Mario Domm Solo Album Fuels Camila Breakup Rumors

We all know the scenario: One member of a popular band decides to release his own album, and soon the whole group implodes. Though Camila’s camp is denying all breakup rumors, many in the music world are speculating that frontman Mario Domm’s solo debut may mean the end for the popular Mexican rockers.

Without the talents of Mario Domm, Camila would be in some serious trouble. As one of the main vocalists and the writer of nearly all their hit ballads, his participation has been essential to the band’s success.

Now, feeling the need to branch out beyond the trio of himself, Samo and Pablo Hurtado, Mario has confirmed that he’s in the middle of finishing up his first solo release. Scheduled to come out by 2012, Domm’s new album is guaranteed to stir up plenty of interest. Not just for its songs, but for some possible heartfelt lyrics about that failed romance with Belinda.

For now, Mario has done his best to assure fans that Camila is not breaking up. Generacion.com quoted the singer as saying:

"Estamos en plena gira y ahora nos vamos a Europa. Tenemos concierto en Italia, España y Francia. ¡No tenemos oportunidad para pensar en una separación", se limitó a contestar.”

In other words, Camila is sticking together, at least until those obligations with the European tour wind down.
