Brad Pitt Quickly Clarifies Jennifer Aniston Remarks

Just because you're a rich and powerful movie star doesn't mean you can't stick your foot in your mouth. After a wave of negative backlash over his recent comments about ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt has gone on record to "clarify" the situation.

In an interview with Parade, Pitt insinuated that life with the former Friends star was a bit on the dull side. Specifically, he said he began feeling "pathetic" during that period and felt his marriage had something to do with it.

But now Brad has quickly switched to damage control mode, telling Us Weekly that he never intended his words to come off that way.

"It grieves me that this was interpreted this way," he said. "Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself -- and that, I am responsible for."

Aniston, for the record, has yet to comment on the issue and seems to now be leading a boring-free existence with new boyfriend Justin Theroux.
