Paris Hilton's new reality show The World According To Paris (Wednesday nights, Oxiygen) threw disappointing ratings and a controversy involving Barbara Walters, a producer, and a cancelled press day. Apparently, according to RATINGS, the world doesn't want to see Paris!
Less than 400,000 tuned in to watch the premiere, and if ratings don't improve it could get the ax.
Let me just start by saying that this show's producer must be Paris's ultimate friendnemy. Why? Well, for starters, any member of the audience that couldn't stand Paris in the past, will absolutely hate her this time around!
In The World According to Paris the real Paris Hilton is revealed with a vengeance. She is not cute, or funny, or hot… In this show, Paris and her BFF’s (Including Charlie Sheen’s ex, Brooke Mueller) are mean spirited, vicious, spoiled brat that yell at assistants, mistreat servants and bad mouth everyone around them. The show is way beyond boring, it's actually sad!
The actress, who has shown and spoken about her remorse regarding the infamous sex tape in 2003, (most recently with CNN's Pierce Morgan) seems to contradict herself appearing taking gratuitous hot tub baths in her Beverly Hills Mansion that do not seem to add any crucial information to the show’s storyline.
As if disrespecting everyone but her grandmother on the show wasn't enough, Paris thinks the audience and the ladies of The View are nothing short of stupid.
When promoting her reality TV mess on The View and asked about what this reality show had different from all of the other options out there, Paris replied, "THIS ONE is not scripted at all".
Well Paris, when quotes on the show include gems such as this one: "All you have to do in life is go out with your friends, party hard and look better than the b***h next to you”, trust me girl, just say it's scripted… You're better off!
Regardless, how can she even suggest it’s not scripted when the whole show is narrated in a cheese voice over by her?
It's that tendency of Paris of believing she can get away with lying and cursing and behaving like a brat, what has made her less and less likeable through out the years.
Even Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg grilled her at their show.
Walters criticized Hilton for complaining on camera about her 200 hours of community service. She also questioned that if indeed she was such a do-gooder. "Why not present that side of yourself, if indeed it exists?", Walters asked.
An evidently tense and uncomfortable Hilton rolled her eyes, and rumor has it that after the show both Hilton and her father Rick scolded a The View producer as they were very upset at the tone of the interview.
A rep of the show confirmed the very uncomfortable incident.
Apparently Hilton was so distraught that she went on to a night of heavy partying and the next day cancelled all press interviews claiming she had a cold and could be contagious.
This morning, Paris's mom appeared on The Today Show hoping to do some damage control… But unfortunately social media and online comments are uncontrollable at this point!
This Wednesday we'll see if they can pick up some more viewers…
Will you watch The World According to Paris?
