Growing up in Los Angeles, you’re bound to cross paths with a few celebrities. But if you happened to be a student at Long Beach High School back in the late 1980s, you may have shared locker space with both Cameron Diaz and Snoop Dogg. Cameron admitted on Lopez Tonight that she was a classmate of Snoop’s and even bought pot from him.

“He was very tall and skinny and wore lots of ponytails in his hair and I'm pretty sure I got weed from him," the Green Hornet star revealed to George Lopez and his late-night audience.

Diaz also talked about the tough “LBC” life that Snoop rapped about early in his career.

"High school was pretty rough," she said. "Anytime you heard the locker slam and you’d turn and there was a girl taking off her earrings, she’s pulling her hair back in a ponytail and she's taking all her friends’ rings and coming at you like this. It was like 'OK, everybody get back' and you'd be wondering, 'Is she coming at me?'"

The actress went on to eat a media noche sandwich, spoof novelas and even demonstrate some of those golf skills she's been bragging about. Although she didn't divulge any details about her romance with major league slugger Alex Rodriguez, Cameron did break out into laughter when George showed off his special A-Rod bobblehead, noting that she'd already 'hit that.'

We’ve got to hand it to the GLAAD Media Awards. They really make a point to recognize gay and lesbian role models in all mediums. This year's categories include Outstanding Blog, Outstanding Comic Book and Outstanding Film (to name a few). But even more exciting is the fact that novelas, Spanish talk shows and ex-RBD singer Christian Chavez are getting honored too.

The GLAAD Media Awards were created in 1990 to “recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and the issues that affect their lives.” Past honorees include the TV series Ugly Betty, the movie Milk and trailblazer  Pedro Zamora.

This year, Burlesque, Easy A, The Girl Who Played with Fire, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and The Kids Are All Right are nominated for Outstanding Film, Wide Release. HowlI Love You Phillip Morris, La Mission, Patrik, Age 1.5 and Undertow are competing for Outstanding Film, Limited Release. On the television front, Brothers & Sisters was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series and Modern Family for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Of course, we're also rooting for Christian Chavez in the Outstanding (Spanish-Language) Music Artist category. Since publicly coming out (way before Ricky Martin), the pop star has been active in HIV awareness campaigns and has become a role model for young gay Latinos. But above all, he’s a fantastic singer, and we can’t wait to see him take home that prize.

In December, we predicted that Mexican pop star Dulce Maria and Venezuelan duo Chino y Nacho would continue to make great music together after the success of their "Navidad Navidad" single. Now, all three artists, along with Jenni Rivera, are set to perform at the Pepsi Musica Super Bowl Fan Jam on Friday, Feb. 4.

We know what you’re thinking: This year’s Super Bowl is on Sunday, Feb. 6. Well, this won’t be happening in tandem with the Black Eyed Peas halftime show (or Christina's national anthem for that matter), but it will be a great way to kick off football's biggest weekend.

Organized by soft drink powerhouse Pepsi, the Super Bowl Fan Jam will be no small affair. The concert —the second in the NFL Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam concert series — follows opening night performances by Kid Rock, Duran Duran and Jason Derulo on Thursday, Feb. 3, at Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas. The two-and-a-half hour Friday night show will be televised on Univision the following day.

So can we expect some “Navidad Navidad” in the set list? Probably not. But with Dulce and the guys' success with holiday jingles, why not debut an original Valentine’s song for all those NFL wives looking to get romantic on Feb. 14?

Tickets for the NFL Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam concert series are on sale at Ticketmaster. Individual concert tickets are available for $45 and $60 for the Thursday night concert and $45 for the Friday night event.

For more than 10 years now, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has been a hub for musical talent. Located in the southern California desert, the outdoor three-day event has brought in such headliners as Madonna, Prince and Paul McCartney. This year’s concert looks just as promising, with such stars as Kanye West and Kings of Leon scheduled to perform.

More than 100 acts — from '80s throwback Duran Duran to modern crooner Cee Lo Green — are lined up to perform on various stages April 15-17. See the full Coachella 2011 lineup here. But if you’re looking for rock with a Latin twist, we highly recommend checking out these artists:

Caifanes: One of the classic "rock en Español" bands, Caifanes first started making records in Mexico back in the 1980s. Led by charismatic frontman Saul Hernandez, they sold out stadiums throughout Latin America before breaking up in the mid-'90s. Hernandez and drummer Alfonso Andres later formed the mega-successful Jaguares band, but this Coachella appearance will mark the first time the original Caifanes guys have jammed together in more than 15 years.

One Day As a Lion: It’s been fun following the career of Zack de la Rocha. He's fronted Rage Against the Machine (who performed the first Coachella back in 1999), pursued some interesting solo projects and now leads “supergroup” One Day As a Lion. Featuring Jon Theodore from The Mars Volta, Lion combines elements of rap, rock and alternative grunge. And you can bet they'll play at least one Rage classic during their Saturday set.

Deloreon: Though not quite as high-profile as Caifanes or One Day As a Lion, Spain’s Deloreon is just as interesting. For one thing, the band got its name from the Back to the Future car, so it must have some funky sci-fi elements mixed into its sound. Labeled under the alternative dance genre, Deloreon features computer-based syntho beats and elements of punk. Plus, its most recent album, Subiza, really wowed critics.

Los Bunkers: One of the great things about Coachella is its ability to attract bands from around the world. Hailing from Chile, Los Bunkers has released six studio albums and built a dedicated fan base. Featuring elements of Latin folk and the pop sensibilities of their favorite group, The Beatles, the five guys of Los Bunkers are masters of their respective instruments and never fail to deliver a compelling live set.

