Producers On The Hunt For Mexican 'Voice' Coaches

Pop Quiz: What do television producers do when they know they have a hot property? Duplicate it for Latin America! We've all seen the trend of creating Spanish versions of hit TV shows and this fall it's The Voice that will be getting the Español treatment. But the question is, who will the celebrity coaches be?

So far, only Mexican songstress Lucero has been confirmed in the lineup. But with a broadcast date set for September 11, the showrunners will need to fill the other three chairs quick! Producer Miguel Angel Fox expanded on the tricky process.

"Lucero juzgaría la parte pop, pero buscamos a alguien ranchero, alguien de la onda grupera y un roquero para que haya variedad, pues en los castings hemos encontrado de todo tipo de géneros musicales," he explained.

Within the past few days, speculations have run wild about who may be chosen to help complete La Voz…Mexico (as it is now being called). Insider spies have mentioned names like Pedro Fernandez and Gloria Estefan, but it's anyone's guess as to who finally signs on the dotted line. All we know is, if you're looking to add some "character" to the show, there's one diva who would be absolutely perfect.
