Check out Perez Hilton’s gossip site and you’ll see a lot of a “mature” content. Not that it’s a bad thing. Perez’s unique sense of humor often has him scribbling hilarious naughty messages on celeb pictures and debuting bold videos. But now the Cuban-American blogger is ready to dabble in a more family-friendly forum with his first children’s book, The Boy with Pink Hair.
The book will be released via Penguin Books and feature illustrations by artist Jen Hill. Any fan of Perez knows that title sounds a little autobiographical. Could the story tell of Hilton’s upbringing in South Florida? Not likely. While we’re sure the narrative will feature some Perez flair, Penguin alludes to more magical forces behind those fuchsia follicles. According to its official statement:
"The Boy with Pink Hair is the story of a child born with a shock of fabulous hair that sets him apart from his peers. While some find this difference hard to accept or understand, The Boy with Pink Hair uses the opportunity to find what makes him special and share it with the world.”
The book, very different from Hilton’s last publishing attempt, Red Carpet Suicide, is set be released in September.
