There are two types of gamers in this world, those who like cutesy puzzle adventures and those who like to kick ass. Fans of the Saints Row series easily fall into the latter category. Now prepping its third installment, Saints is all about big guns, fistfights, and even a few luchadores.
As of right now, the first two Saints Row games have sold a combined total of four million units. Not too shabby and definitely a solid justification to continue the series. Though many have criticized the titles as knock-offs of the popular Grand Theft Auto line, Saints definitely comes with its own batch of originality.
For Saints Row: The Third, game manufacturer THQ is pushing the limits of the PS3 and Xbox 360. With new enhanced graphics, a cooperative two-player mode, and an "awesome" button added to the mix, stealing cars and slapping thugs has never been more fun.
One other aspect that sets Saints apart is its unabashed comedy. Definitely not for the younger set, The Third will include sex toy weapons, bunny suit costume changes, and a special technique that lets you kick victims in the family jewels! You can also commandeer cannon-equipped cars, high-flying helicopters, and striker jets.
And did we mention the luchadores? Oh yea, your favorite gang from the streets of Steelport is back and they're still taking orders from the colorful Killbane. Donning green wrestler masks and a whole lotta weapons, these temperamental bad guys can put up quite a fight. One other interesting note is that Hulk Hogan will be voicing Angel, a new member of the luchadores crew.
Already sporting a pretty hot trailer and a hefty pre-order list, Saints Row: The Third promises to be a very big seller when it hits stores in the fall. Look for it in your local game shop on November 15!
