Somehow, we just knew the rumors couldn't be true. We are thrilled to report that bachata band Aventura isn't breaking up after all. And even better, the group plans to release a new studio album in 2010.
Marti Cuevas, general manager of the band’s Premio Latin Music label, broke the news in a statement: “El grupo seguirá unido y ya tiene fecha para el lanzamiento de su próximo disco" (The group will remain united and already has a date for their next album release).
Don’t worry, Henry and Romeo still plan to release their highly anticipated solo albums in addition to the group's project. And the group still plans to release another single from their 2009 smash record, The Last.
With such songs as “El Malo,” “Su Veneno” and the Wisin y Yandel collaboration “All Up 2 You” all topping the Latin Singles Charts, the album has made quite an impact since its release. Now they’re hoping to repeat that success by releasing “La Curita” just in time for Christmas.
Unfortunately the group hasn't released any other details about the 2012 album, but we'll keep you posted as soon as we hear something.
Are you excited about Aventura's next album? Tell us below or @MTV3.