Kanye West may be the most misunderstood artist of all time. Whether the ostentatious Chicago emcee is complimenting or criticizing his musical peers, Yeezy's sarcastic comments always draw plenty of attention. Now he's done it again.

Last Friday, Jan. 14, West tweeted (and later removed) a message congratulating Britney Spears for landing the No. 1 spot on iTunes with her new single "Hold It Against Me."

"Yo Britney, I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you be #1, but me and Jay-Z's single is one of the best songs of all time! LOL."

Ye's well-wishes came after learning that "H.A.M.," his collaboration with Jay-Z off the duo's upcoming joint album Watch The Throne, had dropped to the No. 2 spot due to Brit Brit's smash hit.

Spear's manager, Adam Leber, responded to West's remark.

"@kanyewest Thanks for 'letting' us be #1. Much appreciated."

Assuming that his earlier comment was misconstrued, Kanye amended his statement.

"On a serious note I'm truly happy for @ and @...... No hate in 2011!"

But it was too late. Us Weekly had already turned Yeezy's comments into a full-on Twitter beef, calling Ye a "poor sport." Adding insult to injury, MSNBC and other sites reposted the Us article, sending West on the following Twitter rampage:

"I thought LOL signified a joke... I didn't get the 2011 LOL doesn't signify a joke anymore memo... LOL or something else I guess."

"Just saw that MSNBC said I tried to start a twitter war with Brittany [sic]. This sh-- takes the air out my lungs sometimes from blogs to news reports ... enough already!!! All I do is focus on my work."

"There's a new lie everyday... a new media spin... I never got a watch with my face on it!!! A company tried to give that to me 9 yrs ago!"

"I'm one of the most considerate people in real life. Maybe over considerate. Over caring. Overly real."

"There is no astronaut training for celebrity... even though this whole life is so outer space!"

"I was actually surprised that a record as raw as 'H.A.M.' could make it to #2 on iTunes."

"How can u 'let' someone be number one??!! That was the whole joke!!! I know intelligent people know this so bear with me."

"When I said the comment about Brittney [sic] I was giving her props for being #1 not dissing her at all!"

"But stop making it seem that my aim is to hurt or down people! That's just not my style!"

"As pop stars we're all in this shit together! We on the inside of the TV!"

"If the media wants to make a story ... just say I have atrocious spelling and terrible grammar."

Well, we can't argue with that.

It’s a good thing Sandra Bullock isn’t on Twitter. The posts exchanged between Mexican-born tattoo artist Kat Von D and Bullock’s ex, Jesse James, are taking cheesy romance to a whole new level. And with what looks like a diamond engagement ring spotted on Kat’s finger, rumors are flying that the controversial lovebirds are now engaged.

Maybe it’s because Valentine’s Day is less than a month away. Maybe it’s because he feels sorry that Von D’s house burned down. Whatever the reason, Jesse’s been tweeting his feelings all over the Twitterverse.

“I have Never Felt so Loved! I’m The Luckiest MoFo in the World!” Jesse posted on Jan. 9.

The next day, he tweeted, “Went from top of Cloud 9! to Total Despair in 1hr 35min Flat. So Missing @thekatvond.”

We’re all about expressing love and affection, but considering that it hasn't even been a year since James cheated on and publicly humiliated Bullock, perhaps he should relax his romantic urges a bit.

Von D, on the other hand, appears to be marking her territory. As Kat said in her love Tweet to Jesse:

"What are we gonna do? I'm not a Stage-Five-Clinger, but I need you around me, babe."

Jennifer Lopez has always been a shrewd businesswoman who knows how to get her products — be it her fragrance or her Kohl's clothing line — noticed with provocative marketing campaigns. Now that she's in the spotlight again on American IdolJ.Lo's making sure listeners get a taste of her upcoming album, Love?, and her new single "On The Floor" with Pitbull.

The high-energy track by über-producer RedOne kicks off with some foot-stomping Pitbull beats, then slowly eases into an otherworldly singalong dance club mix. Featuring multiple change-ups and elements of rap, techno and space pop, "On The Floor" is bold, but is it catchy? Audiences may find themselves struggling with that question.

Of course, savvy La Lopez prepared for bad press, too. If audiences don’t dig “On The Floor,” she’s got a cover of Bananarama’s classic '80s track “Venus” waiting in the wings. We’re sure at least one of the songs will get listeners excited about her upcoming album, even if the overuse of Auto-Tune makes her sound like a singing computer.

Millions of women across America tune into The View every day for a variety of female perspectives. The show features young mothers, such as Elizabeth Hasslebeck, and 50-something African-Americans, such as Whoopi Goldberg, but so far no Latinas.

Extra’s producers are hoping to change all that with their new series Chit Chat. The pilot, introduced by Mario Lopez, aired as a half-hour special on Christmas Day, featuring a top-notch round table of Latina talkers. The show will air again during Extra’s Weekend Edition, but insiders say it could spin off into its own series within the next few months.

Two of the show's hosts were "married" to comedian George Lopez — his ex-wife Ann Lopez and his former TV wife, Constance Marie. The other co-hosts include BET’s Julissa Bermudez, singer Sara Sohn and former Dancing With the Stars contestant Sabrina Bryan.

Looking at the guest roster, it’s clear that Chit Chat's producers are taking this project seriously. Colombian rocker Juanes sat down with the ladies to discuss his new album and Azteca sports reporter Ines Sainz dished on motherhood and football. We can think of at least one other guest who could really get this group talking.
