J.Lo Suffers Breakdown After Cutting ‘Idol’ Favorite

It’s that time of year again, when American Idol begins its cutthroat eliminations. But as some contestants packed their bags to say goodbye, judge Jennifer Lopez broke down into tears.

In what co-host Ryan Seacrest called “an unprecedented meltdown,” viewers saw Jennifer's raw emotions after the departure of Idol hopeful Chris Medina, who captured our hearts with his incredible voice and touching story (he put his entire life on hold to care for his critically injured fiancé). Medina took the news pretty well, but Lopez could hardly contain herself and confessed that she might have been too harsh on the aspiring singer. Judges Randy and Steven consoled her, but media sites have been buzzing that J.Lo may not have the wherewithal to survive the season.

Despite the tough eliminations, Idol’s trip to Las Vegas featured some exciting interpretations of Beatles songs, and fan favorite Ashley Sullivan, who was eliminated Wednesday, even tied the knot! We can't wait to see the Top 24 fight it out for first place.
