Eugenio Derbez' CBS Sitcom Scores Big Ratings

It's official, ¡Rob! is a hit! The CBS sitcom starring Rob Schneider, Cheech Marin, and Eugenio Derbez was watched by over 13 million people last night, dominating its 8:30pm timeslot.

Unfortunately, the critics weren't as kind as the viewers. The Chicago Tribune called it "clumsy and uncomfortable," and the L.A. Times felt ¡Rob!'s premise was uninspired and "tired."

But then again, all of those reviews were just based off the first episode. It's always tough setting up a new series and we're hopeful that, as the season progresses, ¡Rob! will find its legs (and a lot more scenes for Eugenio).

Judging by the boffo ratings, we're sure ¡Rob! will be around for a least a few more weeks. Especially since it beat primetime mainstays like 30 Rock and The Office. As they say, "stay tuned" for more details.
