Jennifer Lopez is all confidence when it comes to her career and the way she handles controversies. After all, she has had her good share of them throughout her career and at this point she is a total pro, always handling the most embarrassing, painful and controversial issues with grace and style.
Obviously, Marc Anthony's ex, Dayanara Torres, has not had enough practice dealing with controversies -the only real controversy she has had to withstand has been her quickie divorce to Marc, who ran off to marry the gorgeous American Idol judge less than a month afterwards.
This lack of confidence was evident today, when Dayanara declared how worried she is about her two sons with Marc (Cristian and Ryan Anthony) hearing about the private tapes of Jennifer Lopez and ex Ojani Noah.
In a statement to TVyNovelas magazine, the ex Miss Universe declared:
"One tries to hide certain things from them, but ultimately the kids grow up and they continue to learn more things... As time goes by, it gets more difficult" , adding that the kids could also get the information through friends at school.
Although Marc and Dayanara's kids live with their mother, several magazines and paparazzi have seen Jlo being incredibly sweet and loving towards them, which confirms that the kids are surrounded by a healthy, loving environment.
So, Dayanara Torres should not be so worried.... specially when she obviously doesn't have her facts straight.
Dayanara, if you're reading this, trust me, don't worry so much:
First, most likely your kids don't even know what's going on, because the so called "controversy" is mostly legal "mambojambo", being manipulated here and there. The controversy here is not WHAT appears in the videos but rather WHO has the legal right to release and use private videos in a commercial way without the other person's consent.
Second, if your kids learn about the video, you should know by now there are NO sex or intimate scenes in the video... It's just an embarrassing video for Jlo who's luckily very happy now and does not wish to have these private images of her honeymoon with an ex exposed... After all, those were private moments and conversations that were NOT meant to be heard or seen by anyone outside Noah and Lopez!
And third, this would be a great opportunity to sit with your kids and alert them about the things that could potentially happen to any famous person, including them. They are Marc Anthony's kids and most likely will be at one point in their lives victims of fame-thirsty, unscrupulous people themselves!
And lastly, may this be the million-tenth cautionary tale regarding videos, texts, and even emails to EVERYONE... Could people just STOP filming themselves and sexting? Even if you're not Jennifer Lopez, you'll save yourself a lot of embarrassment and heartache if you just resist the temptation. Just put that iPhone away.. trust me, you don't need it to have fun!
