Can you believe it’s been more than a year and a half since Wisin y Yandel released a proper studio album? Sure, we got to hear some live music and remixes, but 2009’s La Revolución was the Puerto Rican duo's last full-fledged record — until now. According to Terra, the album Regreso de los Vaqueros drops early next year, but the reggaetoneros are giving fans a bumpin’ first taste with the new single, “Zun Zun Rompiendo Caderas.”
The upcoming album is a sequel of sorts to their 2006 smash Los Vaqueros, pairing Wisin y Yandel with such superstars as 50 Cent and T-Pain and Tr3s faves Tito El Bambino and Jowell y Randy, who gave us one of our all-time favorite Rock Dinners.
We think the “Zun Zun” song released this week is a perfect anthem to build buzz for the new record. Featuring heavy auto-tune choruses, trademark W y Y beats, and plenty of aggressive vocals, it’ll definitely shake up any holiday party dance floor.
So when do we get to hear all 22 tracks? It looks like Regreso de los Vaqueros will hit iTunes and music stores sometime next February. C'mon, what’s a better Valentine's Day gift than fresh reggaeton from Wisin y Yandel?
