Paparazzi Snap Pics of Penelope, Javier and Baby Leo

Like it or not, it was only a matter of time before photos of little Leo Bardem (as he is being called in the press) hit the tabloids. Though parents Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem would have probably preferred that their two-month old make his media debut on their terms, Diez Minutos magazine beat them to the punch with some exclusive first photos of the infant.

Photographers snapped pics of little Leo in the middle of a hike in the Los Angeles mountains. Taken with mom and dad in tow, the shots show a visibly upset Penelope trying to hide her son from the invasive zoom lenses. And, to be honest, she did a pretty good job of keeping him out of paparazzi view.

Bundled up in a Baby Bjorn, the shots of Leo are not that detailed. It’s clear that he’s a very big boy, but facial features, eye color and any cute birthmarks were all hidden from the cameras. Penelope and Javier have built a rep for their private ways and, if the rumors are true, she’s very protective about members of her family.

So even though Diez Minutos built an entire cover story around the scoop, we still haven’t gotten that elusive detailed glimpse of Leo. Does he have his dad’s trademark nose? Or his mom’s million-dollar smile? We may have to wait a few more years to find out.
