Curious about what show captured America's attention on Labor Day weekend? Nope, it wasn't Bachelor Pad or Hell’s Kitchen, but rather the little dancing stars from Univision’s Pequeños Gigantes!
Amazingly, the season finale of the children's talent show scored over 5.7 million viewers, making it the most-watched program on Monday night. Even NBC's heavily hyped 9/11 Anniversary Special couldn't touch it.
Based out of Mexico, Gigantes has been a huge hit since it kicked off in June. Monday's episode featured some fierce competition between the "Los Irresistibles" team and the "Los Mega Estrellas" kids. Ultimately, "Irresistibles" won, taking home a $200,000 prize.
With America’s Got Talent, The X-Factor, and a new season of Idol on the way, it's clear that TV viewers are hungry for talent competitions. Perhaps with these latest Labor Day ratings, American network execs will consider bringing the Pequeños to the states.
Did you watch Pequeños Gigantes this season? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.
