Mexican beauty Sandra Echeverría will be starring alongside Golden Globe winner Sharon Stone in a movie about an American reporter searching for her missing brother in Mexico. The Mule, directed by Gabriela Tagliavini, will portray a tale of violence and human smuggling across the United States and Mexico border.
Stone will play the lead role as the reporter, and Echeverría will play a supporting role as one of Stone's companions along the way during her search. Discussing her challenging role, Sandra states,
"Es una película para hacer reflexionar soble la migración."
She goes on to share how Tagliavini asked her to be part of the film during a brief encounter on the Premios Alma red carpet.
"Me dijo que tenía un personaje increíble para mí... Le vi potencial al personaje, aunque me va a tocar sufrir mucho."
Echeverría accepted the part after seeing the script and looks forward to working with Stone. The movie was originally going to be filmed on location, but plans had to be changed because of all the violence erupting throughout Mexico.
"Al ver la violenta situacion que atraviesa el país... tendremos que rodar en Utah, desde el 26 de octubre y nos vamos hasta el 16 de noviembre. Es una tristeza por nuestro país que la gente no se quiera venir a filmar."
Echeverría was previously rumored to have hooked up with Marc Anthony while the two were working together back in July. Sandra denied these rumors, however, and stated they were just friends.
The 26 year-old Mexican singer-turned-actress has also just completed filming for the movie Savages, directed by Oliver Stone. Not bad, girl! Qué guapa!
How do you think Sandra Echeverría will do in such a challenging film role?
