Espinoza Paz Signs On For New Eva Mendes Movie

By Michael Lopez

Talk about a diverse cast. The latest addition to Eva Mendes’ upcoming movie See If I Care sounds very intriguing and has us wondering just what the 2012 comedy-drama has in store. Banda singer Espinoza Paz has now signed on to the project, which also features Eugenio Derbez, Raini Rodriguez, and Patricia Arquette.

Described as a coming-of-age movie, See If I Care was written by up-and-coming scribe Hiram Martinez. Hiram’s previous work includes the critically-acclaimed indie flick Four Dead Batteries and he’s currently penning a project for Mad Men’s Jon Hamm.

Espinoza will reportedly have a rather small role, but he seems very excited about it nonetheless. Paz was particularly thrilled to be filming scenes with the always hilarious Derbez.

“They asked me if I was up for doing something and I did three scenes with Eugenio where I mess around with him because I play his cousin in the story,” Espinoza said. “I don’t know [Eva] very well, but she was nice and Eugenio is cool, very talkative.”

According to IMDb, you can catch See If I Care in theaters by early next year.
