Just last week, we told you about the massive tribute concert Michael Jackson's mother Katherine was planning for the fall. And since the news broke, there have been quite a few developments. For one thing, Christina Aguilera has officially signed on to the roster. But on the flipside, there have been rumors floating that the show may be causing a Jackson family rift.
According to Radar Online, Michael's brothers Randy and Jermaine do not think the concert is a good idea. Their main gripe seems to be about its location. Katherine had planned on holding the show in Wales, but other Jacksons have expressed uneasiness about her traveling that far.
"Randy and Jermaine just don't think it's a good idea for Katherine, who is 81 years old, to fly all the way over to Britain for the concert," a source close to the family said.
The anonymous tipster also claims that the Jackson brothers don't want Michael's children at the event.
"Prince and Paris need to stay in school, and not be used for publicity. Jermaine is very concerned," the source went on to say.
At this stage of the game, it may be too late to alter the plans. So far, Xtina, Cee-Lo Green, and Smokey Robinson have all committed to the concert and ticket reservations are already being made.
