It looks like Paris Hilton’s new arch enemy will be back on the USA Network for at least one more year. Execs at the cable channel confirmed that Sarah Shahi's Fairly Legal show is coming back, but with a few significant changes.
Despite a strong start, Fairly Legal was not considered a major hit for the network. As USA prepared its 2012 lineup, many wondered whether or not the show would return. But, as Deadline.com put it, Sarah was too hot of a commodity to let go.
The Hollywood website claims that Shahi was the reason the series was given another chance. USA co-president Chris McCumber labeled the half-Spanish actress a “breakout star.” But interestingly, the execs did admit that Legal was in need of a retooling.
When speaking about the show, USA’s other co-president Jeff Watchel said,
"Not every first season is the best, and we think it is a show that can do better."
Many insiders are speculating that the network will drastically change the creative direction of Legal when season two premieres in early 2012. But as long as Sarah’s on board, you can bet Team Blogamole will be watching!
