Scotty McCreery Fans Get A Taste Of His New Music

Just because American Idol wrapped, doesn't mean that you'll be hearing any less of season 10 champ Scotty McCreery. The part-Puerto Rican crooner has already made quite an impact on the iTunes charts and samples of his newest single have recently leaked online.

In just six short months, Scotty went from a North Carolina high schooler to one of the hottest music artists in the country. His first single, "I Love You This Big," has already sold over 170,000 units, putting him #3 on the iTunes best-seller list (behind such notables as Adele and Pitbull).

Tidbits from his newest track, "Out Of Summertime," have made their way onto the web too and are creating quite a frenzy. A country-tinged love ballad, critics have given it a positive nod for its introspective lyrics.

"That there stage on a little dirt track/ She was second row, her hair pulled back / We were young and free / Oh, she could have been mine / But we ran out of summertime," McCreery belts out in the first verse.

So what's next for Scotty? A lucrative contract with Mercury Nashville Records, plenty of live touring, and a whole lot of adoration from his devoted female fans.
