Beauty and cosmetics always seem to be closely intertwined. Models turn to makeup companies for that perfect touch of glam and the products benefit from being linked to famous faces. That’s why it comes as no surprise to hear that L’Oreal has partnered with Miss Universe, Ximena Navarette.
Crowned back in August, Mexican-born Ximena has attracted legions of fans with her down-to-earth personality and classic good looks. A regular contributor to the twitterverse, Navarette already posted some L’Oreal twitpix on her homepage with the following caption:
“Peinandome para seguir grabando L`Oreal ...BESOS♥#fb #missuniverse”
Ximena will “officially” model for L’Oreal Paris, lending her image and name to brand’s massive international division. According to Lucire.com, it’s all part of a plan for the cosmetics company to tap into the broader Latin market.
Expect to see Navarette’s face in ads for skin cleansers, perfume and all kinds of makeup-counter must-haves in the next few months. And that’s only the beginning. With alumni that includes Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez, it’s clear that being a L’Oreal covergirl is a great stepping stone for pop culture superstardom.
