Anyone who's followed the career of Jenni Rivera knows that she's never at a loss for words. The Banda Queen always entertains when she's on the stage and proved to be quite engaging on her reality show, I Love Jenni. But now she may get paid for her gift of gab, with her own daytime talk show.
Reportedly titled El Show de Jenni Rivera, the Jenni talker would debut in October on L.A.'s Estrella TV. Similar to Oprah and Father Albert, she'd be seated on the couch and engaging with a variety of guests.
Of course that doesn't mean that Rivera's other ventures won't continue. Her Jenni Jeans line still seems to be moving forward as planned and her music career is as hot as ever.
Billboard just announced that Jenni has re-signed a very lucrative contract with Universal Records. Not only that, she's about to become the first female regional Mexican artist ever to play L.A.'s Staples Center!

There are countless reasons why you should be rooting for J.R. Martinez on this season of Dancing With The Stars. Not only is he the only Latino going after the mirror ball trophy, he's also a decorated veteran of the Iraq War.
Soap fans are well aware of J.R.'s charisma. For the past three years, he's played retired soldier Bret Monroe on the daytime drama, All My Children. That role happens to hit close to home because like Bret, Martinez also toured in Iraq and nearly lost his life.
Back in 2003, a Humvee that J.R. was riding in unexpectedly hit a landmine. The violent explosion left Martinez' with severe burns on over 40 percent of his body.
"I was trapped inside the vehicle for about 10 minutes, conscious and can literally see my life slipping away from me," he said when recounting the incident. "You know, my mother is my best friend and I kind of had the visual of my mother, and them handing her a flag and I thought to myself, that's not something I want to put my mother through."
Martinez' mom was obviously overjoyed that he pulled through and stayed by his side throughout his many hospital visits. Interestingly, it was during the time he was bedridden that J.R. began to contemplate an acting career.
Martinez said watching novelas inspired him and just a few short years later, he was on an "American novela" himself. And now with DWTS, J.R. is ready to take his fame to the next level. Not only that, he's hopeful that he can be an inspiration to the millions of viewers who tune in.
"I just want people to take away that no matter through what war or battle that you are fighting, that through positive thinking, through a positive attitude you can overcome," he said. "I think all of us up here are going to prove that to the 40 million people that watch this show that we are going to push ourselves to go beyond what were thought possible.”

It's hard to imagine an infant in the defendant's seat, but that may be happening in the case of Thalía vs. Genomma Labs! Apparently the Mexican singer's pregnancy caused quite an uproar at the beauty products company, primarily because it breached a contract she had signed back in 2009.
Genomma had wanted to Thalía to be its spokeswoman for a particular line of creams and initially she seemed happy to do it. That is, until she started sporting that baby bump. Apparently after her pregnancy, Thalía decided to back out of the deal.
The company is seeking an undisclosed sum as well as interest for profits lost. But seeing how Thalía is married to one of the most successful men in the music biz, we're sure she'll get a good lawyer to help with the fight.
Our thought is, why not make peace and extend the cream line to infants? That way Thalía and her newborn son Matthew can advertise the products (and keep their skin wrinkle-free).

Adult film shoots across the U.S. have been put to a halt after a performer tested positive for HIV, Reuters reported. The Free Speech Coalition recommended the temporary shutdown of all adult film productions after discovering that an undisclosed actor tested positive for the virus.
Los Angeles-based Free Speech Coalition called for this shutdown after finding out about the case over the weekend . The group said further testing was needed to confirm the performer had indeed contracted the virus on the work set.
Diane Duke, executive director of the Free Speech Coalition, told Reuters that she was not aware of any companies refusing to comply with the production halt. "The industry has had a successful system of health and safety self-regulation since 1998, despite any misinformation being spread by our opponents," the trade group said.
In 2010, porn actor Derrick Burts tested positive for HIV, which also led to a temporary production stop. Until recently, many porn performers had themselves tested for HIV at a private clinic in Los Angeles, which closed in May due to bankruptcy filing, Reuters said. The Free Speech Coalition has developed a program to take its place and has been in the process of signing up performers.
What do you think of this halt of Adult Film productions due to a case of HIV?

