Those of us still waiting for that Scarface sequel may have to keep our fingers crossed. But in the meantime, Universal Pictures has announced the next best thing. At the end of this month, Tony Montana will grace the silver screen once again with a nationwide screening of the classic 1983 film.
Co-produced by Fathom Events, the Scarface screening will happen in 475 theaters across the country on August 31. And that's not all, fans who buy tickets will also be treated to a brand new 20-minute documentary that celebrates the movie's massive impact on pop culture.
"Almost 30 years after its initial release, Scarface remains iconic and stirs passionate responses from audiences around the world," Dan Diamond, vice president of Fathom said. "Now, fans can experience Scarface like never before in theaters with spectacularly updated visual and sound quality, and never-before-seen elements in an historic, one-night event."
Now we know what you’re thinking, what if it's impossible to reach one of the theaters it's playing at? Don't worry, you can still catch the new documentary and a whole lot more when it arrives on Blu-Ray DVD on September 6.
