Right now is a very good time to be musically talented. Shows like American Idol and The Voice are dominating the ratings and giving regular people the opportunity to reach a nationwide audience. Now Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are getting in on the action too, with the announcement of their ¡Q’Viva! reality series.
Officially called ¡Q’Viva! The Chosen, reps for the show have labeled it "the greatest celebration of Latin culture." What does that mean exactly? Producers J. Lo and Marc will be specifically targeting the Latin Americans, traveling to countries like Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and more in search of talent.
And it's not just everyday singing stars that the Anthonys are looking for. Their show hopes to find the best dancers, the best musicians, and the best live performers.
"Very soon the world's heart will beat to the tune of Latin rhythms and we're looking forward to experiencing history in the making," Marc and Jennifer said in a joint statement. "It is with great pride that we embark on this amazing and very personal mission to discover and celebrate the most captivating talent the world has ever seen."
Wasting no time, ¡Q’Viva! has already launched a Facebook and YouTube campaign looking for show applicants. Check it out online and see if you've got the goods to be The Chosen one.