The hype is most certainly building for Romeo Santos' debut solo album. Set to drop in November, his Formula Vol. 1 already includes the smash hit "You" and the upcoming single "Promise," featuring none other than Usher!
A tender bilingual balled, "Promise" actually blends Romeo and Usher’s styles very well. There are tropical guitars, pop synthesizers, and hints of piano for an added touch of romance.
Both singers seem to be very excited about the track and are already in the midst of filming a video with director Anthony Mandler (who helmed Jay-Z’s "Run This Town"). Appearing in a brief "Promise' promo, Usher said,
"Being able to not only see [Romeo] perform, but also hear his music, I thought this is the thing that people will remember. That's what we’re doing here today, making history."
Romeo seemed be all smiles while shooting scenes amidst the New York rooftops. And if all goes according to plan, his new song "Promises" to be quite a hit when it arrives on iTunes September 2.

Twitch reports that Johnson is now in talks to star as the Giant Goliath in Relativity Media and Temple Hill Entertainment's biblical epic. This take on the classic David and Goliath story, has director Scott Derrickson (The Day The Earth Stood Still) attached and is envisioned to be in the likes of 300 in terms of style.
Now there are already concerns about whether or not Lautner is right for the part because he is 5'10" tall and compared to The Rock's 6'5" it's not really keeping true to the story. Obviously there will be computer generated visual FX to enhance the giantess of Goliath, but perhaps choosing an shorter actor would be wiser, also to calm down religious fanatics who are sure to voice their opinions!

Comedian Kat Williams recently went on an anti-Mexican rant on stage, got in a fight with an audience member and then went off on a seemingly endless tirade about how those who love Mexico should go back to their country instead of staying in the United States.
His comedy routine got sidetracked when an audience member visibly disagreed with what Williams was saying. He made a comment about how Mexicans should have fought for California if they loved it so much. He continued on to say that it "used to be Mexico, now it's Phoenix," then throwing an expletive in for good measure.
Williams can be seen spewing personal attacks at the angry ex-fan, in between chants of "USA! USA!." He tells the angry audience member to go back to Mexico, all while f-bombs and n-bombs fly around the stage. The comedy show quickly turns into a nationalistic rally, and he eventually bursts into the musical part of the show, singing "Glory Glory Hallelujah."
What is more shocking than all this is that Katt's xenophobic anti-Mexican rant was cheered on by the crowd. The argument with the heckler made Williams go on a tangent about his thoughts on slavery and immigration, crossing the line of what's considered edgy and inappropriate in a comedy act.
What do you think? Should some things in a comedy act be off limits?

Matthew Fox was officially hit with assault charges after punching a party bus driver outside a Cleveland club. The female driver had refused him entry onto the party bus because he was drunk, and furthermore, not even invited. Ouch!
Heather Borman, the driver, refused Fox entry after noticing "he smelled like a liquor cabinet, like a bar." She did not immediately recognize the actor. Fox punched the woman in her midsection a repeated number of times. The woman fought back by hitting Matthew square in the face, with just one punch. Go on, Girl! Qué brava!
Fox was arrested after the incident and was released early Sunday morning. The bus driver went to the hospital to have her hand bandaged, and pictures were taken to document the assault. The bus had been headed to a bachelor party to which Matthew had no invite. It is still unclear how Matthew ended up over there in the first place. Stay classy, Matt!
We best know Matthew Fox as the sentimental character of Jack Shephard in Lost. At one point in the show, Jack had a drinking problem and became a bit unhinged. Is Fox's outburst an isolated incident, or could it be a classic case of life imitating art? Let the Jears begin.
What do you think? Would you let Jack Shephard on your party bus?

