If someone in your family is five years or younger, you've probably heard of Yo Gabba Gabba! The Nick Jr. phenomenon is broadcast to millions of kids each day and even tours the country with an extravagant live show. If you ever make it to one, don't be surprised if you spot a few celebs in the crowd. As it turns out, Yo Gabba Gabba! shows are great for star-gazing.
No. 1 fan Violet Madison Nash and her mom, Christina Milian, attended Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! There’s a Party in My City! Thanksgiving weekend at the Nokia Theatre in L.A., along with R&B star Kelis and her son, Knight. The upbeat kids' show must have been a great escape from all the dirty chisme about her divorce flying around because Christina and her eight-month-old daughter seemed to be having an awfully good time goofing around with characters Foofa and Toodee.
And they're not the only ones. Nicole Richie’s daughter Harlow and Gwen Stefani’s sons were all spotted at the show’s star-studded live event. Nicole and Joel Madden even jumped around on stage for some interactive musical fun.
So what makes Gabba Gabba so great? Think of it as children's programming with a hip-hop twist: Yellow robots and green, fuzzy space aliens with DJs, beatboxing and (one of my personal favorites) Dancey Dance Time! Team Blogamole hasn’t checked out Gabba Gabba live yet, but we're putting it on our to-do list.
