Could Sofia Vergara be biting off more than she can chew? It sure seems that way. Believe it or not, the Colombian actress currently has four movies in production, plus a starring role in Modern Family. That's why we're not too surprised to hear that she's dropping out of the upcoming drama The Paperboy because of a scheduling conflict.
Perhaps the most interesting part of this story is her replacement. It seems Nicole Kidman may take on the Paperboy role originally meant for Vergara. According to The Huffington Post, the Oscar-winning actress is "in talks" to play the female lead.
To be honest, we're a little sad Sofia let this one go. All of the other films she has lined up (The Smurfs, Happy Feet 2, The Three Stooges) are zany comedies and it would be nice to see her flex her acting chops with a heavier role.
But we definitely don't want to see Vergara overwork herself, and we're sure she's got plenty of time to earn that Academy Award in the years ahead.
Would you like to see Sofia take on more dramatic roles? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.
