Innocent pat-down or groping? That’s what bloggers were debating this Friday as news broke about a former Miss USA getting "molested" at a Dallas airport. And it’s not just any Miss USA, this one happens to be former MTV Tr3s VJ Susie Castillo!
Speaking with TMZ, it's clear that Susie was very emotional about the ordeal. In tears, the former beauty queen explained how a TSA agent touched her genitals multiple times as she was passing through security.
"My private area was grazed four times!” Castillo said. “That's why I'm crying, that's why I'm so upset. They're making me choose to either get molested, because that's what I feel like, or go through this machine that's completely unhealthy and dangerous."
Within the past year, the Transportation Security Association has take quite a bit of heat for its invasive pat-down procedures. Passengers always have the option of going through electromagnetic scanning machines instead, but many fear its radiation can cause harmful effects.
Since Castillo’s accusation, TSA spokesman Luis Casanova did release a statement denying any improper conduct during the search.
"Everything [the screener] did was according to protocol. The issue at hand here is Ms. Castillo's feelings about the pat-down, whether it was done correctly. It was done correctly. She has discomfort about it. For that, we're sorry."
What do you think about TSA pat-downs? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.
