Pauly D will have in store for fans when "The Pauly D Project" premieres, tune in at 10:30pm Thursday March 29th on MTV!
