Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem Have a Baby Boy!

The news just keeps getting better for actor Javier Bardem. Earlier this week, he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor for his role in Biutiful and now Us Magazine is reporting that he’s the proud father of a baby boy!

Javier’s wife, Penelope Cruz, delivered their first child at L.A.’s Cedars Sinai Hospital over the weekend. Bardem’s mother flew overseas to be present for the joyous event, along with Penelope’s mother and sister. Her brother Eduardo was there too, but there’s been no word whether he brought along rumored galpal Eva Longoria.

According to Penelope’s rep, “Both parents and baby are doing great.” Though no name has been disclosed for the little one, we think Javier Jr. has a nice ring to it.

We do know that the couple was ready. Penelope threw herself a baby shower just in time for the arrival. The Bardems held the party at their Hollywood mansion Jan. 15, inviting such guests as Bar Rafaeli and Leonardo DiCaprio. Let’s hope they got a nice, cozy crib for the little one to come home to.