Golden Boy Oscar de la Hoya went on Aquí y Ahora Tuesday night to spill the beans on his struggle with alcohol and drugs, and Teresa Rodriguez had the scoop. This is the first time he has given such a candid interview since he voluntarily checked himself into a rehabilitation center earlier this year. After 3 1/2 months of silence, he has decided to come clean about the demons that have been haunting his life.
The star boxer explains how he suffered from a cocaine and alcohol addiction. He is now on the road to recovery and taking the necessary measures to lead a sober life. At one point he had no idea how he was still alive, and was sure he would end up either dead on in jail. Retired at 33 years of age, he had felt too much responsibility and pressure and had no idea how to cope any more.
After 6 world titles in 6 weight classes, you'd think de la Hoya would be on top of the world. His world actually fell apart when his mother died of cancer when he was just 17 years old, and he has not been the same ever since.
At one point during the interview, he even admitted he would probably not have gone down the reckless path he chose had his mother been alive. She would have straightened him out with "la famosa chancle," referring to the dreaded chancleta all Latin kids fear. All joking aside, the death of his mother took quite a toll on his personal life and his career.
Oscar confessed he started experimenting with alcohol when he was 9 years of age. Adults would ask him to get them drinks at family gathering and parties, and he used this opportunity to sneak drinks. This contributed to him developing a taste for alcohol at an early age. The emptiness he felt throughout his life contributed to his addictions, and when he lost his mother, alcohol became an escape. He was shocked at how dependent he had eventually become on alcohol, explaining how you can't be a good athlete when you take tequila shots before a fight.
The fighter came clean about his cocaine addiction during this special interview, explaining how he never did it in front of many people. He became tired of lying to everyone and decided to give rehabilitation a chance. It had become tiring being a father and husband, but he was determined to turn his path around and fight for his life. He was tired of coming home at 3 and 4 in the morning only to have to go train the next morning.
By age 32, his lifestyle had taken a toll on his physical and mental state, and he had spiraled out of control. He didn't care about his wife or kids, just coke, drinking, and partying.
De la Hoya also admitted to taking those racy photos of him that surfaced back in 2007. The photos of him and stripper Milana Dravnel had been previously dismissed to be fakes. Oscar said they were, in fact, real and a result of the drugs and the alcohol that had taken a hold on his life. He is ashamed of this and all other indiscretions he committed by betraying his wife, Puerto Rican singer Millie Corretjer, the love of his life.He admitted to cheating on her on several occasions, but said all that is in the past and all he wants is to move on.
At the time of the interview, it's been 109 days since he has had alcohol or cocaine. He is living day to day and says he feel great. He has dedicated his life to his wife and kids, as well as his philanthropic endeavor Golden Boy Productions, looking for new talent in the boxing world. Oscar even offers some words of advice for young athletes: stay humble, never forget where you come from, and stay healthy and live a clean life.
The Oscar de la Hoya who gave this interview is a different Oscar than the one who entered the rehab center back in May. He feels he has been given a second chance and is determined to make the most out of his life. He equates his recovery to the hardest training, for a fight he is never going to have.
What do you think of Oscar de la Hoya revelations?

There's nothing wrong with looking for love on the internet. Heck, millions of people around the world do it every day. But when you stumble across an explicit sex ad from a famous 90's singer, THAT's when things get interesting.
Apparently Irish crooner Sinead O'Connor has hit cyberspace in search of men who want her "legendary arse." Titling her blog "IS SINEAD ABOUT TO HUMP HER TRUCK?," the 44-year-old revealed quite a few intimate details about her preferences in the bedroom.
"My sh-uation sexually/affectionately speaking is so dire that inanimate objects are starting to look good as are inappropriate and/or unavailable men and/or inappropriate and/or unavailable fruits and vegetables," she posted.
And that was only the beginning. O'Connor also made references to anal sex and expressed an interest in meeting female partners. Looks like you'll be in for quite an interesting night if you take Sinead up on her offer. Maybe she'll even sing you a lullabye when it's all over.
