Of course Catherine, the new Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge, looked simply dashing this morning at her much anticipated nuptials to Prince William of Wales or as the Queen appointed him,  the Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus.

The Duchess wore a refined, yet youthful Alexander McQueen long-sleeved, sweetheart-neckline gown with lace overlay, complete with a nine foot train and veil, designed by Sarah Burton.

While the bride was a vision in white, the real stars of the show, after the newlyweds that is, were the collection of hats atop the heads of the women at the 2,000 attendee celebration. We've got a round up of some of the hits...and misses.

From Left to Right/ Top  to Bottom:

1) Victoria Beckham went simpler than we would have expected in a navy cap. We're guessing she toned down her vibrant A-list style for the royals.

2) Princess Letizia nailed the mark with a simple peach number and veil.

3 /4 ) Both Charlene Wittstock, the fiancee of Prince Albert II of Monaco and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden looked lovely in wide brim hats, although we do favor Charlene's choice.

5) Britain's Queen Elizabeth wore a wonderful yellow top hat adorned with a flower. Who would dare insult the Queen Mum, though?

6) So, we'll take it out on her daughter! Anne, the Princess Royal's purple cap would have been better suited without the floral garb.

7/8) Queen Margrethe of Denmark and Queen Sofia of Spain definitely disappointed. Their choice in head wear didn't reflect their royal bank accounts.

9) Carole Middleton looked magnificent...for a commoner. Their words, not ours.

10) Princess Beatrice's hat is probably the most famous of them all! A facebook page has since been erected in its honor with over 34,000 likes. In fact, Princess B is so well known for her hat misses, there's even a Tumblr following her fashion faux pas. This deserves a close-up!

11) Princess Eugenie, though not as bad as her sister, was definitely a fashion disaster with her pointed mad hatter complete with feathers or fur...we're not sure

12) Finally, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, looked decent, we have to say. But when a nation of people despise you for engaging in adultery with the beloved Princess Diana's former husband, you kind of have to look good at all the big events, no?

In between all of those fun beats and loud guitars, artists often slip powerful statements into their lyrics. Maná has been famous for speaking their mind through song and they’re using their latest album Drama y Luz to help spread the word about immigration reform.

At last week's Billboard Latin Music Conference, lead singer Fher Olvera spoke up about the plight of America’s undocumented citizens.

"We will keep supporting those people. Because they are the people, the workers, who really put the bread on Americans' tables."

Drummer Alex Gonzalez heartily agreed with the statement, and brought up how his songwriting contributions were heavily influenced by the immigration issue. His Drama y Luz track, “Latino America” focuses on prejudices that are way too common within the Hispanic community.

A self-described “protest song,” “Latino America” also has some funky instrumentation mixed in as well. Gonzalez hopes the catchy beats will "get people jumping up and singing" the positive lyrical message.

Other album tracks like “No Te Rindas” focus on staying strong during times of hardship (something many  immigrants can identify with). We definitely applaud Maná for their efforts and, by the looks of Drama y Luz’s record sales, a LOT of people are listening.

Innocent pat-down or groping? That’s what bloggers were debating this Friday as news broke about a former Miss USA getting "molested" at a Dallas airport. And it’s not just any Miss USA, this one happens to be former MTV Tr3s VJ Susie Castillo!

Speaking with TMZ, it's clear that Susie was very emotional about the ordeal. In tears, the former beauty queen explained how a TSA agent touched her genitals multiple times as she was passing through security.

"My private area was grazed four times!” Castillo said. “That's why I'm crying, that's why I'm so upset. They're making me choose to either get molested, because that's what I feel like, or go through this machine that's completely unhealthy and dangerous."

Within the past year, the Transportation Security Association has take quite a bit of heat for its invasive pat-down procedures. Passengers always have the option of going through electromagnetic scanning machines instead, but many fear its radiation can cause harmful effects.

Since Castillo’s accusation, TSA spokesman Luis Casanova did release a statement denying any improper conduct during the search.

"Everything [the screener] did was according to protocol. The issue at hand here is Ms. Castillo's feelings about the pat-down, whether it was done correctly. It was done correctly. She has discomfort about it. For that, we're sorry."

