Who doesn't love those classic action buddy movies? There's Rush Hour with Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, 48 Hours with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte, and now a possible project starring William Levy and Jencarlos Canela.
Granted, this concept is still in the very early development stages and both Levy and Canela haven't even agreed to star. But if Brazilian producer Frederico Lapenda has his way, the two Cuban hunks could soon be kicking butt at a theater near you.
Right now, Lapenda's resume includes mostly straight-to-DVD fare, but he certainly knows the action genre. Frederico has already produced four fist-pumping movies this year, including The Hammer, Man Vs. Machine, and Blood Out.
So what script ideas could he be planning for William and Jencarlos? Apparently it would be about two best friends who go on a global adventure and get caught up with corrupt cops. Sounds intriguing to us and a lot more macho than starring in a sappy novela.
Do you think Levy and Canela would make good action stars? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.
