Believe it or not, it's been nearly two years since we've gotten a new album from teen queen Demi Lovato. Obviously her recent personal issues had a lot to do with the extended musical break, but now it looks like the former Disney Channel star is back in the studio again.
Speaking with Seventeen magazine, Demi dropped some interesting tidbits about to expect from her new recordings.
"With my new album, I'm hoping to provide inspiration for girls everywhere who are going through the same issues I’ve faced. I think this will come through in a lot of the material," Lovato explained.
Demi has definitely had her share of challenges within the past several months. Back in November, Lovato checked herself into a rehab facility and she recently admitted that suffers from bipolar disorder.
But rather than use those issues as a crutch, the Camp Rock star has transformed them into positive lyrical messages for her latest batch of songs. Speaking about her next single (which she claims is coming "very soon"), Demi said,
"My first single is really special to me— to me it symbolizes my journey from the person I was to the happy healthy person I am today, and the fact that people are able to rise above anything, despite the odds."
Are you looking forward to Demi's new album? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.
