We've all heard what Juanes' dearly departed manager had to say about the infamous P.A.R.C.E. tour, but now it's El Rockero's turn to speak his mind. Denying a lengthy retirement and "personal problems", Juanes confirmed that he will be touring Spain and taking a brief hiatus.
"[P.A.R.C.E.] is a very special tour for me," Juanes explained during a recent interview. "This has been a special year for me. This album is special, and the moment is special as well. My music and my career have taken a different turn, I'm not exactly sure in which direction, but I do know I'm in a change process."
Well we all know that "change" is good, just ask President Obama. But the big question circulating around Juanes is, how much change? Will he be abandoning his musical career for good (as some rumors would have you believe)?
Absolutely not, El Rockero confirmed. After performing nine shows in Spain, he said he will be using his downtime to write new songs.
"The only thing I'm going to do is take a few days at home with my kids. I need to be with them and compose new songs, oxygenate my music, and move on forward," Juanes said. "Music is my life, and will always be my vehicle to express myself. Obviously, there are moments of physical and mental fatigue in which you collapse for a moment, and you must stop, but these are just moments, nothing else."
