Who knew the competition for being the "World’s Smallest Man" was so fierce? Colombia's Edward “Niño” Hernandez measures just 26 inches and is currently in a heated battle to keep that title for himself. But he has quite a few challenges ahead, as a new TLC documentary is illustrating.
Airing this Sunday, The World’s Smallest Man follows Edward's life traveling throughout South America. Truly a star attraction everywhere he goes, Hernandez is determined to use his small stature to help lift his family out of poverty.
Judging from the online teasers, TLC is actually handling this documentary very well. Rather than trying to exploit Edward's diminutive size, they're showcasing his caring nature (and his very big heart). Of course this is television after all, so there will definitely be drama. Particularly Hernandez' fight to stay in the Guinness Book of World Records.
After seeing his dance moves, funny quips, and heartfelt speeches, it's clear that Edward was born to be a star. And that's exactly what he's shooting for. Let's hope his Hollywood dreams come true because we can already think of one new movie that he'd be perfect for!
Do you find Edward's story inspirational? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.
