For the second time this year, Kalimba has been vindicated against lewd sexual accusations. Appearing via video on TVNotas, the singer's ex-girlfriend has gone on record denying that he molested her five-year-old daughter.
"Soy Kimberly de la Campa, quiero que sepan que estoy aquí por voluntad propia," Kalimba's former girlfriend Kimberly explained. "Tengo a aclarar varios acontecimientos que han estado sucediendo en las últimas semanas…ya con cabeza fría, puedo decir que conozco a Kalimba y puedo decir que él sería incapaz de hacer algo así".
According to de la Campa, she did not act with a "cool head" and rushed to accuse Kalimba without really getting to the heart of the matter. She went on to say that after several therapy sessions with her daughter, it was clear that Kalimba was not responsible for any wrongdoing.
Of course, the fact that Kalimba's attorneys have threatened legal action may have had an impact on Kimberly's retraction as well. It is also interesting to note that de la Campa had accused her ex of sexually abusing her too, but as of right now, she seems to have distanced herself from that statement as well.
With so many changing stories, we may never know the whole truth. But hopefully, continued therapy sessions for all involved may help ease the pain.
What do you think about Kimberly’s new story? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.