Get ready for another chapter in the ongoing saga of Alex Rodriguez and Cameron Diaz. As of last month, the on-again, off-again couple was still going strong. But that was before the media push for Cameron’s new movie Bad Teacher. Now Bossip is reporting that the Yankees slugger is dealing with a few jealousy issues, particularly because Diaz’s new costar happens to be her ex, Justin Timberlake!

Whenever a new movie comes out, the leading actors always have to make tons of appearances together. There are press junkets, talk shows, and all kinds of functions that put the co-stars in very close quarters. And seeing how Cameron and Justin had a very public romance from 2003-2006, could there be a possibility this new publicity tour may spark up old flames?

Not if A. Rod has anything to say about it. Sources claim that he visited Cameron quite a few times during the production of Bad Teacher. And seeing his beefy 6’2” frame on set was probably quite intimidating for Justin and his entourage.

According to Bossip’s insider,

Alex Rodriguez is a very confident man when it comes to baseball..but in his love-life he’s very insecure.”

The unnamed source also said that Rodriguez has become “incredibly jealous” of the friendship that Diaz and Timberlake still share. Though we love Cameron, perhaps it's better for A. Rod if Bad Teacher becomes a box office flop. At least that way he won’t have to worry about her and JT getting together for any sequels.

Do you think A. Rod has a right to be jealous? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 13 years since Antonio Banderas first donned his black cape and hat in The Mask of Zorro. Though the studio desperately tried to turn that movie into an ongoing franchise, its lackluster sequel and dismal box office returns kept the dream from ever happening. Now, it seems that 20th Century Fox is keen on bringing the masked Latin outlaw back, but in an entirely new fashion.

Latino Review is reporting that Fox hopes to reboot the legendary character in a new movie called Zorro Reborn. But instead of the historic California setting that Zorro fans know and love, this crusader will be fighting evil in a “desolate and post-apocalyptic world.”

Still in its very early development stages, the L.A. Times described the project as,

“Less a caped crusader for justice than a one-man vigilante force bent on revenge, in a western story that has echoes of both Sergio Leone and No Country for Old Men.’”

It all sounds very interesting to us, particularly the No Country for Old Men angle. Could that mean they may be considering a certain Spanish heavyweight to take on the role of Don Diego de la Vega?

To be honest, the character of Zorro has undergone quite a few changes since his creation nearly a century ago. Varying media interpretations have sent him to the future, given him magic powers, and even changed his gender (who can forget Tessie Santiago in Queen of Swords?).

So we say, why not? It’s obvious the old-fashioned swashbuckler imaged seemed a little stale for movie audiences. Who knows? Maybe they could even pit a post-apocalyptic Zorro against the Terminator!

If you’re ever wondering which Hispanic leaders to keep an eye on, look no further than Jarrett Barrios. A Harvard grad, a former Massachusetts Senator and now president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), he is hugely influential in shaping the Latino presence in America. This week, he spoke out about a very interesting issue, the presence of gays in telenovelas.

“I would say they’re getting better,” Jarrett explained to Latina. “They’ve been slow to adapt, but this past year we’ve seen a couple of really good advances on a couple of telenovelas.”

Interestingly, Barrios may have been talking about the lesbian kiss Kate del Castillo recently shared with Christina Urgel in the hugely popular soap, La Reina del Sur. A pivotal moment seen by millions of Telemundo viewers, it was a small step towards the inclusion of more gay characters on Spanish TV.

Jarrett believes that Latinos as a whole are becoming much more supportive of gay rights and, though there are still some prejudices within la cultura, things are moving in a positive direction.

"What we’re finding in our research at GLAAD, is that Latinos are as, or more, supportive of marriage equality. And it’s because Latinos understand the value of family and how important it is to have that family at the center of our culture. That doesn’t mean that social taboos are erased overnight — what it means is that Latinos are open to supporting the equality of their lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender friends, family, and neighbors."

And it’s clear that GLAAD has put a lot of support back into the Latino community. At its most recent Media Awards, the organization honored Ricky Martin with the coveted Vito Russo Award and dedicated nine categories to Spanish-language nominees.

Barrios made sure to heap some praise on Ricky as well for all of the work that he has done to support gay causes throughout Latin America.

