Little by little, your favorite shows are getting a sprinkling of Latino talent. Dexter recently added Edward James Olmos to its cast, Odette Annabelle just signed on for House, and now Bobby Cannavale is joining Nurse Jackie.
Known as one of Showtime's quirkiest series, Nurse Jackie follows the life of a drug-addicted RN named Jackie Peyton (played by The Sopranos’' Edie Falco). Mixing bits of comedy and drama, it's built a huge cult following and even earned two Emmy Awards.
Cannavale is fresh off a Tony nomination for his role in the Chris Rock play, The Motherf*cker With the Hat. But most TV viewers will recognize the half-Cuban star for his work on shows like Third Watch and Will & Grace.
Though his Jackie role hasn't been revealed yet, Bobby is expected to be a regular for the full season (and possibly a romantic lead). You can watch him break out the white shoes and scrubs when the series returns in early 2012.
