C’mon, you knew Jennifer Lopez’ decision to sign on for American Idol wasn’t just to judge singing talent. All season long, there have been teases and promotions for her latest album Love?, which finally hits stores today.
So far, most of the music critics have not been too kind to Love? Though everyone pretty much agrees that its leadoff "On The Floor" single is a hit, the rest of the album supposedly does not hold up very well.
"Love? arrives with shiny production credits. But it's undone by J.Lo's slight voice and slighter personality," wrote Rolling Stone critic Jody Rosen.
L.A. Times writer Mikael Wood wrote,
"It’s a limp, personality-free dance-pop collection with plenty of A-list collaborations but none of the lightweight charm she once brought in hits like ‘Waiting for Tonight’ and ‘Jenny From the Block.’"
Other outlets like Entertainment Weekly gave Love? a standard C rating, calling it "empty" and "less than stellar." But we’re sure that won’t stop the hardcore Jenny fans from investing in some new tracks, especially after they see her new “I’m Into You” video with William Levy.
Latin blogs have been buzzing for weeks about the sizzling shoot between J. Lo and the 30-year-old novela star. Levy confessed that he had a great time filming the ultra exotic video.
"It was very nice. I really had a great time," William said.
And you can see it all for yourself. Both Love? and the "I’m Into You" video are available now.