"The power of [Martin’s] coming out narrative, in coming out with pride — it’s been extraordinary. And we’ve seen the conversation change in many respects, where you’ve now got an awareness, a face on the gay community in Latin America —and in Spanish language media— that you didn’t have before. A young gay person just coming out can cite him as an example, can look to his life and his success as something to hope for. There’s a hopefulness to his story that is very powerful, in particular to Latino GLBT’s."

Add to that prominent gay roles in novelas like Niños Ricos, Pobres Padres, and Victorinos and you’ve got a lot of progress to be proud of.

Do you feel like the Latino culture has become more accepting of the gay lifestyle? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.

Things are definitely getting tense during these last few weeks of American Idol. Last night saw Scotty McCreery, Casey Abrams, and Jacob Lusk facing elimination in the Bottom Three and, for better or worse, it was Casey who was shown the door. Speaking to Tr3s via conference call this morning, Abrams seemed to be ok with the decision and wished his fellow competitors well.

“I really didn’t expect to make it to the top,” Casey explained. “The guys [I was competing with] are incredible. Wednesday night I was thinking, if I go home tomorrow, I’m ok with that.”

That’s not to say that Casey didn’t leave a lasting impression. With his scruffy beard, trademark “growl,” and lovable personality, he was able to woo both the crowd and the judges. Randy, Jennifer, and Steven liked him so much, they even used a “save” to squash his elimination a few weeks back.

Steven Tyler gave me some really good advice, and so did Jennifer Lopez,” Abrams..

He also jokingly brought up that infamous J. Lo "kiss" from last week that stirred up quite a few posts in the twitterverse.

J. Lo let me kiss her,” he said. “But then Steven Tyler kissed me back!”

It’s clear that Casey was one of this season’s most unpredictable characters. Every performance he gave brought a lot of spontaneity, something the 20-year-old jazz enthusiast seemed quite proud of.

“When I’m on stage and people are watching me, I tend to do things no one would expect. My last two performances kind of sum it up. It’s like let’s rock hard and then let’s slow it down and be smooth.”

One interesting issue that was on all of the interviewers’ minds was Casey’s rumored relationship with fellow Idol Haley Reinhart. Abrams made a point to clear everything up, denying any romance between the two.

“No, we are not dating. We were never dating.”

We'll see what Haley has to say about all that when she gets interviewed in the next few weeks!

Call it the event of the decade. All over the world, cameras were filming the nuptials of Britain’s Prince William and his bride Kate Middleton. As expected, the 2,000+ guest list included dignitaries from across Europe (including Spain’s royal family), but  quite a few celebs got invites as well.

David Beckham and his wife Victoria looked “posh”  in their designer duds. David sported a tight-fitting black suit and top hat, while Mrs. Becks donned an elegant dark dress. Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish also attended the ceremony, singing hymns as the bride walked down the aisle.

British comedy fans probably got a kick out of seeing Mr. Bean in the audience. Interestingly Rowan Atkinson, who plays the clumsy character, is a good friend of William’s dad Prince Charles. Also partaking in the festivities was film director Guy Ritchie, Madonna's ex.

Perhaps one of the most unusual attendees was soul singer Joss Stone. Not your typical British blue-blood, the “You Had Me” crooner reportedly became quite close to Prince William after singing at a benefit for his late mother, Diana.

And how about the entertainment for the royal reception? Pop Crush is reporting that UK indie star Ellie Goulding took to the mic for some lovely post-wedding jams.

Every few years (or months if the TV shows are not producing enough money) Tyler Perry dresses himself in drag and becomes a big black lady with sparkling eyes, weight lifter muscles and the sharp tongue of Oprah’s character in the Color Purple. Madea’s Big Happy Family is a rehash of most of Perry’s favorite subjects with a more sitcom-like quality than usual.

There is no doubt that Tyler is the golden boy of black comedy. Even before Diary of a Mad Black Woman hit the screen, he has written, directed, produced, acted and marketed 11 successful movies, a whole lot of stage plays, a couple of sitcoms and countless songs.

