It’s getting harder and harder to tell what magazine pix are real these days. Thanks to the power of the airbrush, wrinkles can disappear, thighs can slim down and clothes can magically disappear! At least that’s what Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend is claiming. According to Irina Shayk, GQ Spain digitally removed underwear from her recent photo shoot.
Keep in mind, Irina has posed nude before. But this time she was supposedly photographed wearing skimpy lingerie, which she claims mysteriously vanished from the published pictures. According to a statement from Shayk’s talent agency:
"[The pictures are] defamatory towards Ms. Shayk's persona and image. This lack of professionalism and neglect towards the future of Ms. Shayk's modeling career in an effort to sell magazines is not only shocking but unacceptable from such an established and [prestigious] publication as GQ."
And GQ fired back. In its blog, the publication stated:
“Irina posed nude for GQ — Irina knows it, Elite knows it, the photographer knows it and so do the stylists and the fifteen witnesses who attended the photo shoot.”
That statement has stirred up plenty of conspiracy theories that Shayk did, in fact, pose nude and made a fuss for the purposes of stirring up publicity. Well, if that’s the case, it worked. European sites have been covering the drama nonstop and posting the pantyless pic all over the web.
Of course, the one person we’re REALLY interested to hear from is Ronaldo. So far, his Tweets have been quiet on the issue, but we’ve got to wonder if he’ll cancel his GQ subscription after this.