He even appeared in Star Trek (playing the commander of the Fleet’s Academy), an honor coveted by many. In any case, during the last decade Tyler has managed to become the biggest African American media star eclipsing household names like Chris Rock and Martin Lawrence.

Tyler’s secret is of course no secret; he works like a law intern (that is, like a slave) and has the widest arrange of talents necessary for show business, but even more importantly, he’s got a natural sense for tackling hairy subjects with humor and courage. Is not easy to handle death, marriage, family relations, drug trafficking, jail and The Almighty all in one package, but that is what Madea’s Big Happy Family is all about.

The Plot: Shirley and Aunt Bam go to visit Dr. Evans, he tells her she has cancer. Shirley tells him it will be alright because she believes in God and has lived a good life.

We have to remember that Madea’s relatives are as dysfunctional as any normal American family, so it's natural that Leroy Brown, who’s in the hospital for a prostate exam, also thinks he's dying.

From that point and on, the movie splits between the drama of Shirley’s sickness and her struggle to break the news to her self-centered troublesome children and Brown's tragicomedy of mistaken death.

What works well in this new Madea adventure? Well, Tyler playing Madea, of course, because Tyler, unlike Eddie Murphy or Martin Lawrence, does not play a caricature of an old black lady: he plays an actual black lady. Tyler barely disguises his voice and the makeup doesn’t try to hide the fact that he is a guy. Madea is in a sense Tyler’s feminine voice more than the voice of a woman he’s playing.

The other thing that is really good about Madea’s Big Happy Family is David Mann. Sometimes you forget how funny David is and how well he plays that Brown character But of course that is also part of Tyler’s genius; Leroy Brown is one of his oldest stage characters and to date accumulates a fictional life spanning a couple of plays, a mayor movie and a television franchise.

Even though this  is not at the same level as the first Madea movie, the new addition in the series is outrageous, funny and thoughtful.

If you are a Perry fan, Madea latest installment will make you happy and if you are not, give it a try anyway; Tyler is one of the few directors in Hollywood that can make you laugh and cry at the same time, and that is a rare talent.

It’s hard to think of two movies that are more different than Fast Five and Prom. Yet both will be battling it out for the top slot at the box office this weekend. And interestingly, with its eccentric cast, charming storyline, and upbeat message, it’s the heartwarming teen flick that may just be the better bet.

Though comparisons will undoubtedly be made to Disney’s High School Musical, Prom does stand out as a unique and original film (which is more than you can say for Fast Five). Almost working as a throwback to the offbeat teen comedies of the 1980’s, this movie has no over-the-top dance numbers, no exaggerated clichés, and no Efron-esque pretty boys singing into a microphone.

Instead, Prom revolves around 14 very different and very engaging leads, all of whom have at least one trait we can identify with. Scream 4’s Aimee Teegarden stars as Nova, the overachiever who soon learns that there’s more to life than textbooks. Newcomer Thomas McDonell leaves a memorable impression as her prom crush Jesse, a rebellious character who could have easily come off as a motorcycle riding stereotype, but doesn’t.

Though most teen rom coms would leave it at that and just focus on the Nova/Jesse relationship, Prom takes things a little further. It gives just as much screen time to characters like Lloyd, the lovable loser desperate for a date, and Ali (played by Tr3s fave Janelle Ortiz) the gossipy girl who may or may not have a "thing" for surfer dude Rolo.

There is also the two-faced jock, the sensitive new girl, the troubled prom queen, and many more (including a hilarious Raini Rodriguez as fast-talking Tess). And though you probably won’t recognize most of the actors in Prom, that actually works in the movie’s favor. There are no 30-year-olds playing high school students here. Each fresh face brings with it a level of authenticity, particularly since you can't identify these actors with characters they’ve played in the past.

What also works well about this movie is its timeless, universal appeal. No matter when you graduated, it's still easy to relate to the anxiety, camaraderie, and utter joy of that one special night. Prom encapsulates the high school dance experience vividly and mixes in plenty of comedy, love, and quirkiness to keep things interesting.

Bottom line: If you have fond memories of high school then Prom is a great way to relive them. Though it’s definitely more of a female-centric movie, there are plenty of moments guys will get a laugh out of too. So if you’re looking for a date night compromise this weekend, Prom's the perfect choice!
